    Nice short and sweet video, although a shot of the spark plug removal might have been nice. A couple of pointers would be: Have some compressed air or a vacuum handy to deal with particulate matter. The plastic sheathing on my spark plug wires disintegrated instantly so I had to clean the area several times to keep stuff from falling in the holes. Also have some long needle nose pliers handy. I found that if placed the sparkplug too loosely in the rubber part of the socket it would fall out before I could set it properly. Then I had to worry about cross threading. If I put it in firmly the extension bar pulled out of the socket before the socket would release from the sparkplug, hence the need for needle nose to pull off the socket. Also, buy the best spark plugs possible. You don't want to do this more than once. It seems like sort of a bad design but at least they are easy to get to.

    So do you just pull the Spark plug right out?

    • @trinsit
      @trinsit Před 5 lety +1

      No, you need a spark plug socket. They're pretty much universal in size, but if you want to be sure, when you buy the new spark plugs, you can put it into the spark plug socket to make sure it's the right fit before buying it. The big thing being that spark plug sockets will handle porcelain better and have a magnet attached to pull the spark plug out. The socket should already be attached to an extension, but if not, get one of those too.

    This video was about spark plug replacement but you showed how to remove The engine cover, and remove bolts, etc…yet NOT how to replace the spark plugs…you just talked through that part instead of demonstrating how to do it.

    • @BrianBalatbat
      @BrianBalatbat  Před 3 lety

      I wanted to show the difficult part of the process, removing the spark plug is just like any other spark plug removal, insert the spark plug socket in hole, turn it counter clock wise using your ratchet and it will come out. Installing new spark plugs is reverse order.

    • @bdotnicole
      @bdotnicole Před 3 lety +5

      @@BrianBalatbat I understand but seeing the entire process is more user friendly for first timers. You can’t say it’s just like any other removal. What if you’re the first video I saw on how to replace them, and I didn’t get the entire process…now I am leaving your video to go to someone else’s. Which would take the like and potential subscription away from your page and to someone else. Just something to think about. Not trying to sound harsh. The video should fulfill what the title says so a viewer doesn’t look elsewhere
