This works best with auto tac sprint. If you use tap to run the timing takes getting used to so that you don't dive on mistake
I'm pretty sure every good player uses automatic tac sprint but yeah. I keep dolphin diving.

It works best with auto TAC sprint yes, but that doesn't prevent you from diving instead of sliding when you're trying to snake an opponent.

You still accidentally dive with auto tac sprint on. If you try to chain multiple slide cancels in quick succession, you'll dive out of nowhere without pressing the sprint button, just like what happened to Slide Only when it was bugged.

I've gotten used to it when traveling the map, but when I'm engaging with an enemy it accidentally dives all the time because I'm not paying attention to how hard I push L3.
@@jtruslow28why do you push L3 you’re breaking your sticks over time just use auto tac sprint and you can have your finger loose to be more snappy and responsive when aiming clicking the stick and moving sucks

Before the patch, with slide only, I could dive if I just started my sprint and then dove. It had to be immediately after you started sprinting though, maybe half a second

Another thing I noticed that’s broken with the slide now is if you try to get into a quick sprint and slide with “slide only & hybrid” the character starts running and the slide gets insanely delayed. It wasn’t like that before the update.

I have an issue where I’m pretty good on hybrid but I always accidentally dive when I get in a gunfight where the enemy surprises me. Also it is very hard to get the muscle memory down because even on auto tac you have to press the sprint button to get quickly out of prone so error easily happens
If I’m using auto tac sprint, and I use this, will I always dive on tap? Or do I have to actually be pushing on L3?
Do you know if the hybrid option causes issues with going prone? It seems very delayed when I try to drop shot but I haven’t tested with the other options. Thanks for the great video!

I'm wondering about Keyboard and mouse. I use shift as Tac sprint. I have the slide as C, I have dive as side button on mouse. This is 2 different buttons for those 2 functions. Will hybrid work on this?
Yo jgod, can you test the different button combinations to slide canceling, because I swear one of them is more responsive then the other way you can also slide cancel. So when I press the slide button, then cancel with the sprint button, it feels more responsive and I’m able to spam slide cancel more fluidly. now when I press the slide button and cancel pressing the jump button, the cancel feel a bit delayed comparing to cancel with the sprint button, and I’m not able to spam slide cancel as well with the jump button with out accidentally just crouching or even going prone it the middle of my slide cancel spam. I haven’t seen anyone talk about this but it really feels like there is a bit of a delay when you cancel your slide with a jump, rather then a sprint
I've been waiting for someone to test the new HYBRID response curve... I kept it on slide only with out knowing to ensure reaction time. But, this is good news as diving for a tactical parachute full-send has been missed.
Do you have slide maintain sprint on or off ?
I have found that auto sprint (not tac sprint) is best for me because it doesnt kill your ADS times as much. So that setting combination and the fact that I constantly spam L3, it may be a tough adjustment.
But can you tac sprint by only tapping the button once?

i liked it at first, but if you are trying to pull off a hesi move, its still cleaner to use l3 to immediately sprint and then immediately sprint slide the other way. hybrid still makes you dive. i just ds4 windows to map dive on my touchpad. anyways play clay with paddles so its right next to square. regardless have to use ds4 windows to use ps5 dualsense edge back paddles without owning a ps5.

Interesting. I just use a keybind on a side buttons cuz I have the Scuf Envision Pro. God forbid that controller breaks and I need to switch back to a DualShock, glad this option is available. Very helpful video!

I have the scuff also, icue is messed up all the time, maybe try to delete icue and do a fresh reinstall, completely remove icue from you PC files and reinstall, go to mapping and try it again@@geertm4493

The thing that I can't stand is that with auto tac sprint on, sometimes it doesn't auto tac sprint when I move my left stick forward compared to MW 2019 it felt so responsive and clean. Unless I'm missing some setting or something but anyone else been able to fix this?

u should be able to choose a button to hoöd for activating the dive instead of having to hold L3
Jgod, I have a suggestion for a video. I have found out of a gun that could be very gamebreaking if using the right attachments.
On the COR-45(a pistol), you can use the trigger action attachment XRK Lightning fire which gives you a 88% fire rate increase, this combined with rapid fire macros can result in killing enemies insanely fast both long and short ranges (400ms close and around 600ms over 50 metres away with full plates). I am guessing that this is not something that was supposed to be implemented as you get 750rpm and a damage profile consisting of 54 dmg in chest and 49 in stomach.
Its a huge bug that has not been found out by the mainstream, currently it seems like I am the only one who knows about this. But making a video stating this bug, might help it get removed as quick as possible.

Why do my weapons keep going into a hip fire mode in multiplayer even with tac stance turned on and the other setting to on toggle?
it does that when you are in a sliding position and aim, you need to cancel the slide and then aim
I play on kbm and had been using different keybinds for slide and dive with no issues. Never timed it but it feels pretty snappy.
None of this applies to kbm. It’s only on controller cause they don’t have the luxury of several keybinds. On pc you would just have slide dive independent. You would be silly to run it like the roller players do lol

Is there a setting to help with accidental mounting? Too often when I’m jump shooting I end up mantling onto something
Change it to double tap to mount
Turn grounded mantling off
Do what hanzy said if you are worried about accidental mantling. But it’s a double edged sword, because this setting makes mantling through low level ledges (especially windows) significantly harder/longer to perform. That being said I still think it’s worth it
@@kyleshannon7393they got mounting and mantling confused as the same thing, but even then double tap to mount sounds bad cuz if you accidentally double tap the button you’ll mount. easier to just not press melee imo

No lie J , here’s my old idea; scarlet laser+ bruin (hip + tac spread) plus dive only bc I need to be standing still for perfect accuracy with the scarlet laser , so I’m stationary after dive and instant perfect hip fire
For those people that are having trouble with diving when you want to slide. You HOLD the sprint button to dive. In order to slide you only need to PRESS the sprint button

You dont need them for anything but controller, so you are fine because you have different buttons for bindings.

Personally I’m still gonna use dive only. I’m not a slide canceller, it’s just cheese imho and find diving way more useful getting to cover, jumping off buildings, etc.

I think is one of those settings that is so good that if you are a competitive player you have to incorporate this on your gameplay. You will eliminate the user error very easily through out practice.
I have to ask: how people play FPS games on controller? (i'm not judging btw, it's a legit question). I know not the scope of the video but i was playing with these days and my god it feels off to me . Maybe because i was never into play FPS with a controller. Everytime that i picked i just put down because was on a controller. It would require me to play with a controller for years and years to feels confortable and natural and i'm old. I will keep my trash aim on m&K : ) Ok nobody asked, moving on...
for call of duty, most people play on controller. it’s been a console-focused game since CoD4, with cross play being introduced aim assist got buffed to help against M&K.
as far as other fps games, not many people play controller because those are either on PC only or the more complex style makes using a controller un-optimal and aim assist isn’t always strong enough to warrant using controller (Valorant, CSGO, Overwatch, Fortnite, Apex, etc)
edit: regardless of the game, most controller players who take the game somewhat seriously or competitively may either incorporate a claw grip (using pointer finger to press jump, crouch, reload, etc), get back paddles to press those buttons, or incorporate a different button layout entirely in order move/use abilities/do other actions while aiming.
People play claw to have that feeling you’re talking about for FPS games on controller , you can have paddles of course but claw is the best way to minimize disadvantages and maximize the advantages of playing on controller

I play with it on tap to slide hold to crouch shared, so I still get a delay. I could put it on 2 buttons but I have 1000s of hours on shared it'd be nice to have no delay out of my slides@@JGOD

I just think the slide cancel from MW2019 should have been implemented into the game. Its annoying how they just added an extra button tap to combine to the slide cancel. Devs just love to mess with things that were just fine
