The percussion duo "DoubleBeats“ was founded in 2012 by Ni Fan (China) and Lukas Böhm (Germany) during their studies at the 'Hanns Eisler' Academy of Music Berlin and became one of the internationally most successful percussion ensembles. Currently, as part of their postgraduate studies, the duo is artistically supervised by prof. Li Biao, prof. Franz Schindlbeck, prof. Rainer Seegers and pianist prof. Jonathan Aner - as the first percussion ensemble in chamber music worldwide.
DoubleBeats interprets both early and contemporary music. Their repertoire reaches from Bach via Piazolla up to Bartók and contains numerous adaptions and commissionary compositions for traditional as well as modern instruments.

Such a fun piece! The cinematography + location adds so much to the phenomenal playing!

This is 5 years old and I’m just now seeing it? Good job algorithm.
Beautiful playing. Thank you, Doublebeats.
DoubleBeats will be stoked they got a lot a comments only to ask, wtf is Bloo or Bluecoats?
it is a drum corps, I'd recommend watching a show, I'd recommend their 2014 show tilt, it's great
+Dalton Eubanks it was a rhetorical comment, big drum corps fan since 91 😉
+Jeff Menendez ahh you silly billy, well this shows gonna be great, this music is all amazing
+Dalton Eubanks looking forward to it, flying out to the Massillon show from SoCal in Aug to see them.
+Jeff Menendez fresh man, I'm seeing them in SC, Winston Salem, and maybe Atlanta!

Anyone else? ...no? Just me? Okay then...
Me and my friend are tryna play this and it’s such a pain
What mallets are being used here? the sound they produce is amazing!
Thanks for asking! We both used MarimbaOne DoubleHelix I!
+DoubleBeats (Percussion-Duo) I thought those were marimba ones based off of the heads.
Her mallets look like wave wraps to me
@@Parkerplaysperc I could be wrong but I think those are the double helix 4’s they are just super worn
I thought I'd never hear nor see Bluecoats doing this type of stuff, but time to be an optimist, cause this sounds really good.
Dear oHijnx, we're sry to disappoint you - but we have nothing to do with Bluecots, they're just supporting our stuff! ;)
+DoubleBeats (Percussion-Duo) I understand you are trying to be nice, but not what I said
@@Josh-ee9lr this isnt bluecoats my man
loporlp why don’t you people understand that they are just using the music for their own show, i never labeled this as bluecoats music idk what you’re on man
@@Josh-ee9lr can I ask why they don't play popular songs like for instance the lion sleeps tonight .

*BLOOOOOOCOATS😍🤩*
Mallets used?
I find it weird how Ni and Lukas don't use the same marimba four mallet technique. To each their own I guess....
Is Ni using Burton's or is that traditional Cross grip?
+Horrible Gamers it's traditional cross grip!
I prefer Stevens but I guess that’s because I started keyboard in marching band
