Many issues I have with these. 1) They're partformers. You have to break them appart in order to combine them. 2) The final result will not be what appears in the movie. Because they are partformers, it is kinda evident that the Movie version of the Megazord transforms in a non-mechanical way, which makes its translation to a toy difficult. Evident in that the head is PINK, and that the INTERACTIVE MEGAZORD has both feet painted blue, while its shins are black. 3) They're evocative of Bayformers. Many sour memories are brought up because of that.
Everyone's here complaining about the toys themselves, and here I am thinking what the hell were the aliens thinking when designing the zords. It's like they didn't have a damn clue what a prehistoric animal looked like. Sure, the Saber Tooth Cat, Tyrannosaurus, and Pteranodon are semi-accurate. Then you get to the Triceratops and Mastodon...
The buyer deserves a little blame here. If you have seen these in the store they are out in the open, baltmatrix could have easily noticed the leg was gone.
covertyankee I've just watched wotafa's T-rex Battle Zord review earlier, and I see no problem yet with his review, despite he bought his at BBTS. Back to baltmatrix's problem, due to the fact the movie toys are sold in open packagings, I also found out that some parts don't peg in or rather snap on like the tough T-Rex legs and head due to its unique and hard to detach connectors.
in this case the figures look like doodoo lol when compared to previous megazords, this ones just meh more paint apps would have made these all look so much better.
Aquaria At least they have articulation, at least they have paint, at least they have detailed sculpting, at least they're DECENT FIGURES. *Sigh* Why do people overreact...
I don't get why they made the Mastadon a leg and the Saber Tooth Tiger the lower torso. If anything they should have been swapped at least then it would be more similar to the original Dino Megazord.
It's gonna take time for me to get used to the new designs but I can see myself warming up to them. The Megazord does look cool, I really like the fact that it doesn't just try to be the original.
I just can't stand how every toy I've seen from this movie is covered in that crappy crosshatch design. It's like they wanted to give it the general look of being highly detailed, but they did it in the laziest way possible. That, combined with all the cheap-looking gray plastic on everything just makes it all look bad.
hmmm...sure its big than your average PR zord but the level of transforming in each fig is like a legend size transformers , and soo much hollow inside less paint apps , too much partsforming(its fine if it had less partsforming ) when combined its sad that it lacks articulation for a big robot....actually for that size so big they can put some good articulation and when transforming for combined mode i wish that they could at least fold /rotate some parts and kibbles inside the hollow parts to minimize the partsforming , i know this toy has many potential but the toy company did not want to do it for some reason? maybe funds? i dont know, just guessing... im still going to watch the movie but not going to buy any of this sad and boring looking figs its just my personal nitpick and opinion guys. if you peeps still want to buy this things go ahead there's no stopping you guys :D
You have the Triceratops and Mastodon's extra legs in the wrong spot, you're supposed to put them behind the silver pieces to hide them. And you also didn't show that there's another way to add the T-Rex cannons to the pterodactyl wings. Other than those 2 things. Good review. Sorry to hear your Mastodon was missing a leg, pretty sure you can get a replacement for free because of that.
While I do hope the movie turns out to be good and it's cool that this is bigger than Metroplex... the price really seems absurd. For a HUGE Megazord, I think I'd rather go with the Imaginext playset one.
VulpisFoxfire Zachary Low if you see. the number of pairs of legs in sequence. petrodactyl = 0 pair, t-rex = 1 pair, sabertooth = 2 pair, triceratops = 3 pair. and mammoth?/ mastodon= 4 pair.
Friendly Metroid theres no existimg molds also its bandai america not just bandai they don't try to but oil prices are the blame for hollow plastic on figures
Remember when Power Rangers Megazords had die-cast and immense amounts of paint? Remember when they had lights and sounds and solid individual Zords? This is pathetic, especially for modern-day design. The paint is practically nonexistent, the figure is a clusterf*ck of fugly, the gimmicks each Zord have are lazy and it's just one huge disappointment. The proportions are horrible it looks so bad (Well, that's what you get for using an absurdly organic character design *Looking at you, Age of Extinction*). Let's just hope the movie does Power Rangers some justice.
ThePlank1991 i prefer the original Saber Tooth which is leg part and Mamoth as torso. i agree both Saber tooth and Mamoth should switch, the designer of new megazord looks like drunk. in the movie it looks ok since its CGI, toy version imo looks meh. classic megazord(dino) looks better.
apparently there were more rocky putties in zyuranger season one's japanese equivalent they're supposed to be like the leader of the putties maybe that's what it's supposed to be even though they've never been acknowledged in pr as such
I like it aside from the Partsforming it has going on for the megazord. I feel I would like it much more if it was all big chunks you transform and attach. But it looks so good, so that's nice
14:08 That's definitely not the Legacy Megazord, Spada. That aside, I'll wait for these things to be around $60-$80 total. I can't see myself buying these zords for $150, and who knows? Maybe I can customize them after I see the movie designs.
The build able megazord is a made up version for the toys, the triceratops and mastodon aren't one leg each in the film, you want a better idea for the film version look at light and sound action figure just grab that and merge it with the alpha 5 concept art, that's what it looks like.
DONT YOU EVEN DARE SAY THE BIGEST MEGAZORD IS BAD IF YOUR SAYING THIS MEGAZORD IS BAD THEN YOUR SAYING THE ORIGINAL ONE IS BAD THARE THE SAME THING AND IM PRETTY SURE YOU LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONE SO GO TAKE A HIKE AND NO IM NOT GOING CRAZY IM JUST sigh just go see some other comment
If you want a giant size Megazord, Imaginext has one. It's about 2.5 feet tall. Yes, it's a young kids toy, but it is huge, bulky, badass. Proportions are good as well.
When lots of people said that the whole set looks like a Mcdonald's Happy Meal toy, holy shit they weren't joking. And $150 for this? No thanks, i'd rather save up and buy SOC Daizyujin instead. Model wise looks cool tho, if there is a better painted and engineered version release in the future i might pick it up.
GOT IT! The only way to get it was in a 5 pack box set. The original price was 150$CAN plus taxes. That was too much. But thanks to a sale, I could get mine for 129$CAN taxes included. For _that_ price, it's pretty fair.
Let's be honest here. This toy is not very good. Sure it's big but that's all it has going for it so really not worth it's price at all. Not even for kids since based on MMPR Toys' review upper half does not stay that well together to bottom half.
The toy looks like the manager’s kid just shoved some crayons together and the they said ‘’yep the is the megazord for the movie we are definitely not stupid”
I've been saying this for a while; why is it based on might morphin when they've changed the designs so much? A spider mastodon? Six legged triceratops? Jet pterodactyl?Just make your own team if you're going change the designs so drastically.
i like the design but again that lack of articulation a simple swivel for the hips but not even that,so hollow, the lack of paint, i really wanted to like the toy but so many flaws, note, the mastodon and triceratops legs go on the upper legs of the combined mode
Glad you got the legs right, I've seen other reviews of this and they got it wrong. Only flaw in your review, is the leg parts on Mastodon and Triceratops Battle Zords misplaced which the others did right.
New Megazord from the film: fuck all possibility. Barista voice actor for cannon. Decent design. Ugly AF. Old 80's Megazord: possibility of the gods. No sound effects. Real paint apps. Boi he has a Face.
you're being excessive here. old megazord : big cubic stiff and ridiculously overcolored robot, should not even be able to fight colosaal creatures like it does. new megazord : more realistic, awesome design, has a visor as the cockpit in the face(more logical) awesome gimmicks.

Wow, the Playmates Voltron transformable lions are cheaper and look way better, individually AND combined.
Jarmo Verriet agreed
Jarmo Verriet not only that but it has electronics
Though this says more about the models they're taken from than anything else.
James Mason They're the same price as the zords, but even though they're smaller, they feel almost perfect for their price.
James Mason actually, lowest price for voltron altogether is $102.
Giant, glorified Happy Meal toys.
Happy Meal toys have better quality and cheaper...
You are correct, hopefully we get better quality ones soon
I can't believe you posted this comment. I was watching the video thinking they look like over sized happy meal toys. HAHAHA!
Nah they don’t even come apart and are just poseless pieces of undetailed junk
Just paint would make them so much better
Everyone's here complaining about the toys themselves, and here I am thinking what the hell were the aliens thinking when designing the zords. It's like they didn't have a damn clue what a prehistoric animal looked like.
Sure, the Saber Tooth Cat, Tyrannosaurus, and Pteranodon are semi-accurate. Then you get to the Triceratops and Mastodon...
seriously Toys R' Us? you sold products with missing parts?
Vust Valeo blame the packagings, they don't sell them in boxes.
No wonder toys r' us closed down
mourning coffee TOO SOON
Too much partsforming :/ im waiting to see what third party companies do with this. So much wasted potential
whats wrong with parts forming it only makes the figure look better
in this case the figures look like doodoo lol when compared to previous megazords, this ones just meh more paint apps would have made these all look so much better.
It's Power Rangers dude. Partsforming is a staple of it
Mike G doodoo? What are you, 5?!?
lol dont judge me. i just wish they put more effort into these. i collected power ranger toys as a kid and these are just meh compared to them
And some of you guys go on about how modern TFs have hollow, unpainted cheap plastic and suck. This is worse...
Yep. At least transformers still transform. This is almost what a ko of the new megazord would do to transform.
Aquaria At least they have articulation, at least they have paint, at least they have detailed sculpting, at least they're DECENT FIGURES. *Sigh* Why do people overreact...
Not if its a happy meal toy!
Whenever I see this thing I think it looks more like some sort of overcomplicated power armor for one of the rangers as opposed to an actual Megazord.
I don't get why they made the Mastadon a leg and the Saber Tooth Tiger the lower torso. If anything they should have been swapped at least then it would be more similar to the original Dino Megazord.
the mamoth zord looks ridiculous lol 8 legs? and Tricetops have 6 legs XD.
It's gonna take time for me to get used to the new designs but I can see myself warming up to them. The Megazord does look cool, I really like the fact that it doesn't just try to be the original.
I just can't stand how every toy I've seen from this movie is covered in that crappy crosshatch design. That, combined with all the cheap-looking gray plastic on everything just makes it all look bad.
both Mastodon and Triceratops looked like Tundro from the Herculoids
Nice reference.
hmmm...sure its big than your average PR zord but the level of transforming in each fig is like a legend size transformers , and soo much hollow inside less paint apps , too much partsforming(its fine if it had less partsforming ) when combined its sad that it lacks articulation for a big robot....actually for that size so big they can put some good articulation and when transforming for combined mode i wish that they could at least fold /rotate some parts and kibbles inside the hollow parts to minimize the partsforming , i know this toy has many potential but the toy company did not want to do it for some reason? maybe funds? i dont know, just guessing... im still going to watch the movie but not going to buy any of this sad and boring looking figs its just my personal nitpick and opinion guys. if you peeps still want to buy this things go ahead there's no stopping you guys :D

wtf why is the mammoth missing a leg, thats disgraceful
He should have went out and get a refund for it.
Welll, depending on how you look at it, the *mammoth* has three extra legs...
VulpisFoxfire Zachary Low if you see. the number of pairs of legs in sequence. petrodactyl = 0 pair, t-rex = 1 pair, sabertooth = 2 pair, triceratops = 3 pair. and mammoth?/ mastodon= 4 pair.
This looks like trash. People should just buy a Legacy Megazord instead.
Vince Pavey Honestly yeah but a far better choice would be the upcoming SOC Daizyujin
Agreed.
Super minipla is great too
+Vince Pavey forgot to change accounts
too many hollow plastic for that price
That's how Hasbro/Bandai do now. They tried to push the engineering and have less material, and more reuse of existing molds.
Friendly Metroid theres no existimg molds also its bandai america not just bandai they don't try to but oil prices are the blame for hollow plastic on figures
huzie buzie and lazy effort on the toy
Jetfire48 Oil prices are low right now bud
Yep, only the pink ranger zord worth something..
Naresh honestly the reason they aren't like that is bandai america doesn't use the super sentai toys of bandai japan anymore....
it'd be nice of them to at least try
RIP mastodon leg 2017-2017
"And I absolutely adore the new head. It's a nice homage to the original figure."
...that head...looks nothing like the original Megazord...
There's so much Pulling apart and putting back together for the Mega
The megazord head is the only "good" looking thing
Mastodon and sabertooth should of been switched. Makes more sense but ooh well.
In the 2017 power ranger movie the wings of the terradactal zord were the only weapons that were used during the fight scene with goldar.
This design deserves a better figure. Give it a remake!
The new Putty Patroller design is already way cooler and more threatening than any of the previous ones.
apparently there were more rocky putties in zyuranger season one's japanese equivalent they're supposed to be like the leader of the putties maybe that's what it's supposed to be even though they've never been acknowledged in pr as such
Funny how he mentions aliens and such where the trex back weapon looks like the spacejocky chair from the first alien movie
i just realized the sabertooth tiger's cockpit is in the same spot as titans return wolfwire's cockpit
I like it aside from the Partsforming it has going on for the megazord. I feel I would like it much more if it was all big chunks you transform and attach. But it looks so good, so that's nice
This thing had no business being that expensive lmao
It looks, feels, and transforms like a bootleg toy
It's even larger than that one Godzilla 2014 figure that is probably one of the longest figures, if not the longest I have
As of Right now there is a $99.99 complete collection of the Megazord on TRU website
you have the mastodon & triceratops legs wrong they go on the hips off the megazord
14:08 That's definitely not the Legacy Megazord, Spada.
That aside, I'll wait for these things to be around $60-$80 total. I can't see myself buying these zords for $150, and who knows? Maybe I can customize them after I see the movie designs.

better know as the "we don't know anything about power rangers, but we needed to make money, megazord sorta thing".. it's a long name but it's catchy
His shoulder to head ratio looks ridiculous. That's true for many mechs, but the sloping shoulders are what kills it for me.
You said to take off the pterodactyl feet but where do you place it afterward during the combination? U forgot to mention about the pterodactyl feet?
All the megazords? Prepare for an hour long video
you like it? crazy man, crazy
the toy is horrible for what they are asking in terms of price. still cant get behind the designs. they shouldve just stayed as concept art.
Jeez calm your tits
If you want a giant size Megazord, Imaginext has one. It's about 2.5 feet tall. Yes, it's a young kids toy, but it is huge, bulky, badass. Proportions are good as well.
So that thing's as big as the remake of Metroplex and Fortress Maximus. Wowzer!
Except metroplex and fort max are worth the price point
the movie and the toys have ruined my childhood of how the megazords are and what they look like combined
Where do the rangers go when it's in the megazord form?
That much partsforming you'd expect from a combination of 10 zords, not 5.
What do you think of the look of the Kyuuranger toys?
I feel like they are over complicating the designs far to much which ends in a very bad final outcome like this :/
I hope the next mold of these figures will not have so much removal of parts.
Bandai have been making AMAZING megazords for decades now, so how the hell did they manage to come up with this?
Bandai didn’t make this and I’m sure they will never have the audacity to design this
Is it bigger than Supreme Cheetor from Beast Machines?
Just love the upgrade to 60 FPS-HD-
just great
Does it have any kind of additional slots or movable parts to.. i dunno.... support a Dragonzord perhaps??
hay balt are you going to do that awesome transformers stop motion? it was amazing!!!
This is why you buy Voltron for a cheaper price and better outcome boys and girls.
Where do the Pterodactyl's front feet go?
There chunks of metal from Michael bays transformer
Goodness, I paid less for my Thunderzords, mind you they were still in the box and unstickered.
The g1 constructicons were more poseable than these and they didn’t partsform
just to say Titans Return Fort Max is the biggest ever made. That said the bot is huge!
for 20 dollars a Zord they should have put more paint apps on it and made it less hollow
I thought both blue and Black's legs go behind the gray thighs?
DO WANT! But I wonder if the Japanese version will be different molds or will it be these toys but with much better paint?
GOT IT!
The only way to get it was in a 5 pack box set. The original price was 150$CAN plus taxes. That was too much. But thanks to a sale, I could get mine for 129$CAN taxes included. For _that_ price, it's pretty fair.
Dude this isnt even super sentai
Classic "they just don't make em like they use to"
Let's be honest here. This toy is not very good. Sure it's big but that's all it has going for it so really not worth it's price at all. Not even for kids since based on MMPR Toys' review upper half does not stay that well together to bottom half.
holy hell. $150?!?? The Legacy Ninjazord costs that much!! (In Canada)
Where did you learn math? 19.99 x 4, + 39.99 is $120.00.
The toy looks like the manager’s kid just shoved some crayons together and the they said ‘’yep the is the megazord for the movie we are definitely not stupid”
except that it looks awesome and is great. it works.
Well, it is a good thing you don't have OCD, I am "freaking out" about your missing leg all the way over here in South Africa
Is sad that these are the only toys available for a combining megazord. I love the individual figures though. Still miss that Dino Tanker mode.
Bandai USA, Flea Market quality at a premium price.
I've been saying this for a while; why is it based on might morphin when they've changed the designs so much? A spider mastodon? Six legged triceratops? Jet pterodactyl?Just make your own team if you're going change the designs so drastically.
Wait wasn’t the mastodon originally the arms? And the saber tooth tiger the leg?
who cares ?
is it bigger than the g12 formation from power rangers RPM
Metroplex vs movie Megazord
That's a happy meal toy quality. 1990s toys were much more detailed at a lower price.
Is it bigger than Energon Omega Supreme?
7:05 maybe in the movie the yellow ranger docks in the back but gets pushed yo the head
i like the design but again that lack of articulation a simple swivel for the hips but not even that,so hollow, the lack of paint, i really wanted to like the toy but so many flaws, note, the mastodon and triceratops legs go on the upper legs of the combined mode
These are worse than goddamn rescue bots
But is it bigger than LG Fortress Maximus?
This zord is a mess, it looks awfoul, and the price......
I agree my friend
Glad you got the legs right, I've seen other reviews of this and they got it wrong. Only flaw in your review, is the leg parts on Mastodon and Triceratops Battle Zords misplaced which the others did right.
absolutely great? are you blind? this whole set, both in separate parts, and combined, looks like a steaming pile of hot garbage.
what but how is the trex cost more than 4 zords its like ten more dollars
Uh, sorry, but, one more thing. I think U have the arm guns backward, buuut that's ok.
this zord like S-H-I-T
Is that a motherfucking jojo reference?
the actual cost rounded up is $120
New Megazord from the film: fuck all possibility.
*The Triceratops reminds me of Ormogodden from Brütal Legend.*
they couldn't even make it look anything like the actual zord the only reason I'd see this is because Jason David Frank in it
Nope. Not that price for the Pteradactyl.
CNFunnyJon yeah if anything you should get the new voltron lions which overall look so much better
I saw. Wow. if only they got the electronic interface into this. Wow.
this will end up downsized to be a happy meal toy set
14:00 a few years later hello new unicron
Pink dactyl. more like Pink Baron.
Because, the design look like a starfighter.
The rear legs of the mastodon and triceratop zords should be pegged on the sides of the thighs actually
