you may be the boss but it wont mean much if you don't bother with eye protection . You can at the least develop macular degeneration with arc flash and plasma glare. and when you approach my age you will wonder why things seem harder to see in reduced light...'cos you are going blind. Not to mention copying sparks in the eyes from the grinder.
This was a great video and a super thing y'all did but if i was the one doing the build I wouldn't let the do nothing drunk with the grey wet pant and the black pull on cap be in the video. He has a trash and it wasn't necessary.
14:20 I don't need a shield I just close my eyes........staring at blue light won't make you blind unless it's an hour.....ok I burned my eyes flash weld burns just welding a 2 inch pipe. All blurry and felt like gravel in my eyes. I was stupid once. Oh and years after I said stupid crap like I'm only welding for 20 minutes I'll be fine.....Yeah I get to have chunks of cancerous flesh hacked out of my arms. But welding with no protective gear is safe just ask the drunk hillbilly school teacher.
