I was never into schecter guitars however I do love the specs of these, think I'll Scheck it out!
Honestly, I don't think this guy is arrogant. His humor is typically German - I have a few German friends and they are a bit... eccentric like Henning.
However, what I really didn't like about this show was that the presenter constantly wanted to be in the spotlights. I understand the enthusiasm, but many times Nick was trying to start a sentence something and Henning just didn't care at all, just talking over it. Remember Henning, when you have guests, it's not about you. It took WAY too long before Nick could show you his lick. People would like you a lot more if you didn't do that ;)

I enjoyed this a lot.
I've been working on a hybrid picking lick in a Japanese scale. Took me forever to get it down. Watching you do that lick has inspired me to continue trying more hybrid picking in various scales and see what happens.

Funny you mention it, I actually bought the Schecter Nick Johnston TRAD (the one for 700$) just two days ago. It is simply wonderful.

Nick's lick is actually an old Richie Kotzen lick from days when he was still using a pick ;D I think he showed in his "Hi-Tech Guitar" video instructional, although it was in a Major key if I remember correctly :)
I find interesting that Nick applied the F melodic minor lick strictly on F minor, basically using the major 7th and 6th as "colors". I usually play that scale on other weirder chords built around it like a Bb7b5 or a E7b9/#9alt!

I had the same question as 2toast4you below. What's the song at the end? Also good video. Nick is the greatest interviewee and is great at relating ideas. I also liked the guitar. As a side I'm getting fed up with "type" guitar language in videos. That's like going to the coffee shop and asking for a Juan Valdez type drink...or buying an F type car, or flying in a W brothers type plane. Why are we paying tribute to a corporation that has no connection to the man. All they did was buy his iconic work and market it. They haven't created anything iconic since. Seriously with all the innovations nothing since....Never sell your name.... lets just say single coil guitar or humbucker guitar. Most single coils have 2 or 3 pickups and humbuckers 2 it'll be close enough without the type crap. I bet those Schecters are nicer and stand on their own. Anyway watched a lot of the videos very entertaining. I love the concept of Kiana's channel and following her path. I like how you didn't press her to be more comfortable but are just letting her grow into it. This post is like some of your vids running on....good bye..

Almost all the editing is done live while recording, that's why Kiana is there at the switcher.

Also dasselbe Problem wie auch bei Pride and Joy... Wie wärs denn mal mit nem kurzen max. 5 Minuten 1 Kamera/No Edits Video zum Thema "Tips für dämpfen mit links"? Ich bin sicher nicht der Einzige der damit so seine (großen) Schwierigkeiten hat... vielleicht passts ja mal rein, zwischen all die Reviews - auch wenn ich mir da wenig Hoffnung mach.
Vielleicht wär das ja aber was... evtl. als Teil einer neuen quick & dirty Serie im Vlog-Stil (eine Kamera, keine Edits - aufgenommen und hochgeladen oder gar als Direktupload), in der du hin und wieder ganz schnell und ohne viel Aufwand einen paar Minuten lange Clip aufzeichnest, in dem du einen Tip gibst, etwas mit dem viele deiner Schüler hadern und das gerade aktuell wieder vorgekommen ist, ein neuer Lick an dem du gerade arbeitest,... "HP42's quick Tips between through for you". Den Titel schenk ich dir. Ich würds kucken!

Ill say it again - you are winning. You got the house, the things, etc but your interpersonal skills are brutal and your sense of humor is dreadful. Ive seen a handful of your vids and one of them you're going on how this company should drop payola or gear if you're going to talk about them...gross shit. Positives about this video: the guest, good lighting, those Schecters look great. Hard to find a guitar with ebony neck.

What we do here on CZcams is bring you interesting products... it is reviews and that is, to some extent, advertising.... I work with many companies... if a company has a certain size and a budget, they should pay me for my work... if they don't want to, they just can't have any airtime... is that wrong? This is my job. I spent A LOT of money on my video gear and I have something to offer... I work 12 hours every day... sometimes more... should I NOT get paid for that? Is that wrong? There are brands that get it and some brands that are truly insulting to our craft... I call them out.... again... should I not get paid for what I do? How else would I do this for the viewers if I couldn't make money with it? This can't be a hobby... it consumes every minute of every day.

abstracthc first of all: I am not some kind of fanboy of this guy. But I am sure he wasn't being serious. Do you really think Nick Johnston would spend time with somebody who actually behaves like that? I don't think so. Just look at how they are interacting. Nick seems to be fully aware that he is just goofing around. I had no problems understanding when the host was being serious or when he was joking in a sarcastic manner that some might perceive as being arrogant. But I am German myself so I have a feeling I can understand him better than non Germans even when he is speaking English. It's hard to explain. What I am trying to say is that I am sure that he is a nice guy. He would not be able to sit there with Nick Johnston like that for half an hour if he was an actual asshole, trust me. Nick is a nice guy but I am sure he would show some signs of discomfort if your claims would be true
