Thanks for posting this video. Im a couple of hours south of where you're hounding and am learning about the rocks in our area.
@@the5stacys NC has tons of minerals to offer. I too am just now learning.
Me too .. Greenville , SC. You can’t be far.
I'm in the middle of you both. This is a superb location for stumbling upon very nice finds. 🙂
Over the past couple months I been there prob 6 times bc I always find good stuff. I’m On my way rn actually hence why I’m watching these. I found the biggest garnets I’ve ever found period there last time
@@DeAThWisH112 Nice. We found one garnet as big as a Quarter. That was not captured in the video.
You should always have a buddy with you ,lots of poison snakes in that area.Blessings send your way.
@@Gloria-qy3dd Thank you for the good suggestion.
Get to the GOLD!!!
Good stuff, i live in burke county and have found red garnets the size of 50cent pieces
@@MrTrecutter1 Oh that's amazing.
I’m in upper NC and finding quartz with mica. Some quartz clear and some like solid clear, if that makes sense. Dug down about 6-7 feet to find in red clay. Cool finds.
@@tammyturner5507 If you're in the red clay then there may be clear quartz terminations.
Any points so far? Im in upper NC too ❤
@@zenflow4life mostly just clear quarts rocks but I’m not really good at identifying. Mostly what I’m seeing would be good for someone who cuts rocks for jewelry. Wish I could share pictures. I’m in mid upper NC near VA. I have cut a few with the shovel and do look like small gems.
My daughter is getting into geology and I'm looking for places to take her. This is amazing thank you
@@417powerhouse3 Awesome. I'm trying to get my kids into it. They're not ready. Soon I hope. 😊
So many rocks you could have split open. It would have taken 1-2 mins to explore for curiosity's sake. Maybe next time.🫤.
@@WallyBox4Me Yes. I was extremely limited on my time. Next year for sure
@@yourworldexplorer1Trust me, I understand it seems like every time I get to a good place. It's a rock hound or dig.I'm limited on my time much more than I would care to be
