🦿Step 1, Enter BIOS Using Shortcut, Easy and Fast Way Windows 10
to get into bios via CMD or shortcut, you need to use the Windows shutdown command
↪ shutdown /r /fw ↩
Shutdown command meaning:
/r after a shutdown command, it's full shutdown and restarts the computer
/fw, combine with a shutdown option to cause the next boot to go to the firmware user interface
To enter BIOS via command prompt you need to run CMD as an administrator, then type shutdown /r /fw and hit enter
To enter BIOS via shortcut you need to create a shortcut using shutdown /r /fw and run enter bios shortcut as an administrator
How to run shortcut as admin:
Right-click on Enter BIOS shortcut and go to properties, make sure you are in the Shortcut tab, click on Advanced, check the Run as Administrator checkbox
and click ok. So, by double klick, you can access the BIOS.
If you want to cancel the Windows task, just type shutdown -a command into the command prompt or in the Windows search box.
🦿Step 2, How to Enter BIOS from Windows 10 Settings
Click on the Windows icon and go to Settings, Click on Update & security, then go to Recovery, Under Advanced startup, click Restart now, Click Troubleshoot, Go to Advanced options, Click UEFI Firmware Settings and click Restart to enter BIOS.
🦿Step 3, Enter BIOS by holding down the Shift key until the computer restarts
Press and hold the Shift key on the keyboard and then restart the computer, continue to hold down Shift, until the blue screen (with the Choose an option) appears on your computer, Click Troubleshoot, Go to Advanced options, Click UEFI Firmware Settings and click Restart to enter BIOS
🦿Step 4, Access BIOS Setup via Hot Key (HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Dell, ACER)
Turn the PC off and on again, or restart the computer and use the boot key (BIOS function key) to enter the BIOS, it’s usually: F2, DEL, or F12.
The right moment is between powering on the computer and before booting the operating system.
So, Immediately and repeatedly press your BIOS function key,
Most modern motherboards use the DEL, F2, or F12, it depends on the Manufacturer
Sometimes the PC screen displays a message that indicates BIOS function Key

So my buddy tried to do a full factory reset on his HP desktop, and when it finishes the keyboard and mouse don't work. So I think he needs to get into BIOS to toggle the usb configuration settings. But he says when he shuts it off it just goes back to the old settings from before the reset, how can he get into bios?

The hot key option worked for me. I didnt press fn. I pressed f1 immediately i powered on the laptop.I am using lenovo thinkpad and my bios is in legacy.
