One of the best C8 videos and one of the best TFL videos. Good job guys. 👍
Completely agree. The people you talked to and the feature review was great.
Right. I watch other reviews and I keep muttering "can you just show me the car and drive it so I can see it and hear it move? I do not need you to stand in front of the camera and read the press kit highlights..."
Well done the way Tommy and Roman played off each other covering the various elements of the new C8 (from the steering wheel to the launch control). Very professional.
Tommy's great at this. Keep it up guys!

As a dad myself ... It must be so awesome to have your son make corvette videos with you for a living. You both are living the dream.
Red with a tan interior is my favorite color combo. Love this new Vette!
GM Thinking outside of the box and succeeding! A mid engine corvette, this is a breath of fresh air. It opens up many new design options.
The corvette always felt like a car for retirees who dreamed all their lives about have a 50s, 60s,70s corvette. As a result the design, tech, execution, and target audience always felt old and slightly in the lounge lizard category. This new platform is a completely new take on a aged icon.
This is a whole new ball game. I wish GM great success with this and they need to be rewarded for pushing outside of their comfort zone.
They should do this with A LOT of their cars; grab the Hondas, Toyotas, Kias--see what they do, and see how you can do it better, and then DO IT! The fact that they did this with such a halo car as the Corvette, means they can do this across brand.
Yeah but they really made a mistake not selling a manual and pretty much lying about pricing
I know you think that but it will be the same, going to be the same guys buying them and once you see the 30th C8 in one hour driving down the road you will be over them. I've seen them since last summer and even with only seeing maybe 6 of them they are not that exciting to me anymore. If anything I am kind of going back to the C7 and thinking I like the looks of that much better than the C8. That being said the C4 is still my favorite Corvette generation.
There are a lot of great things about GM and I think they might have some of the world's greatest engineers and designers but the whole company is hindered by the cost cutting of the bottom line and bureaucracy of the company.
@@mattm2507 even the base Corvette isn't full of plastic yes a few plastic here and there but it's definitely not full of it

This is the most radical change in a model I have ever seen. Its incredible.
You must have been born yesterday then.
This car is astonishing at its price. That it looks so good and is so powerful and innovative at a price that isn't completely out of reach for normal 9 to 5 people is really amazing. I can't wait to be seriously in the market for a used one in a couple years

I applaud GM for allowing their products to do the talking for them! I’ve even witnessed people who I know for a fact are haters of this company, but have come forward to show their support and give credit where it is due. This vehicle is a absolutely gorgeous and elite machine. Well done, Chevrolet!
Come on, this car is crap. Supercar want-a-be for those that can't afford the real thing. I think the term used to describe all Vette owners (males at least) is Needle Dicks.
Corvette was the original super car. There was a time they had a an aluminum big block option.
Then corporatocracy trashed the car for higher profits along with the rest of the crap GM made. Corporate Suicide.
Now we always knew GM had the technology to produce a good car.
We also learned there was no way they were going to let you buy something from them anything like worth having.
The company has a bad stigma for poor quality they will never live down.
You can’t get my money wankers.
@31B4P Actually, you are wrong Will Rogers. I am simply saying that Corvettes as a poor man's wanna-be supercar. For me, I drive a 911 GT3. I know, unfair for me to compare the 911 to the needle dick vette, but opps, I;m not so I guess we're even. First time that I would even consider buying a Chevy. Nice job guys!! Finally, a no excuses Corvette with an interior that does not need to be described as 'nice, for the money...'

The only thing nice about the entire interior is the leather so I'm assuming that's the part that you're talking about. Everything else is either ugly or over-styled
Great video. Saw my first Vette in 63-65, while in grammar school, on the West Side in Buffalo, NY, where we used to play football in the street. One of the older guys in the neighborhood (18-20 yrs old!) worked at Chevy and owned a beautiful, brand new, Corvette (no garage so he parked it in the street - Congress Street - needless to say, back in those days, we did not mess with it)! Unlike anything we had ever seen before! (sigh) The memories, never forgot it! Fascinated till today. Although one is not in my future, I still love 'em and really liked your informative video on the C-8! Beautiful! TY, Jim

Great review! It was thorough, covering many of the essential aspects of the product. The guest were authoritative and articulate. They clearly presented how the final product delivered on the appropriately high standards set by the leaders of this segment. They also touched on how they leveraged GM's strengths to deliver a world class product at an unbeatable value proposition with few if any compromises. The C8 makes a mid-engine supercar available to many people for whom, this level of performance and practicality was previously nowhere near their price point.
I'm not a fancy sports car guy but dang do I just find myself attracted to this thing. Well done.

I’m a Ford guy, but if I had a half million to spend and my option was a GT or Vette, think my money would get the Fiberglass one. Any body should build a great car for 500 grand, but to build a great car fo 60 grand that’s a win in my book. Make mine Carolina Blue,
Im a ford guy as well, that 500k car started as a racecar that is purpose is to win lemans, this corvette hover is designed to become a best roadcar for everybody and I kinda like it alot and especially for around 60k
Me too! Give me the Zeus Bronze
unfair sanic well said!
@@poppyneese1811now the only thing that im worried about this new vette is the dependability and reliability because GM is not notorious when it comes to mid engine cars only front engine and the only GM product car that I could think of is the delorean but that car is very hard to maintain because I dont want to buy a 60k car thar will make me spend on 60k on repairs when this thing goes 100k miles
unfair sanic I’m old enough to remember the Pontiac Fiero, think it was a little mid engine car, cute as a button, but GM didn’t make improvements and the car was bad from the beginning. Maybe though this Vette will be different, don’t think I’d buy the first few years, my 2017 2.7 Ecoboost F150 has been flawless, but on CZcams people seemed to have a lot of problems with them initially, now it’s the F150’s #1 engine, I have a good friend came to the house, pretty good looking Silverado, had 293k on it, I told him not to get it, way to many miles and that was probably 8 years ago, he drives it everyday, I know GM can build a heck of a engine, figure these things will get hammered daily, just way to much fun not to. If I win the Powerball might even park this Chevy in my drive way, mine and Grammys date and Church car!
I honestly never knew that the side mirrors were different lengths between the left and right side so that’s a first. I’m in love with the two blues and I’m a sucker for blue interior😍😍

Excellent review.
For years, people have debated whether or not the Corvette is a Supercar. The C8 has removed any doubt. And FINALLY, they are doing a RHD version for the UK market. For me, this is the best thing about the new Corvette. That we can now experience the Corvette without the compromises of being on the wrong side of the car is worth the purchase price alone. Thanks guys at Chevy, you have no idea how much this means to Corvette fans in the UK. It's like having every Xmas and birthday present all at once. It's awesome.
Wow, Chevrolet you made it look even better. It's beautiful, makes me want to buy one.
This new 2020 C8 is sold out, you cannot get it.
You need to order the 2021 C8 model and put a deposit with a good and reputable dealer who really has Corvette allocations, otherwise, you will wait forever.
My advice is to wait and not pay the high asking prices as I will predict that many C8 orders will be cancelled and prices will drop and nice discounts will become available.
This will happen because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The financial market is down and many people have lost a lot of money and investments.
Maybe you will disagree with me but only time will tell if my hunch is right or wrong.
@Gus Johnson I disagree, I don't think that it is dead at all.
One huge advantage the Corvette C8 has over the Italian super cars is the price. It is still beyond many car lovers' affordability but it is still a lot more affordable than the over priced Italian and many other sport and super cars.
I bet deep in your heart you would love to have one, right?
I wish I could but as I said it is above my reach.
1:07 It's similar to my mustangs air vents in the front and that thing is smaller and catches so many bugs.... that is going to be a gross surprise for someone during a heavy bug season.
Excellent job...I have a C7 Grand Sport and thinking about upgrading. I also had a C7 Stingray but was never comfortable driving because it was too narrow. The Grand Sport is a bit wider and more comfortable to drive. How wide is the C8?
Thanks for showing me in depth details like seat belt color and frunks instead of wasting time with an in depth performance review.
You can look the stats up anywhere.
One thing I thought was very cool was right in the beginning when he asked the engineer what cars they tore apart to study... And the guy answered honestly. I actually expected that to be "classified". Totally cool that he was honest about that; nothing to hide mentality that was refreshing.
It's generally not a secret that a manufacturer benchmarked other vehicles. It's a common practice. Automakers have admitted who they benchmarked before. It's not often that people actually asked who you benchmarked.

I was skeptical at first, about that mid engine, i have to say, hey i'm old school what can i say. But the more i look at it and the more i hear about its engineering and the more i'm impress with the new Corvette, congratulation to GM.
You could literally not make the previous vettes better on a track without changing where the motor was. It's just physics. When you drive front engine vs mid on a road course, it's night and day how the car behaves. You can brake later and get on the gas earlier in most cases. When the zo6 comes out it will hurt a lot of feelings on nurburgring lap time board

CrimsonStang 720s
Senna is in hyper car level
Just wishful thinking by GM. This car has less performance numbers than the outgoing c7 z06, with less horsepower and a quarter mile time of 11.3 121 mph. The c7 z06 couldn't keep up with the McLaren or Ferrari so why do people think this car can. On paper, performance numbers always look good but in real world performance, Corvette's performance has always been inconsistent.
Pista is a souped up 488 GTB. Something sort of a Huracan Performante from Lamborghini.
The ZO6 will be competing with the new Lamborghini Huracan Evo and the F8 Tributo/488 pista. McLaren 720. Audi R8 V10 plus 2021
The ZR1 will be hypercar level. Competing against the Ferrari SF90 Stradale or the maclaren Senna/P1

I used to think my 2015 Z06 with full Z07 package was the best value, now I have a C8 on order (in the 2020 allocation). Great presentation, would like to see dash layout for track monitoring. Dislike any non-circular steering wheel, but I guess short and or fat guys make it necessary. The driver in this car caused the engineer to get big eyes as he drove with 1 or 0 hands and looking everywhere but forward. Should have shown paddle shifting used properly up and down shifts. Overall great intro and I did not know the soft close feature. Lots of high-tech marvels here. Regardless of 7 speed lovers, those trans ratios were awful, this trans will make you learn how to left-foot brake. Thanks for a great presentation.
