    Me and ‪@BarberRidez‬ swapped bikes and I got to ride his Honda 450RL.
    This is my first time riding a Honda 450 RL, I have always wanted one, and been real close to pulling the trigger.
    I am impressed with the Honda 450 and that should not really be a surprise with a Honda.
    This bike is a great all-around motorcycle with performance. This would make a great bdr motorcycle in my opinion.
    The Honda 450 RL is a really nice bike and I can see myself owning it one day!

    Would you buy a Honda 450 RL?

      I did, just about three weeks ago. 😃 I've already changed the tires on mine, to Dunlop D606s. My Vortex ECU has been ordered but probably 10 weeks before I'll see it, unless it ships earlier than expected. I'll choose between a Yoshi and FMF exhaust and order that closer to when my Vortex ships. I'm not going to toss on a high flow exhaust till I can get the ECU to match.

      Got mine just after lockdown in spring 2020 - got the last in stock 2019 model for 7800 before fees etc. Glad I decided to before prices and availability for off road stuff went crazy.

      Definitely a nice dual sport option but very happy with my 2020 Husky FE350S. Run it stock engine wise and though muted power it works fine for my riding. No flame outs and decent overall fueling.

    As an owner of a 2019 model, I disagree with the comment that "you must replace the ECU. For starters the CRF450RL doesn't"flame out", it simply stalls. It also has a jerky throttle response. After 800 or so miles, the "stalling" goes away. Soon after the herky jerky throttle response is greatly reduced. Most "testers" ride brand new, or very low mileage bikes for only a short time, then complain. Also, a lot of owners ride it once or twice, then state how unrideable it is. If they'd simply wait to modify for one year, they'd end up with a great bike. Suspension set up is also critical. I am still riding my 2019 model stock, after owning it for three years. Search a stocker out, then get used to the bike. It'll impress.

      You're correct it doesnt have to have an ECU, but I think its a much better experience with aftermarket ECUs even on the ktms. The ecu do more than just smooth them out.

      @gt7500 Před rokem +2

      @@MobMoto My reason for insisting that an ECU isn't needed is to encourage potential Owners that you don't need a new exhaust system and ECU. That's an $1800 to over $2000 USD hit! Yes, you'll gain power and ride ability, but as many can attest to, riding it stock, engine wise, is a viable option. Cheers!

      @@gt7500 I stated it in several of my videos that its not needed but its a far better experience. It is possible to run these aftermarket ecus with a stock exhaust as well. I think most people are aware they can be left stock, but they're chocked up for sure. With that said many people enjoy them stock. Thanks Glenn

      I paid $12,900 in April 2021 off the floor in Alberta. 4500 km on her. She will still stall , but not as bad as when new. She tops out at 159 km/hr so 100 mph. Awesome machine and way lighter than my klr 650.

    my friend has a 300l with about 3k+ in it great bike but it is still not as good as a 450 rl/l w/ ecu upgrade price becomes irrelevant at that point.

      Engine is best of the 450's, with power 3hp short of the FE501S! Frame is not that "new fangled" steel, though. Suspension is closed cartridge Showa forks and shock. Another best in class. In my books, the Honda is the best suspended, best behaved 2019 450, not to mention that it is more reliable than any year 450 or 500 cc d\s.
