👋 My name is Ryan & at age 30 I quit my day job. I used to work full time as a Sr. Front End Web Developer (I quit this job), & part-time as an adjunct professor teaching web development at a local university (I kept this job - I like teaching!). Both of my day jobs were awesome! @@RyanHoguePassiveIncome i got sidetracked with work but once I submitted my upc and lag time exemption it took about 5 days to get those passed BUT I am having a very difficult time with getting my products onto the walmart site. I wonder if you have any tutorial of publish from printify and then what to do when they are items in your catalog on walmart. For me - they show up in my catalog, I have downloaded the excel bulk shipping form and submitted it as an add item but for each of the two shirts I did this for I get error message. I'm trying to chat with them for help but not working still, they keep giving it to someone else without a real answer. Anyway, just fyi. I have your mini course, did you go over submitting to Walmart once in catalog in it, havent had time to watch it yet. Thanks so much for all your videos

How is your experience so far, would you recommend uploading to this platform?
I had a different experience. Going from printify to walmart, a nightmare to find the codes, weeks for exemptions. Errors on shipping etc. I finally get it sorted, 129 items turned to 1729 products, then learn each sku must be manually entered. A shirt with 31 variations, every single sku needs to be input for lag time exemption. Made 1st sale and cancelled it because of this nightmare. Debating to give it up or start over. Support chatis the worst ever experienced. It will take forever to solve this, adding thousands of skus for hundreds of ready products

@@KyleGio-eh6ww sure , but ican get frustrating with stuff that wont publish but should. Nobody explains how you must set up shipping profiles, and how to do it. Right now, I need to resolve why most are showing free shipping, when thery are not supposed to be.

Hi Ryan, great video. I have one question. I live in Singapore and love to open the store in Walmart, but it seems that they don't support Singaport now. I have a friend in US, can i ask my friends for their phone number and open a store? then use my credit card in Singapore to make the payment. Will doing so violate any of Walmart's policies? You need a return address before you can connect so do I just put mine till my printify connects?

Hey Ryan, thank you for the video. Upon being approved for the exemption, Walmart included on the email: "Please note that items with UPC exemptions (without GTINs/UPCs) will not perform well on SEO. Please consider if you still wish to proceed with this request or purchase GTINs for your items instead." Have you found this to be true or a concern?

Walmart(.com) gets 400M visits a month according to SimilarWeb, so we should make some sales without needing to promote them :)
Does Walmart charge you per sale or is it really completely free? Only have to worry about the printify fees?

As a non-usa resident, walmart requires itin as one of the two options. This opens up problems for non-usa residents who operate other pod biz where these pods include usa as market. Because then other pods of the non-usa resident seller will also then be audited, scrutunized, and taxed.

On their application it says “we do not allow UPC exemption at this time” 😕
Walmart charges a percentage of the gross revenue for the product you are dropshipping on their site. So, if you sell a dropship product, you will only receive a small percentage, less than 0.020%, from the actual product you are dropshipping. How are you going to make any money from this product after Walmart takes 15 to 20% of the gross revenue as their portion from the total dropshipping products?
Ryan I would love to be an early getter for Walmart, I think this will be huge for all of us. BUT I dont have a "business address or a customer service phone number" like they want. How do I get past this hurdle??? I dont want to list my address or my phone number as contact. Thanks.
Gotten through all the steps except when applying for the UPC Exemption they need links to my website and 5-10 items (per sub category) that I’m proposing to list without UPC’s.. how do I even get those links on printify??? Help please 🙏🏼
Can you be a new store to start this ?
I'm based in CANADA. When I've tried to sign up: Wlamart says: "Are you based outside of the US?
We love international sellers! To become one, you will need to have a US Tax ID Number (TIN) or be incorporated in: Canada, UK."
As such, I will need to incorporate a company in Canada prior to trying this out. Right of the bat these are fees....

Ryan, will you be using any upload automation with your Walmart POD store? It looks like FlyingUpload has an integration with Printify so can you daisychain automate the uploads?
Right now I am not planning on it, I haven't tried pushing multiple products at once, I am not sure if that will get me in trouble or get me throttled

They don't have a clear area to find UPC exemptions. Lag time yes when you go to help - partner help and type into the search bar. I've been searching for it for a while now.
Walmart denied my upc Exempt and Lag Time with no explanation and they said the decision came category manager and I can not appeal it
I'm a little unsure about their return policy section. It looks like they want a physical address for people to return things. That makes me a little uneasy, to be honest. Also it looks like we have to track and report our sales tax ourselves. I could be wrong about that though.

I am 2 for 2 (I had to do it twice). Not sure what strategy may be involved but for what it's worth I posted my answers to the UPC exemption questions in my private community
I did an appication prior to getting the Pritify information and was declined. Now when I try to create an account, I get this "account has been denied". Do you anyway I can do a work around. Since I have my EIN, etc. I have to use my LLC name. Thanks.

It replaces the need to provide a UPC code when you add products to Walmart's catalog 👌

would love an update on this, just got approved and in their documentation they say that items without UPCs will not perform well on SEO. Wondering if you've made sales despite the SEO hit, is it worth the time investment?

You need an LLC to work with Wal-Mart. It's not like Merch or Etsty where you can do business as a sole proprietor.
Yes I think forming an LLC is a great idea for running an online business, so for poeple who have been putting it off, it's time to do that! :)

Hey Krystal, Walmart does not do any verification, so I would feel comfortable recommending that you include your "future sales projections" when you apply, to increase odds of being accepted 😉
If you aren't American, live abroad but have a LLC in the USA, can you apply?
