I finished the path of pain a few days ago, and let me tell you those saw blades were in fact essential to the preservation of Hallownest.

So many things about the preservation of Hallownest, but no one preserved the ceiling of the City of Tears so in time the architecture will be ruined by corrosion.
I think it was just always like that.

@@lazerbeams2536 nah, the rain started recently. Lemm told that Hallownest citizens wrote information on stone, but then they switched to spider silk for some reason. Shortly after the infection spread, the rain began and the moisture destroyed the spider silk. So no info on the citizens during the infection. Plus it likely had a different name before City of Tears, because that's a stupid thing to name a capital of a kingdom.
