@@KristianHansen nice, if you have time come to sumatera its sure is an interesting place. for example Padang doesnt want any outside chain like indomaret or alfamart. the government want all most business to be locally made by the local people. Medan, Known for their "batak" culture and food, batak has a distinct accent where they are heard as more rough comparing to any other culture across indonesia, then you have Aceh. a very islamic province where you have to dress modestly (which why theres only a few tourist *even indonesian tourist*) but offers unique cuisine and beautiful nature. has this great love for coffee and tobacco. and often known as the ganja land cause it grows everywhere and if youre lucky you could find locals that cooks with it (because it softens the meat)

Top tip: carry a sil-nylon or sil-poly tarp with quick tie-outs / stake-outs. Takes 2 mins to set up (if there’s a tree or two nearby) but you can then pitch your tent and make camp in the dry!
Added bonus 1: if it doesn’t stop raining, the sound of heavy rain drops is up above your tent (better night’s sleep).
Added bonus 2: the tarp doubles as a sunshade for short roadside stops in hot weather.
By the way - DON’T FIX ALL ROADS! It’s a happy medium between off-roading and road riding. I’ve seen pot holes so big and deep that my entire bike was IN the one hole, and my wheel spindle /axle was BELOW the level of the tarmac (That was the worst road I’ve ever seen and n Lombok… unfortunately they repaired it)

1. Most of road at West from Jakarta is in bad condition.
2. Most of road at East from Jakarta possibly very good.
3. Geopark Ciletuh or Dieng Plateu if You like Beautiful Landscape.
4. You can try Lembang, Ciwidey or Garut area, there are many interesting thing and have good price. And there are many Hostel/Homestay/GuestHouse with good facility.
5. Mount Papandayan if You like epic landscape.
Btw, Why You take a long time to Citorek? 😅
Maybe You took the wrong way 😅.

If so, this is where in 1857 someone called Eduard Douwes Dekker was Assistant Resident of colonial Lebak.
Under his pen name Multatuli he wrote a satirical and very anti-colonialist novel called 'Max Havelaar', which is considered to be one of the most important books in Dutch literature. The book also completely changed Dutch public perception of colonial rule in Indonesia and therefore contributed significantly to the eventual Independence of Indonesia.
When I visited Rangkasbitung in 2019 there was an interesting Multatuli musem, but the house where Dekker used to live was extremely hard to find as it literally sat in the middle of a hospital car park. Worse still it looked like an absolute dump......
Hopefully if mentioned on your channel restoring this important historic landmark may get some priority....;)

Just a little tip kristian. You can choose the route in gmaps by car and then disable toll/highway option (since motorcycles is prohibited to pass here in Indonesia). You may got longer distances, but since the smaller road is bad and bigger road provide better quality, well you will get there faster.

Hey man! Maybe if you realize that many trucks or big vehicles turn on their sign light to right or left. Sometimes they don't want to turn right or left, but they try to inform you that you can't overtake them because maybe there is a car in opposite directions or something else
