- Episode 37. It's cold in Canada over the winter months. Here is a video of a warmer time. We travel back to August 2020. Patricia Lake is 5 minutes outside of Jasper Town. It's one of the Scenic Lakes in my opinion. I always stop here for a picnic or swim. This is my happy place, my sanctuary.

Thank you. I am trying to improve my editing every week. The latest video I finally could teleport like Nightcrawler from the X-Men. And I am trying to fine tune my transitions between clips. Its just exciting when you trying to implement something new and it worked out . Next Project flying like superman. LOL
@@KoneTravelVlog I thought the teleport was pretty awesome. What software are you using?
I am using Da Vinci Resolve 17. This software is mainly used by Movie Productions. The free version can output at 1080p only but most of the Special Effects work. Its not easy to learn but there are hundreds of tutorial videos on youtube. It took me 2 weeks just to learn the basics to edit and making simple transitions. Up til today I learned maybe 5% of the software. But that's enough to do crazy transitions and special effects. My next learning project is how to mask layers of clips. So I can take one of your clip and infuse myself walking by you as if I were there in your video. Anything you want to do in your video you can do. Just need to know how because there are thousands of option that you can mix and match.

We really enjoy your hikes. The lake and the mountains look lovely. I know you can't wait to get back on the trail. Don't worry spring is around the corner. What are your hiking plans for this spring? Which parks and places are you going to be exploring? Will your wife be joining you on hikes this season?
By the end of June every Canadian should have the chance to get vaccinated. By then the country should be opened and we can travel again. My plan was to go to British Columbia and Vancouver Island for my season 2. And maybe 1 week Mexico. My wife would love to join us and it's not easy for her to take off for long period of time since she is the manager of the bakery department of a grocery store chain. Will see. What's your guys decision for your next destination? We all voted for it. Didn't see the result.

That was an awesome VFX, yeah I am liking the edit with this one too, it is becoming easier as I try more and more edits. and it is very fun creating things with this one. That place is really busy, I have been here several times but hardly find any place to park. I cannot wait to get out of these four walls of a prison called home and get deep into the wilderness and nature. I really miss the outdoors. Stay safe and looking forward to your next video.
Thank you my friend. Every week I try to learn little by little and implement into my videos. There is no limit on the video effects. It's just takes time to try and figure it out how they all work and interact. Sometime I find something by accident or trying things out
@@KoneTravelVlog Yeah me too, I am now learning more about this editor too, and watch videos on YT and try mini practices and see how it works out and then implement them into my actual video. There is a lot of potential with this editor especially if one dedicates himself to it fully.
One thing I noticed on YT is that when you search for specific videos it is really hard to know which one is really good and which one is just a waste of time. Do you know any tricks that you do to watch only certain videos or you just go through the whole video list one by one until you find the one that is the best of them all? How do you find the right videos on certain tutorials? I subscribed to certain channels doing the training on how to edit and how to create but finding the one video that I am really looking for is really hard without spending too much time looking and going through so many videos. Plus with the very low internet speed here where I am north of the GTA is not making it easy either.
I just watch those tutorials by random. If it's what I want to implement and learn I watch it. Or if I stuck I just search for that particular effect.
Most of the tutorials are using fullversion. Sometimes I cannot really follow it and have to improvise because some effects are not available
@@KoneTravelVlog Yeah it is the same thing with me. But the VFX is still awesome with the free version and I am really excited to edit more videos with this. My home desktop computer has died and there are no parts available close by and GTA is still in lockdowns, I wanna put a new RTX Gaming Tower and see how it will go. I want this to be completely dedicated to video editing and producing. So I am going to ask you for advice there as well.

When I went Jasper national park in May... long time ago. still piles of snow there. This lake is so beautiful. I wish I could travel to Canada again....

@@k-grannysophia3994 Canada bans all cruises from Canada to Alaska til 2022. There might be a cruise going from Seattle directly to Alaska. Everyone hopes that the vaccination is done by September and everything can go back to normal.
