Any review that has someone have to Convert MP-44 for a Size Comparison gets a Like in my book.
Man went above and beyond the Call of Duty to put himself through that.
i might have to tell you emgo has two mp 44 (one of which is a ko)
I like transforming mp-44 so even if I didn’t have the second copy I’d have no problem transforming it.
Honestly my favorite prime, so glad we're finally getting 3rd party versions

Also reminder to those who don't know, this is a pre release copy of the figure. The actual final version will come in some time. So the problems that this version has might be fixed in the final product.
According to other videos I've seen reviewing the pre-release version TnR has already confirmed that the final figure won't have the black tabs on the bottom of the super-mode feet. Apparently, they found that they held fine enough to the back of the legs in normal mode without them. This is also the only video I've seen mentioning the matrix being loose, so that may just be an issue that'll vary from copy to copy. Hopefully, it'll be rare if not nonexistent on the final version.
can Wing Saber/Wing Blade attach to this one like the Cybertron Prime from the early 2000s?

@@GenzorX No, the proportions are just off enough that it is unlikely to work. Look on magmotion's video. TR02 towers over original prime.

Same, but it doesn't look like there is a place for Prime's arm to go, so not holding my breath.
There is a + shaped slot where the arms fit into that leobreaker could fit into. However it is the wrong shape and not spring loaded so it cannot handle the original leobreaker. A new leobreaker would need to fit via friction alone. Also, the backpack cannot allow the arm folded back, so unless a new backpack is made, savage claw and super mode cannot work at the same time. Magmotion has a video featuring OG sonic wing mode so that seems more possible for the future.

How cool would it have been if both Leobreaker and Wingsaber combined with Optimus at the same time? Something catchy like Sonic Claw or Savage Wing mode.

Far and away my favorite non-G1 Prime! I already preordered one and now I'm even more excited for it.
Imma buy it because I still have my original cybertron prime. It’s near and dear to me and seeing the improvements on this figure made me feel like a kid again

Emgo Reviews can't be beat! Been watching these videos since Transformers Prime came out. I was rewatching some of the old videos and I can't believe how the energy and feel of the videos has stayed the same even after all this time.
Because so many people have been talking about the cyber planet key:
TR is not making the key. The key is included by the distributor for showz and bombusbee as a preorder bonus. They are presumably not profiting from it, which is how they can likely avoid legal trouble. Early reviewers have assured customers will be getting the key.

I really hope you'll check out the TFC toys Supreme tactical Commander carrier version which is basically their unique take on a Cybertron Prime/Nova Prime/Beast Hunters Prime when it eventually comes out. It's basically a completely new heavy retool so it's different enough of a character for you to check out. But we haven't gotten any painted images yet so it might be a good while out

I want it, even though it’s slimmer than the original, but I love the heads sculpt. Too bad I didn’t do the same gimmicks with the guns and the face.

Haven’t seen it in the comments but the key itself is going to be a retailer exclusive so it won’t come with the figure itself standard. I know showzstore will be giving out the keys, don’t know about any others. Cannot wait for this guy, easily the best figure in a long time. Fingers crossed for a Megatron/Galvatron to go with this guy!!!

My only gripe for this figure is the lack of cyber key functionality. And I don't mean the light up gimmick.

Wow. This just goes to show how good the original toy was, especially for its time. There's very little that had to be changed or updated here, even less than Galaxy Meteor compared to OG Cybertron Starscream. I'd love to see them make an updated Cybertron Megs.

@@chrisstead5216 Leobreaker is basically impossible. The backpack isn't designed for Prime's arm to transform into it, and there's no real port for a Leobreaker arm to plug into.

@@NerdyTransformed amazingly, someone released a model kit on thingiverse for a 3D printed savage claw mode for galaxy upgrade prime. They do not mass produce it so you must download the model and print it yourself but it looks pretty good.

Had to come back to this review for the batteries used, but while I’m here I can say that when I got my figure, right out of the box half of his fingers crumbled to nothing but fortunately my figure came with a set of replacement fingers. In addition, the right shoulder ratchet broke after messing with it so caution for tight joints is required. And sadly the die cast has already begun to suffer from paint chipping. Overall not a perfect figure, but still very good
the figure isn't looking good so far. i mean, i preordered it and i still haven't gotten the figure but so far the reports on the figure isn't making it look very good. i'm beginning to have 2nd thoughts
@@vngaming255 It’s up to you if you want to cancel your order, I’m just reporting my experiences with the figure so far. I will go on record saying that it feels like a glorified model kit figure just based on the plastic quality. Imo, some joints could have benefitted from being die cast like the shoulders
Edit: The Cyber Planet Key that he comes with uses the original key mold, it fits perfectly into my original Cybertron Optimus’s and Supreme Starscream’s key slots

I would love to see someone do an MP version of 2001s RID Omega Prime (Optimus Prime/Ultra Magnus) and the 10in1 Galvatron.

Going back to Galvatron, there's one mode which needs some major improvement, the Land Vehicle mode. As it stands, it basically looks like a platform with wheels, it needs a canopy of some sort.
@@darrenbent7601 that vehicle mode looks like one of the bat mobiles. That Megatron figure still holds up. Train bots could use some work

It's a great figure.....if the QC was done correctly. Many, including mine, have problems: fingers broken, sloppy paint job.
I wouldn't mind the sloppy paint job, but the fingers breaking? Oh yeah, Transform and Roll Out better step their game and fix that issue immediately!
What I loved about the Cybertron toys are, when they came with Cyberkeyds to activate.
I like this better than the FansHobby Primes but I still am yet to see a third-party Unicron Trilogy figure that gets it right for me. The Unicron Trilogy was my G1 and I can't quite put my finger on what it is but something about these figures is just really off/wrong to me. I've really liked the Hasbro releases though (other than Galaxy Upgrade Prime, which is fine but not amazing). It may be that I have always cared more about the toys than the shows and the third-party figures are trying to look more like the cartoon than the original toys. Either way, I'm glad to see a bit more love for stuff outside of G1 (as much as I love G1). Hopefully it continues and someone can crack the code.
Do you still have Galaxy Meteor? I was wondering how they scaled together, but I also know that he broke at the hips for a lot of people.
So im not sure if your copy has this problem but mine has many ratchets that are either too tight or too lose and the fingers falling apart

Woah! This is almost identical to Cybertron Optimus Prime. Aside from a few extra transformation steps,
and no cyber key slot, or spring loaded projectiles like the original. But seriously, looking at them side-by-side, I can barely tell them apart(except for size).
Do we know when he releases? I also think the key is a preorder bonus from ShowZStore, but I might be wrong.

Based on what I'm aware of from another review, that's a pre production sample, which is why it has the official autobot logo on the key, and some things are gonna be removed or changed from the official production release
No, the key is not made by TR. It is made by the distributor for Showz and Bombusbee. Showz will include it for preorders while supplies last. Why wouldn't Bombusbee? The changes that will be made for sure are redundant black tabs on the legs will be removed. Some people have notified TR of the backpack straps being too difficult to slot in and the finger joints breaking too easily. Supposedly they are still taking feedback into account before full production resumes on January 29th.

Finally got this figure and the feet are a real disappointment. It really limits the poses.
Thank you for the review Emgo, this figure has been an enigma for me for quiet some time and hearing the horror stories of their Jazz figure left me quite cautious. It definitely looks good as a stand alone figure but it was definitely does not feel like it was designed for the UT love of suiting up Prime more than he already does alone. I'll wait a bit to see the options out there even if that means losing out on preorder bonus.
the planet key has always had an autobot symbol...designed like the matrix its optimus planet key
The reason he pointed it out was because its a knockoff product which means adding the autobot logo can get them in trouble with hasbro/takkara

thanks for doing a comparison with the OG. it seems to be difficult to find people with copies of it--I know the run was pretty short, and I managed to find mine in a wal-mart on vacation when it was originally in retail. can't wait to have these two ont he shelf together.

I always referred to this design as "Gundam Optimus". I'm very glad I still have my original of him, it's still a great figure. Kinda amazed that this new one is only slightly larger.
When is release date?
According to TFsource, Chosen Prime, and Show Z's website, it is estimated to be out next month.
That's great they made the lights the gimmick still. Light up Matrix is awesome. I never had any of the original of the Cybertron line. To go with unicron, I had to buy Primus though. I would like more keys to go with Primus but not sure if there are specific ones that would make sense to use for the gimmick or just any. I'm still hoping to get the Fans hobby Naval Commander and Mega-Tyranno. Now there's Galva-tyranno. I think I remembered those right.

Yeah we've waited years for this new Cybertron 05 Op. I wish TNR pushed it out in a timely manner like Fans Hobby does. I keep checking TFW2005 for updates. A while back, someone said there was a delay during the holidays due to COVID still being prevalent in China. Now that there's no lockdown anymore, we may see it come out this month.
Bombusbee has stated to a user at TFW that they will start releasing the orders in February. Showz has accepted full down-payment. That leads me to believe this is true.
Commander of Stars is out now. I bought mine from someone in Shanghai who sent it to me. I've upload a review of the mass released version of TR02 on my CZcams channel.
To be honest the siege version not good but the new and the old has a little flaws but still cool
They honestly should’ve given him the omega lock with the four cyber planet keys
They forgot to include engineering to allow the figure to combine with a future Leobreaker update for Savage Claw Mode as well as engineering to allow the Sonic Wing Mode combination with a future Wing Saber update and the slots in the big cannons for plugging the Cyber Key into them.
