      It has some of the best IED protection in the world (it is a South African design, after all).

      Просто эту машину обстреливали из всех видов оружия, в том числе и мелкашки, а на выставке выдают, что с поля боя.

    I see a lot of stupid people here saying stuff like "Oh an RPG would destroy it" or "Oh these are weapons are nothing" or "Oh a javelin would destroy it". Ask yourselves this: If you were in battle would you have preferred to be in an unarmored Toyota pickup truck or one of these?
    Check out most of the conflicts in the world. Lots of unarmored vehicles are being used. And lots of lives have been saved by some armies by using MRAPs and up-armored Humvees.For example in Iraq.

      Tiberius Maximus All I know is that it had ballistic protection of STANAG level 4 (14.5x114mm AP) and IED protection exceeding STANAG level 4 A and B (above 10kg) and and can withstand a 50kg blast at 1m.

      I guess it's still in Yemen... it's remains rusting away. The displayed vehicle escaped because it was attacked with just light weapons. Had it been attacked bij an atgm it too would be a burned wreck.

    • @empyrean1795
      @empyrean1795 Před 7 lety +1

      Actually they are...
      " In the U.S. military, small arms are "man portable, individual, and crew-served weapon systems used mainly against personnel and lightly armored or unarmored equipment" However, in regard to inventory management, the U.S. Army says small arms/light weapons (SA/LW) are: "Handguns, shoulder-fired weapons, light automatic weapons up to and including 12.7mm machine guns, recoilless rifles up to and including 106mm, mortars up to and including 81mm, man-portable rocket launchers, rifle-/shoulder-fired grenade launchers, and individually operated weapons that are portable or can be fired without special mounts or firing devices and that have potential use in civil disturbances and are vulnerable to theft. Rıza Kaptan You should see any tanks or humvee in the same instance, this is an APC used to mobilize troops safely across the battle field and defend standpoints that the army captures. It isn't meant to be sent solo, regular protocol calls for tanks and main ground vehicles in the area that might be a real threat and can withstand heavy hits such as rockets and IEDs, these can also withstand such devices but to a certain extent. And it looks to have protected and could have protected the passengers for a long time.
