The supreme court of this country is no longer interested in justice.
It is the only explanation to why official acts can't be presented as evidence in furtherance of a criminal act, even if the criminal act is considered an unofficial act.
This only makes sense if you want to protect Trump from prosecution.
There was no question of his guilt before this ruling.

He is 3 years older than Trump, slower walking, no doubt in better shape as far as no being over weight and pooping on himself in public as Trump does. Trump swore Biden would be drugged up during the debate yet, it has been reported that Trump was on his Adderall for his ADHD which allowed him to remain focused as he spewed all of his lies instead of flinging around, sniffing and losing his thought as usual when he acts like a bullying clown. Biden had a bad debate. I believe some of those 5 days strategizing should have been used sleeping and resting up prior to the debate. Biden nor anyone knew the debate would be free of any fact checking. Biden's strategizing I believe should have been on his record and a little deflecting of Trump's lies. A man from the Apprentice also stated on the day after the debate that he witnessed Trump using Adderall twice on the Apprentice. Both of these Adderall usage reports explains why Trump continually shadowed his behavior stating that Biden would be drugged up.

Debates do not determine who wins elections! Obama in 2012 lost his first debate (it was terrible) and went on to win that election! If you look at the history of televised Presidential debates you find some do lose debates and still win! This hyperbolic over one debate is ridiculous! All the twists and convolutions are designed for one purpose, To provide the necessity for the court to insert itself and rule on what is and isn't. This allows them to cherry pick who gets to be immune and who doesn't, i.e. a Republican would be found immune while a Democrat wouldn't. It's not just a bad ruling that redefines the Constitution but it's so baldly partisan that it destroys the impartiality of the Court.
Precisely. It wasn’t a ‘decision for the ages,’ it was a decision for Trump, and for the Supreme Court. Actually, it was more of a non-decision.

Guys, when it comes to what is or isn't a core function of the Presidency, it's extremely simple: anything Trump does is a core constitutional function of the presidency. At least that's the way it's going to be interpreted by the courts. Simple as that.

I have a vivid memory of Neil Gorsuch's Supreme Court confirmation hearing wherin he said the exact following phrase: "No man is above the law." Why aren' the pundits replaying this now?

The conservative members obviously don't see it that way. They think of it as protecting the office of the president from frivolous legal cases. They would deny it immediately, without the long delay they gave Trump. That immunity is only good for Republican presidents. Thankfully, most Democrats would take the same view as Joe Biden and act like there wasn't any such ruling. They would consider themselves bound by the laws of the country that they swore to uphold.😊
Jones v Clinton - no immunity. It was a civil case but since Dems don't crime as much in the White House, it's the closest example we have.

Under 18 U.S. Code 3145 he would appeal to the circuit and then to the Supreme Court on an emergency basis. Yes, USSC justices take emergency filings even on summer recess.
Ben's thinking is inadequate to what SCOTUS has done. If they are not applying what is in the constution AND adding in what is not there - by his own words - then they have failed their constitutional function and are illegitimate as a body. If there isn't a mechanism to deal with that then one needs to be established. If precedence aren't sacred anymore, then all the damaging decisions the Roberts court has made should be overturned as soon as the judges are there to do so. The country needs an anti Federalist Society to sue-overturn and impeach-remove. The lack of imagination here is stunning, considering the stakes. Ben you are to inside your head about this and Weimer as hell.

The Supreme Court and Ttump have given enough fooder to inform the public. Serve as a surrogate to Biden in your space as so many of us need to do.

He's done nothing unscripted since the debate. JVL and AB Stoddard were saying he should have been on late night TV over the weekend or the Sunday shows to make up for the debate. The fact that he wasn't shows it was more than just one bad night.

What a GREAT point Ben makes: immunity is NOT innocence. This may seem obvious, but if the media don't communicate that to the public, many voters will think that the Supreme Court found him NOT GUILTY of these crimes. Unfortunately, I fear that our media is oblivious of this point or the need to make the public aware of it.
