Spent my 80s childhood living on a large farm in NE Scotland loved harvest season, back then it was four combines 2 JD 1085s and two NH 8080s. Quite a sight. Same farm now runs a single JD combine these days.
Great job and narrative. Could watch and dream for days. Thanks for sharing. Can’t be easy.
Fantastic video - superb drone shots, loving the JD 7810 tractor! Brilliant being able to watch all the harvesting from my armchair! Keep up the excellent presentation.
Another excellent update - learn something every time I watch!
Instablaster.
Great your part of the county still has plenty of space for your farms. Sussex is more like a building site. 10 years ago about 25 bird types in the garden over the year... now lucky to get 8. Love learning from your vids so keep up the good work.
Very good video. Having spent a good few teenage years driving a tractor on my farm in Australia, the setup you have here is pure luxury.
That rain you mentioned to the West - well that stopped us for the week, not even tried since as just not getting the change to dry out...beginning to go down in places... forecast poor all next week too apparently. We had finished by this time last year, whereas this year we've bearing started. Keep the vid's coming as it's reassuring to know someone somewhere is doing something...

Cheers! Yeah crap summer isn’t it! We were done this time last year too 👍
Top job Andy again mate this bloody rain we’ve had had stopped harvest for us at the moment hopefully will be on the wheat next week
Greg Bailey
Cheers yeah raining right now! Pain in the arse! 👍
Awesome vid Andy, I recently found your channel so am watching your videos like a boxset 😂 🤣. I'm finding them very useful and informative due to me being a novice. Top quality 👍

Great video, rekon its going to be a drawn out harvest, here in the southwest there is an awfull lot waiting to combine. Weather has not been great the last fortnight.
I like your 3350!
50, 00 & 10 series John Deere’s such bomb proof machines 👌🏼 quality video again Andy, subscriber numbers will be shooting up 👍🏼

Lol so it wasn't just me that got hit with the odd heavy shower then 😂
AdBlue is nothing but trouble!
New australian subscriber mate
You got some nice toys how many acres do u farm? Or do u do a bit of contracting aswell?
Great videos.what type of spreader did ye use to Ted out the rows of straw ?
Brendan Hough cheers! I think it was an 2 rotor hay bob 👍
Great Video again Andy will we ever get to meet the Crew? Or are they Camera Shy?
Paul Storer
There camera shy lol
Will we see you working with or on the 8345r again? Some field work woud be nice.
Aljaz Podlogar
Yes in the autumn 👍
That’s an old girl on the bailer! Are they contractors? Seems like you have a good relationship with your neighbours, do they always help you out?
Can tell you have some real passion for your career and yes i may only be 13 but I’m determined to be a farmer when I’m older but I’ve not grown up on a farm or near the countryside so how would I make a start at becoming a farmer
StreetLifez
Join your local young farmers group and go to agricultural college or university when you finish school 👍
It's a farming life for me! When the nearest one is in York
@@liamflanagan3210 askham bryan collage in York will be able to help you out
Great video andy, why didn't you chop all the headland as when you got out to check losses you was dropping it? You look like the legend with no shoes on and your feet on the screen. Great drone shots, does that jcb work?
Cheers Layton haha thought you would notice that! I only chopped 3 sides of the headland 1 side didn’t have any green in it and it ran parallel with the land work so didn’t chop that bit.
The JCB does work it’s not ours though 👍
I don't miss much
Our wheat is still green lol
How fast are you going in the combine?
Make some guards for the foot peggings because if your dog runs down them it could get it’s foot stuck and break it’s leg
Love your vids but as combine operator of over 35 summers, it's a pity you didnt get off and check long before you did.. dont trust your loss monitors 100% they are at best a guide...
Try looking up Tony Gardner combine guru. He said the most worn part of a combine should be the paint worn off the steps....
Which rain radar app, do you use on your phone,..
peter humphries
Rain today
When is your new tractor arriving?
Callum Francis
End September 👍
Why does he start loading at the back instead of the front
just realised why you have them size trailers ou wouldent`t of tipet in the hopper if you had larger ones
What rain app do you use
Horse box
Rain today
How many Acres do u Combine all together
1250
Why do you work in hectares rather than acres?
David E
Not sure that’s just what we are youst to, I didn’t realise people still use acres so much 👍
How many hectares do you farm in total?
Freddy1444 Bk
About 500 of arable and 200 of grass 👍
Oh okay thanks
John Deeres always seem to break down. Why do you have so many of them?
They are much more reliable than other brands e.g. fendt
My spaniel is called Eric
How many acres have you got?
Julian Miller
We farm 1700 acres
It's a farming life for me! My grandfather had a farm...it was only 120 acres but I remember it taking a fortnight to get it all in....but he only had a Massey combine with a 5ft header...Your combine would maybe clear that in a day and a half...great videos. Keep them coming!!
Do you get much abuse when your moving the combine on the road between fields? Some people have no respect for the great job you Guys do.
Why don’t you buy a baler you have all that other kit
A old baler cost less than 10 thousand
you farm workers have it cushy these days
4:33 how the hell can rabbits eat all that
There are a lot of rabbits
