Tate Martell was a BEAST of a High School QB. I have seen a lot of high school ball, I love high school ball. His wins say it all. He was the best of the best.

He was a good QB surrounded by a great team and coaches, and never experienced failure, hardship, or adversity. When he got to college it only became more apparent when he couldn't break into a top spot, sulked, and transferred the moment he wasn't handed the starting job on a platter. Now it seems he's doing the same song and dance at Miami.

not really it used to be an all day thing in spring and fall ball with two a days, meetings, and walk throughs so they had to change for player safety

Agreed, he's the type of player the got elevated by a great team and great coaches in a top HS. Never faced any struggles or adversity, was handed everything on a platter. The moment he wasn't given the start he ducked out to Miami to get a starting job rather than work his ass off and try to take the starting job. That shows his character.

Tate Martell beyond arrogant, wasn't willing to put in any work at the college level what so ever
The ohio state recruiter you could tell had his doubts and could just how immature and coddled he really was
I always felt they made a mistake including the Tayvon story. Not only was it a buzzkill, he wasn't on the same level as the other two players so instead of celebrating his high school athletic accomplishments it seemed to diminish them by comparison, especially because his high school team sucked and it seemed like he would rather have stayed at his original school (its never fully explained why his mom insisted he go to the private school -- its not like they were loaded with football talent)
His old school was trash I live in pa and his old school sucks

To be fair, Tate had the number 1 team in the nation and the other teams weren’t that good. I wouldn’t be surprised if McDevvitt had the worst ranked defense in all of high school and had terrible receivers. Houston County’s defense was not that good, always giving up their lead.
