It felt like brawl was the sequel to The original, 4 was brawls sequel and hopefully this will be melees but with more characters and hopefully a story mode that is worthy of smash. I mean so much potential there literally could have an avengers esc style story with all these heroes

It is most definitely a new game. Nintendo is not going to hype up a new Smash Bros. title just to disappoint fans later on by revealing it is a Super Smash Deluxe.

Well, either a) we get the campaign that got retracted after the leaks OF a campaign mode in ssb4, but now with MORE characters, or b) they expand on the ssbb subspace and do a continuation after that game (and maybe explain how SONIC is still in for a second game, but Snake didn't). Here's hoping for TPP Big Boss to avenge this mistake!

I honestly can't wait for this year to be filled with tiny trailers with more info about this getting me even more hyped. From this spine chilling trailer alone I have a feeling I'm not going to be disappointed.
Now watching this again, it's really funny how the main theme of smash ultimate was there all along in a calmer way but we didn't even bother to hear it because we were too busy screaming and crying seeing this.

I hope to see 2 separate Links actually. Regular Link with his regular moveset, and BOTW link with a slightly tweaked moveset (Up B is Revali's gale, Bombs are remote control except time detonated, etc). If the take Toon Link out to make this swap possible that would be ok by me.
