This is what I usualy do. I admire your work and technique, but I see my mom thaught me well back in the years! Thank you Barbie clothes!
I have used this technique several times since watching as a member of the sewing with Cinnamon group. It was a game changer for me! ❤
Hand sewing and particularly sewing on snaps and buttons is my most dreaded project. Thank you for sharing this clever way of accomplishing this task!
I never thought of doing it the way you showed. That is a great idea and I will use that technique when I sew button and snaps on the next project. Thanks for the great video.❤️❤️

I have did sew snaps under buttons for a pair of pj's I made for my daughter's American Girl doll. That was the first I had used this method. It was great.
Great technique! I will definitely try this next time I have sew on snaps!
I do a lot of hand sewing so this tip will come in handy for sure! Will try this on my next creation involving snaps :) Thanks much!

i just finished a doll jacket. I'm going to give this a try. Thank you.
Genius! Will definitely be trying this in the future!
Yes, I have. It's a good way for the clothing item to look realistic but still have the ease of snaps.
I've never done this but I'm looking forward to trying it!
I have never done snaps before, so I've never done this technique before. I have fine buttons, and will use the centering technique with the thread in the future.
Now I have tried this! Thank you!
I have never done this before, thank you for the tip!
This technique is new to me, I will have to try it.
I haven't tried this yet, but I am sure going to!! I didn't know about this and I'm excited to incorporate this into my hand sewing.
I have not tried this before! I will now!
Clever technique using the seed bead. I'm going to try it.
I've never seen this method of sewing on a snap before. I'll have to try it out sometime.
I typically avoid any project that requires sewing by hand because I am continually pricking my fingers with the needle, however, this is a very keen idea and technique for putting snaps under buttons. I love the technique even if I were to put on only the button. I will try this technique in the future.
If only mine were that neat! I have been known to take mine off and start again. I think that it is because I try to put more than one stitch per hole int he snap. Next time I will try it exactly like this!
Very timely. I was wondering how they got the snap and buttons lined up so well. I will try this for sure.
wonderful tips for sewing snaps. I always have issues with them.

I haven't tried this technique yet, because I don't use snaps as a general rule. If I have to, this looks like a great way to accomplish the task!
I've never tried this but plan on trying it soon.
I’ve never tired this technique, but it sounds really helpful! Thank you!
I have not tried this before, but I like the technique to center the buttons, because I always struggle to keep the button in place while I'm sewing it (I have never tried to do a button with my machine). So this will be very helpful!
The bead trick is something I need to try! I am ham-handed when trying to keep little pieces in place.
I haven't tried this yet but look foward to doing so! - Denise A.
This is a great way to sew on the tinier snaps and buttons used so often with doll clothes. Thanks for sharing.
I have not tried this yet but will do so soon.
looking forward to trying this. seems so much easier than how I do it.
I've never tried this method, but I will be!
I tend to do the reverse: sew the button on after the snap, but if you need to align several buttons and snaps, this seems like a great method.
Interesting bead technique!
I havent tried it but it looks fascinating!
Thanks for sharing your skills!
No I haven't tried this before but looking forward to try it.
That is very clever🙂, will have to try that in the future.
My husband was watching this over my shoulder. His comment was, "Well, that was neat!" I agree!
Very nice!
Haven't tried it yet but it looks like a good idea.
That’s clever! I will have to give it a try; I like accuracy.
I have always had difficulty sewing snaps centered on doll clothes. I prefer snaps over velcro on doll clothes. I have tried many different techniques in order to sew on snaps. I am glad that I came across this video so that I could finally get it. Thank you 😊
Wonderful trick. I love using snaps as I hate how hook and loop tape gets in the dolls hair. I also top with buttons as I like the finished look.
I will have to try this technique.
Brilliant! Thank you for the tip!
I learned several things from this video! I don’t understand what the seed bead is used for. I will have to look that up! Thank you!
Positioning snaps (especially the small ones) is hard. This looks like a great method. Will have to try.
I never knew about the tiny bead trick…how clever! I’m going to use this next time. It has been such a hassle the way I’ve been doing it and I do love the look of tiny buttons on the back!
