    I was trying to "fill series" for sequential numbers but didn't see that option. It told me I had to grab a few cells of the series to get an idea of what I wanted it to fill the rest of them with. I was able to do that and figure it out thanks to this video. The video was extremely helpful and saved me time. Thanks again.

    Just use =SEQUENCE (range of numbers)
    E.g. =SEQUENCE(1000), gives you a list of numbers from 1-1000😊
    though this is also really easy shortcut

    • @ExcelCampus
      @ExcelCampus  Před 6 měsíci

      Great question! 😀 Yes, you can double-left-click the bottom-right corner and it will fill all the way down to match the other column's data. Check out the 0:18-0:20 mark in the video. If you need the numbers to increase, check out the 0:30-0:34 mark in the video. I hope that helps you! 😊

    Is there any shortcut of that + sign at the corner of the cell.....and I am not talking about Ctrl D....I don't want to select any area but still want to fill the series without using mouse

    • @ExcelCampus
      @ExcelCampus  Před 6 měsíci

      Nice question! Difficult without selecting an area. Consider converting the range to a table (Ctrl+T), then selecting the entire column (Ctrl+Space). Use Alt+H, F, I ("eye", not L), S. That gets you to the Fill > Series menu. You can either go with the step value listed, use tab to navigate the options, or choose Alt+T to jump to the Trend box. Lastly, press the Enter key. This may not work for your specific case, but it avoids using the mouse.

    how do you fill starting from under to the top ? in example 1 is at the bottom but you want 10 on top

    • @ExcelCampus
      @ExcelCampus  Před 8 měsíci

      Great question, Dean! One way is to fill 1-10 as shown, then Sort the selection from Largest to Smallest. That will reverse the order. Then, re-apply 1-10 as shown from top to bottom and re-sort if desired. Another way without sorting would be to enter 10 at the top, then from the Ribbon choose Home > Editing > Fill (down arrow) > "Series...". Change "Series in" to Columns, the step value to -1, and the stop value to 1, then select OK. Hope that helps!

    how to fill in series numbers backward as you start with #130 to #1. hope you notice

    • @ExcelCampus
      @ExcelCampus  Před 6 měsíci

      I noticed, CJ! 😀 Use the SEQUENCE function, available in newer Excel versions. =SEQUENCE(130,1,130,-1) yields 130 rows, in 1 column, starting at 130, going backward by 1 ("-1"). Sequence: czcams.com/video/TcFffdPbTfU/video.html&Also, Fill Series (Alt+H+F+I+S) with Trend checked and a Step value of -1 would work. Fill Series: czcams.com/video/5a9gGhRvflw/video.html&
      Hope that helps!
