Another thoughtful, interesting NEEDED project--what Mossy Earth does best! Such a multifaceted set of potential benefits to plant, animal and human communities. I was fascinated to hear about the implications for wildfires. As always, sending good wishes for the health, safety, and joy of the Mossy Earth team--and welcome, Teresa!

This is great! Portugal really needs these kinds of initiatives. I'm very curious to learn more about these different approaches to deactivate the stumps. Great work :)

I was so glad to learn about this project! What an amazing (and much needed) initiative! I really hope you will succeed in finding ways of getting rid of the eucalyptus that are both cost-effective and gentle on the soil and the surrounding vegetation. Hopefully this will be the beginning of the end of the eucalyptus madness in the Iberian peninsula.
Maybe projects like this one could eventually be combined with ecotourism?
    Wishing you all the best!

Amazing! I really hope you find a viable solution that can be scaled up to the whole country.

Pls. show some photos or videos (before and after) so that we can better understand the nature of the problem, aftermath, and likely success of the projected intervention. Tq.

If you listen to the video, there hasn't been an after yet, they are about to start the interventions...
Also this should come up soon in one of their big edit videos in the main mossy earth channel so then we should see all that

Super interesting video! A great description of the project. I really hope you can find a way to remove the eucalyptus! I follow another group that is restoring a piece of land in Portugal and the have the same issues with mimosa trees (I don't know the scientific name), which are also non-native species and they are now also making a pilot to prevent resprouting.
