It's $1200 if anyone was wondering
*€1111.11* ( Andrew said it before I found your comment 😬 )
that's actually not terrible for all the parts you get
*closes the video after 51 seconds*
the new pico system III is $529
@@lucaparise8612 longer than me
5:41 is very Yorke/Atoms for Peace (to my ears) -- which is a really, really good thing!
This is so dope. Those jams are really, really good.
Oh hi
oh hey. you. here.
+1
I don't think I'll make it through 2018 without a collab from you two.
gavingavinful I could not agree more.
Dang, I'm loving that first beat. That's hella punchy.

God, Not only is Andrew Huang a brilliant musician, but the choice to be a CZcamsr makes all his content feel much more appealing. I always feel the need to find interviews and stuff for my other favourite musicians, but never have with Andrew. Watching videos released weekly is so much more fun than having to wait for the musician to post something. He's currently my main source of inspiration and I want to be like him some day.
Can we take a second to appreciate the editing. like just. MMMMMMM!!!
+1
How is no one talking about that! The video part is so good as well.. storytelling, editing, it's perfect!
Yeah all his videos have some of the best editing I've ever saw on CZcams and I know for a fact these edits are very time consuming so I wonder who does his editing. Theres no way he has time to do them himself considering how prolific he is at making music.
yeah he goes bonkers. probably one of the main reasons i watch his reviews, also you get some real music
Andrew I'm a 10 year old Boy that live's in a small town next to Toronto,Your my music idle keep up the amazing work and maybe someday i could meet you and if that ever happens I would never forget that one moment. Alway's remember your fans will alway's be there for you and that your amazing :)
This feels weird, being here while it’s unlisted.
Also this thing is rad.
Your videos are so high quality. I appreciate this content so much.
You getting in to modular is the best thing ever.
Good name
Agreed! You've stepped up your game! (I mean it was already good to begin with, but like, this is clearly feeding your creativity which is cool to see)
That art-pop track defo was the best thing you ever ever produced, holy moly! That was shiny.
I love the way you format your videos! Like, you provide all of the content that all of your subscribers want to see in such a pleasing and presentable way. It just works so well!
You should do a video to see if you can trick Shazam into thinking you're playing a certain song, but your playing it yourself.
Oh my lordt yessssss
There are a couple of explanations around on how these services recognise songs, and it's very different than humans do it... Basically, I don't think it'd be possible
vocalnerd it'd still be fun 😔
Maaaan, that polyrythmic Art Pop reminds me a Little bit to Radiohead.
Exactly, this is like some crazy beat Thom Yorke's falsetto would croon over in one of his own electronica production
Yeah, really had that glitch pop vibe from his solo work. Im still thinking that andrew should get Max MSP or some Osc, it would really open up possibillities
I thought the same thing. It sounds a lot like Backdrifts to me.
My thoughts exactly totally nailed it
Chris Johnson I was beteween Backdrifts, 15 Steps and a Little bit of The Gloaming
This video was SO awesome! It just has everything, hat off to you!
I've been subscribed for a few years now, and I can honestly say I've never been disappointed by your content. It always feels well made, and it always manages to make my day better.
loving the angle of you just laying down with a pillow 😂
That impromptu semi-music-video thing was amazing
the last song BLOWS me away. the guitar+chorus are so dope
Love the last jam you created that layered voice, base, and guitar!
The polyrythmic stuff sounded super Tesseracty, dayum I dig it, would you please just do a lot of it.
deadalonethe1 T E S S E R E C T I O N
Oh boy, oh boy... Too much epicness in one video! So nerdy, so good. Every song you made was great, and my favourite was the last one... It made my mind melt 😅 Also, I really enjoyed the visual FX. You're the best! Cheers.
halcyonstar you wrote this comment 3 hours ago?
Rauf Dunjamalijev Patrons on Patreon sometimes get early and exclusive access to new videos. Or I am a time traveller.
halcyonstar I prefer second one. Can u dm me pictures of your time machine?
Rauf Dunjamalijev It's classified :(

Andrew, thanks for highlighting modular stuff, you getting excited over sounds, gets me excited.
I fell in love with the jam. The voice over the cool rhythm and then into lyrical part. Nice production. I am subbed.
Lol this is weird I’ve been totally obsessed with polyrhythms for weeks and now the ultimate lad drops this
Ending is very Björk. Love it.
Love that last track! The way that the vocals float over the music is really cool.
Dude so much work its really amazing ! Incredible video
That artpop-track is the best thing I've heard in a good long while, well done sir!
.As a rule I don't gravitate towards genres that have to put "art" in their name. But the way you work themes and ideas in that last song (the visuals didn't hurt either) was so beautiful... something about its conformity to /some/ rules, maybe rules it made up, but not the rules most music adheres to, made it "art" enough that I felt wandering, but "pop" enough that I wasn't lost. Incredible music and production as always, Andrew, and you continue to astound me.
Andrews videos quality just keeps getting better. Love it!
Loved the sounds! Sweet editing too, nice one Andrew!
I vibe so strongly with any of the proggy and weird stuff you make and I want to hear so much more of it.
Requesting an extended version of Andrew measuring an object with non standard units
Dude, your editing is so well made
Dude, super cool song! thank you for making a review on this!! please make some more jams and maybe a bunch of short clip of crazy patches in one video? Much love
6:00 reminds me of something Thom Yorke would do. Awesome.
Wait, patrons get early access to videos? AWESOME
ANDREW HUANG wait, How is that possible? Is it a notification thing, or are you somehow able to post to certain CZcams users....I’m planning on getting Patron, so I’d like to know how it works. :/
IDontCare AboutYourFandom pretty sure he just sends a download of the video
he posts the video as unlisted and then makes it public
Really enjoy your music and vids. Hope all is well, you are both entertaining and likable.
Man that song was awesome - love the squelchy sounds - that synth rocks!
OMG loved the song starting @ 5:41 is the entire track available for listening somewhere?
the last piece went so hard
I enjoyed the review, Andrew. Yes, there are some great sounds in there! Yes, the timing of bass vs drums was kindy funky with the two syncing up. The held notes singing reassuring words was a good contrast to the klanky techno funk of the synth. Good job, Andrew!
Woooow, the polyrythmic track is great!
I normally don't connect with andrew's music at all, but outside of vocal repitching I loved *everything* about this!
You are my CZcams idol
Im just an old school guitarist rocker. Every time I watch your vids I want to pick up my guitar and yell at'" Do more!!!" "Be more versatile!" I guess I need a keytar
Got a computer? Get VCVRack. #softwareisthenewpunk
(ETA I guess you didn't say that price was the issue for you... idk. It's still worth messing with imo)
Get an envelope follower and pitch tracker to start with your euro, plug your guitar into it, control all sorts of things with it.
Regarding VCVRack, the Mutable stuff is spot on. Very fun software.
Or just get a cheap MIDI keyboard and explore the world of software synths. VCV rack is the shiz though.
i program my modular stuff and play guitar along with it, go wild and explore your sounds dude
High quality content as always!
Wow that song with the vocals and guitar is absolutely amazing.
"four potatoes?"
Yeah I was thinking like 2 and a half, maybe 3
it's not the size of the potato, it's how you cook it
make a dubstep with a plate of nachos
Woah that visual effect was incredible. A treat to watch.
Damn Bro you're just a multitasking talent, whether it's on the music side or/and the video. Loving those kinda red lava sequences. I'm more into photography and videography but i definitely have subscribed to follow your amazing work. Thanks Peter !!!
Can you maybe make a video about the hard work that goes into becoming a professional?
About the ups and downs that came with it to when taking the steps to becoming better at something?
Its not always unicorns and rainbows, and i do feel the lows at times. The unicorns aren't always there when trying to figure everything out. They might be sweating or crying rainbows at some point.
Its definitely nice to look back, but when being in the process, thats a bit different...
dontstresstoomuch i second this

Andrew Huang: *makes track*
me: dam that sounds good
also me: *opens music program*
*trying to make something*
*plays one note then closes program in sadness*
You gave away your own problem in your comment. You think Andrew Huang woke up one morning and started making this calibre of music without any years of experimentation? Hit one note, then hit like a hundred thousand other notes and find the ones you like. Keep doing that all the time and you're going to start getting kind of Andrew Huang-y
Music is climbing mountains. Start simple. Build. Enjoy.
Make sure to be positive, only do it if it's fun. And it can be hard, and you'll suck at the start, but it can be really fun. (How you doing a year into the future?)
K nzo [Vortex1212] I think my stuffs like kinda ok but others that I know think it’s trash
Awesome video man; like always!!
All of the pico modules are awesome. So much bang for your buck and saves so much space
I loved that weird water prophet one at 5:40
Bananas for scale!!! Yay!!!!
Insane video, 10 out of 10- But that tune was out of this world!! Nice work Andrew Huang! Shout out from Aotearoa!!!
The polyrhythmic pop brought me some Porcupine Tree vibes. The tambourine was a really fun addition!
Loved the synth, many thanks to you for the great content!
That darn polyrhythmic song is so good.
5:41 fucking music video man! Love the song ❤❤ keep up the Good work
Top notch, Andrew!
don't usually comment on youtube videos but I just have to say I really love what you do. inspiring.
I love how having 1,2 million subs doesn't prevent you from using technical vocabulary. And people seem to like it, which is great!
As someone who is in the dark about most vocabulary Andrew uses for music, the way he uses the words make sense.
I hope to one day understand enough to get into synths and just making electronic music in general.
I wish there were some good tutorials. Most everything out there tells you to just go to school.
Srcsqwrn check out this playlist: "Modular Synth Basics - Synthesizer Tutorials : czcams.com/play/PLa9Em_H8Xs_al-r_90xYiuiz-3N8HZyf_.html" it is probably the best series explaining modular synths that you can find on youtube. I hope this helps!
Thank you! Do these tutorial videos show how to use programs to make electronic music as well? This is the beginning in which I have the most issue with
Srcsqwrn not exactly haha, it only explains modular synths. But I'm sure there are tons of videos about getting started with software!
Ah I see! I'm maybe bad at finding these tutorials. Everytime I try to find something on how to make music with programs it's mostly people talking about how they went to school for eons, and that you should probably go to, also that it might take 15 years to learn to make music right. But I just want to start.
I thought you were holding a cheese grater in the thumbnail.
Interesting and super creative as always! Love semi modulars :)
Awesome ! The transitions in the last track and the voicing really had an Archive-ish vibe
-i think i have the money to buy this-
1:17 I KNEW he was an Android guy (even though his entire studio screams Apple)
Stefan Tabit Seeing that phone in his hand increased my respect for him significantly.
I know right
Dude, the 'atonal soundscape' stuff is where it all started long, long ago. Your stuff is authentic. You have a good ear.
Great material. Very, very inspiring. Thank you.
WOW that last song
please get the pocket operaters!
I would love to see what he could make with the POs
Hello, Peter McKinnon sent me here. I’m a pianist and appreciate music in all its forms. Loved listening to this video on my earphones! Epic. Subscribed. Might get inspired to take up new hobby!
Absolutely amazing as usual, Andrew. Keep it up!
P.S. My fave has to be that polyrhythmic fun you did X-)
Beep boop!
If I want to get into this art form, do I have to know really anything about mechanics/music theory. Or can I just bumble along with tutorials and have fun making sub-par music? Like as a hobby...
If you have a good ear for rhythm and follow tutorials, amateur music production isn't too difficult to start. Just get some stuff that looks cool and play with it. Music theory and mechanics is useful for getting really high quality stuff, but the human brain can figure out good melodies, rhythm, and harmony with practice.
Cat From The Future It'd be better to know a bit of theory to start with to feel your way in the dark. Being thrown into the darkness and stumbling around not knowing anything can be hard on your mentallity starting out.
But ultimately the choice is yours and only you can figure out how you want to get into music.
I’ve been learning as I go and it’s been a blast.
Almost everyone is doing it “as a hobby”
Just go for it, you could be the best laptop producer or the worst...
But it’s just a hobby, so who cares.
yeah..use software at first and mainly - have fun
Love this direction you're taking, it's awesome seeing hardware because a lot of EDM CZcams doesn't show off that side of things.
This video has been online for 17 minutes how have people commented 19 hours ago lmao
ahhhh I see, maybe I should donate, I love Andrews videos he genuinely puts out really good content
Real instruments don't exi-

That song at the end was awesome!!
*Oof* Im broke
thebe3st201 If you weren't before you would be if you bought this. €1111. Why does music equipment have to be so fucking expensive.
Hopefully someone will make these modules for VCV rack
The demo at beginning of the video made me hyperventilate.
I love this little thing. Some of those modules are extremely useful.
Just what I needed, another Andrew Huang video! :D
#RedMeansRecording
First, great song! Second, the Erica Synths Pico Synth seems like a nice entry point into modular. I really enjoyed this video!
love the last track 👌👌 has a really cool IAMX feel
Andrew, your intro music is so tight! I hit the like button in the first five seconds. Fantastic beats, I especially like the plucky sounds!
I really enjoyed 5:52 or there abouts when you were playing with loftier singing tones. Way to showcase your falsetto singing!
the ending tune is wondrous. really enjoyed that
The last track 😍 also I loved the soundscape
Dude. Cool. That last song was super interesting inside my ear-holes. Love it.
sick beats, andrew!
The blood and everything towards the end was pretty intense! Not to mention the skull...
Crazy little system tho I would get crazy with those tiny knobs. Some very nice beats and pieces of music anyway Andrew !
When I heard you sing, it make me think of Evanscence's style, amazing.Love this synth
.Hope to see the next video soon💙💙
Love your music Andrew
I love the art pop jam! Thanks for the vid
