Please tell me wich other older beauty youtubers you follow! I just can't with the young ones anymore. I have nothing in common with them and I'm sick of their lidspaces! 😅
Child free by choice here, too. I "paused" when I turned like 40 or 41, just to make sure I still felt that way, because it's one thing to say, "I don't want kids," when you're 25 and feel like you have all the time in the world. But when it became clear that the door was really closing for me, I thought it was a good idea to revisit and make sure. I thought about it from multiple angles, and yep, I was good with it. I'm 54 now and I have no regrets.
I so relate to this assumption thing. Someone once told me I had been born with a spoon in my mouth. In fact, I was a baby of seven children living in Harlem tenement, taken from alcoholic parents and put in children's home. Worked hard and met a wonderful man. Life is completely different now. And we never had children and so many people ask me why. So I NEVER assume anything about anyone. Ever. Love Monty Python too. Eric Idle has new book out now. "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

When at home I'm definitely in what I call my "intermediate" outfit which is sweatpants and some type of sweater/sweatshirt depending on the weather. Intermediate outfits are a step above PJs but not street worthy. LOL I get my 8 hrs sleep in but I am a night owl. This was great. Thank you for sharing more of you!

i think what you’re not wanting to describe as confident is more so a sense of security/ being secure with yourself and maybe not being so worried about checking yourself? you’re the only one i know who can walk out of the house without checking themselves hahah!

When I was in my 20's, I worked 3 jobs, and collected aluminum cans for gas money! Now I'm in my early 40's and we're hard working stiffs that are buying a home and have a toddler. Plus we had to live with my parents for 7 years to save up! I remember living pay check to pay check and budgeting $25.00 a week for food, our saving grace was my husband working at Red Lobster and bringing home left over steak, potatoes and biscuits! Lol

Absolutely loved this video. I thought I was one of the few strange ones about the early mornings, I like waking up when the clock still says 5. If I wake up after 6, I feel like I've already lost an hour of productivity. Just knowing that the house is quiet and my kids and husband are asleep somehow gives me energy to get so much done during that extra hour. Love you Michele!💗💗

I just began watching youtube videos within the past few months (I know, where the heck have I been?) and yours are among the ones that have really hooked me. So much so that not only am I making sure to catch any new ones, but I am now going back to catch up on even some of the old ones. This "assumptions" one was truly terrific -- and pleasantly ratified so much of what I actually assumed about you. I love your honesty, your transparency, your genuineness, your inner (as well as outer) beauty. We all have to be true to ourselves and do what brings us joy, because life is not a dress rehearsal and it can be all too short. Keep doing what you do -- because you clearly get joy from it, and thereby bring joy to all who share the adventure with you.
My motto is - love yourself first, not in an obnoxious way, I've always, no matter what, had self confidence and esteem in myself, because if you can't do that, how can you love, anybody else?

I am watching your video this morning and I am so loving it. I am turning 60 this year and I spent over 25 years working in the city. I remember those early years scrounging for lunch money a few days before pay day. My roommate and I would go to happy hour on Fridays just for the free food and 1/2 priced drinks. I do live a bit vicariously through you with your luxury makeup as I have a son and most of my money goes to his needs, especially since he is going to college in August. I also grew up in Northern NJ and am back here in Central NJ for the last 12 years. I think the old Brendan Byrne Arena ( I remember when it was called it then) is now the Izod Center.l
People are just envy you are a beautiful lady nice job , Not having kids it is not the worst thing it could happen , enjoy your life you are a very smart classy lady love your work 💐💖

I love that you shared this with us! We had the bunny slippers from the Broadway show, as well as the coconuts. Brought our then 12 year old twins to the show (they’re now 22) because we love Monte Python so much. It’s how my husband and I communicate. I’m a gardener and I CANNOT say “shrubbery” without him launching into the shrubbery/path bit. We’re just back from Vegas (convention) and were there for the epic snow! My husband and I decided not to have kids and we both have been asked constantly why/when. We have two English Bulldogs and they bring so much joy to us. We just don’t want to be parents. I agree with you that we are able to buy more luxury items because we don’t have the extra expense. I notice it more now that I’m getting older and have more disposable income.
I'm 46 too and i don't paint my hair two years ago i have White hairs too but i lost a lot of hair and i decided to stop and i love make up like you. Have kids is a personal decision I respect. I'm 26 and have never dyed my hair, and it's very long. I have the same approach to it as you, too much maintenance. I get asked all the time how I keep it so long, and the answer is "I forget about it" haha
Just want to say i basically watch your videos for how comfortables you're with yourself - as an 20 something Chinese this is really inspiring for going through my own "alternative asian" life route.
Thank you for opening up and letting us into your world. As I put make up on I have you running on my make up table and my 2 Bichon Frisee dogs , one is my daughters that I look after during the day for her, are always on the bed. If your dog makes any noises they hear it and their ears perk up. 🐶🐶

I totally agree with you on mornings! If the sun is up I have missed out!! Drives my husband crazy! We also decided not to have children and get lots of strange looks from people especially down here in the south (Kentucky). I lived in Vegas for 3 years and graduated from UNLV! Miss it there!
