  • My first bash at a bouzouki video. Traditional Irish waltz by Turlough O'Carolan, played on my Richwood bouzouki. The title roughly translates to 'Little fairy hill, big fairy hill', and is thought to be O'Carolan's very first composition!

Wonderful played, first heard it on a planxty album. What tuning so you use? Is it GDAD?

Thank you William. It's a Richwood. I don't know anything about it because a friend left it to me when he moved back to the States.

It was written by o Carrollan about 300 years ago, he was known as the blind harper, if you type the name of the tune into google there is an American site which actually has the music for it, can’t remember the name of the site but they have lots of jigs and reels on there as well, it is sheet music though, so if you can’t read music you will have to work it out note by note.
