Eric Satie wrote the gnossiennes in the last decade of the 19th century. He invented the word itself as a term to describe these kinds of compositions, as he had done earlier with the gymnopedes.
This version is an interpretation by Forgotten Fish Memory Orchestra and can be found on their recent CD album 'If I Had a Hifi'.
The video is compiled from several different performance moments.

I’ve added Forgotten Fish Memory Orchestra to my Apple Music. I’d never heard of them until now. Brilliant performance of a classic. 🙌
Takes you a moment to pick up the tune, (well it took me a moment anyway,) and then it's there.
One of the strangest and cleverest arrangements of a Gnossienne that I've heard and there are a lot.
OMG! This so captures the base inspiration or this melody. I always felt be brought it back from the Levant.
Exactly.
Que hermosa estética! Inteligente y fina. Muchas gracias! 🍀💖
Waanzinnig. Mijn hele dag is weer goed.
amazing!
This is the speechlessest speechless I've been. Pure GENIUS.
Kudos to you krackerjacks. About as off the beaten path as Satie was in his time.
This is such a great find. Next time me and friends are on mushrooms, I will play this video for them. Brilliant.
Great!
Merci !!

Mr Harry - Thank You!! Pozdrowienia serdeczne! B.& W.
You might be interested to know that the footage at the start of this clip was in fact taken in Poland, in the St John Church in Gdansk.

Sounds like a Kievan US Brothel. Dead Souls. I saved it in my Favourites.
@dafnezanata the individual orchestra members are from many different countries and cultures but i think you could generally say they are european
They don't sound European. ;-)

Which TV series used this piece of music? Maybe not with just such an extravagant performance but the music?
I don't know of it in a specific TV series. It's one of Erik Satie's most famous pieces so you might have heard it on many occasions. But it is generally known as a piece of piano music.
I think it might have been The Queen’s Gambit.
In the movie "The painted vail" it's kind of a main theme.
Also I'm pretty sure that it was in Poirot series in the episode "Five little pigs"
beatiful why 10.000 viev :(
How can i contact with FFMO??
