Was this the game of the year? Note: There aren't complete highlights in here, I used whatever CBS Sports posted. There will be a full game to remember for this game later this week!
I had mixed thoughts about Saban last year when he benched Jalen Hurts in the national championship game, but it’s good now to see their relationship is stronger than ever it appears, must have been crushing to Hurts at the time. Major tip of the hat to Jalen for keeping his head down and working hard throughout all the adversity and pressure, as a former college athlete, I know the struggle and what it’s like to have your spot taken from you, but self discipline and mental toughness will prevail and eventually make you stronger and better than before. Glad to see him succeed tonight, the hard work did not go unnoticed.
Jalen has always been one of my favorite players. I knew he wasn't going to go anywhere when all that talk was going around. Everybody at my work thought I was nuts.
@@ashdoodge4325 Exactly! I said the same thing and people thought I was crazy. I live in Georgia, so there's no love at all for me when I'm hollering RTR! It's okay though. I knew that Jalen believed in himself, and he would be returning.
I can't imagine how Georgia sports fans feel. Literally all their teams have done in recent memory is choke big games. Also, that fake punt call was the worst call of the year. I have no idea what Kirby was thinking there.
Coach emotional appearance was nothing but a product of faith and hard work, and believing in all of his players. He really feel somehing special in his heart for Jalen.
Some criticized Jalen for not taking redshirt and transferring. All Bama fans noticed Jalen was playing better in his limited time. Saben pushed hard for another assistant coach. Got it and hired Dan Enos as a QB coach. Enos may be the unsung hero.
I used to be quite the Bama hater, but you HAVE to respect greatness. The entire program, and Coach Saban in particular truly exemplify greatness. When your program operates consistently on the level where losing a single game is a "Down year", you know your formula works. Props to the team for getting this done. out of the teams left, I definitely hope they take it this year. #AnyonebutNotreDame #RollTide #AtLeastUntilUSCisBack
Lifelong Bama fan and this is my all time favorite Bama championship game because of Jalen Hurts. Jalen will always be one of my favorite people and athelets.
Jalen is special in every possible way a person can imagine. This guy is class act, loyal, and always positive. This is an example that you can be awesome at what you do and humble at the same time.
@@eureka0521 exactly what I was thinking while I was watching it live. You have the chance to get them inside the 10 by punting it but instead you risk it to get 11 yards when you could have just trusted your defense who did good the entire game to stop them from getting more than 60 yards in about 2 minutes
eureka0521 In happened back in 2012... Alabama and tennessee were gridlocked on defence all game, but alabama was still down 6-10. 4th and 8 on the markers. Punt formation came out, but the kicker caught the ball and had a convoy of blockers that lead the a 1st and 10 for alabama. After scoring but missing the PAT (dang kicker), terrance cody blocked the volunteers last second field goal attempt to win the game. 12-10...alabama wins!
I told fellow bama fans after last years Georgia game ..don't hate on Jalen .90% of the fans doubted Jalen last year and I couldn't understand why. Tua is good but he doesn't have the same durability as Jalen . We need both of them and not to show favoritism. It's a team
Georgia really had Tua's number today. It's like last year they planned for Hurts and Tua burned them, and this year they planned for Tua and Hurts burned them.....
Tua made uncharacteristic bad throws and had receivers drop relevant passes (including a bomb to the TE). It had less to do with Georgia's D and more to do with self-inflicted mistakes.
No they did not. The problem was A. play calling (like 3rd & goal from the 18 & run 3 WRs in the end zone vs 6 DBs. GA was droppin 7/8 back 2 high safeties, they gave up less than 20 big plays all year long. The play action look deep for TD first (what he is told) just wasn’t there. B. Tua held the ball trying to force the big play instead of taking check down to Jacobs & Harris- it was 6/7yrds there all night long. The 3rd option if those aren’t there is to run. He can’t run he’s a sitting duck, it’s why everyone blitzes cause they know he can’t run. In that game he hurt his ankle which is why he was missing when he did, Tua missed behind, he hasnt. missed behind all year. The 2nd INT he couldn’t push off that ankle & lost velocity..ball was short. If you included drop passes add another 100yds and 10pts. STILL he had just driven them to within a TD a few minites before and had just completed a 12yrd pass. When he goes down it’s a 7pt game with a whole quarter to go. You ppl don’t know what you’re watching.
isnt it crazy how Nick Saban (who used to work for Bill Bellicheck) made Alabama the college football version of the Patriots (a powerhouse team alot of Championship games always in playoffs) defeat a Georgia team bu a comeback 😂 Coincidence 👀...I think NOT
Bama made a fair and square comeback in this one. I'm really not sure what Kirby was thinking on that fake punt, they woulda had a better chance just going for it. That being said, it probably won't happen, but the Dawgs deserve that 4th spot, they are better than OU and OSU.
