With all due respect, parents push their children into show biz, and the industry is about making money, not caring what children think. No one expects them to be 'normal' after all of that attention. But she is about the best of the childhood stars to survive all of that growing up, despite her gaffs.

You can tell that being a child actress had messed her up in the head because she says that it feels like she has 3 different brains. That Oprah interview went left because Oprah made a big deal about something even she didn't understand. Raven said that she didn't believe American born blacks should be called African Americans. Oprah acted like Raven said the most blasphemous thing which in turn made fake woke black people hate and turn on her. She's right, African born and American raised are the true African-Americans, we as black Americans don't know our true lineage so we're simply American. She never denied her blackness or shied away from it. I've always loved Raven and people act like her sexuality makes her ugly or whatever and honestly hearing her story makes me admire her strength and resilience that much more. She's still just as sweet as she was on The Cosby Show.
It seems like she’s trying to un-compartmentalize herself now, to follow the metaphor the public got mad when someone disturbed all those neat boxes in a row, even if it’s the person who made them. Hearing her here, I’ll bet she knew that Oprah interview went terrible even before she left the set!

Raven is a lesbian and she refuses to even say she is one because she doesn't think that category should exists. She thinks love is love.. Without these categories and labels people would be still living in ignorance and people wouldn't have a cause to fight for. She also is ignorant about her ethnicity/race and refuses to say she's a black woman.. she carries this weird distorted insecureness about who she is. She needs to work on self love before she preaches and brainwashes these young kids about not believing in labels.
