One point to add around diet based weight loss. The body reduces muscle mass along with fat when the intake is insufficient and there is a lack of activity in addition. So it is important to strength train during a diet based weight loss journey.

i am 58 year old male...had heart attack five years ago and a stent in placed in my heart...before heart attack i used to push ups but then stopped...can I lift weights? i am little scared that it may give me more strain on heart...is there any other way to increase muscle mass like bodyweight strength training of simple squats...etc?

First go through physio therapist... Do recovery exercises to strengthen muscle around back by his help... Then once your core is strengthen... Think about gym... Also walk at least 2 km every day...
Age 24 , I have diagnosed L4 -L5 disc bulge and C5 - C6 disc bulge
I also done physiotherapy many time but it never improve
Mainly I have pain in thoracic region and most of the time in cervical region too plz give me some useful suggestions I m too disturbed bcz of this
The information he is giving is 20 years old. Let me guess ... you are chest breather not a diaphragm breather. You have uneven shoulder. You have a ribcage position shifted. Physiotherapy won't help you. You need movement patterns expert or kinesiologists. Watch Chaplin performance, Zac cupples, Bill Hartmann. 1st thing you should do is correct your breathing 360 expansion of ribcage. You have compression in your ribcage

Amazing and helpful podcast. Absolutely loved it.
But the channel team has to do a bit work on the editing and videography. For example
1. When he was showing the spinal fluid region, you could have zoomed in to it
2. At the end of session, he was showing his knees and explaining, which was not visible in video.
One thing that I absolutely hated was, the ad placement.
Also against what a lot of people are commenting, I think the podcast could have been longer.

Maine to aisa kuch nahi kiya. I am active whole life. Careful in all ways. Doing yoga since 50 years. Suddenly problem of lower back. Not more pain. But tolerable pain. Doing physio but not cured. Whoom to show don’t know. In morning more pain. After hot water pack half an hour then go to washroom brush and chair exercise and stretches.

Don't get disappointed... Find a good physio therapist around you and start exercising which he guides... You will be fine soon... Exercise is the only way out of it... I have gone through it.... Exercises fixed me...
Put belt and take rest until it gets to normal, otherwise do surgery

@@pranky1986 it's the ribcage position which gets decided by breathing pattern. When you breathe from the chest the wrong muscles gets used . You have to breathe from the diaphragm. Wrong breathing causes wrong movement patterns in the body. More forward shift of weight, compression of spine and compression of ribcage....bad Breathing can affect your pelvic floor muscles and cause lower back ache. Biomechanics has evolved a alot and they have moved to New model.
