Love my John Lofgren, Devil's Causeway engineers. You're right about them being next-level. Before investing in these I was wearing Frye boots and the difference is night and day!
I have the Lofgren and Wesco ones in your video. I actually like the Mr. Lou boots more than the Lofgren. Attractions makes a nice engineer boot as well. Nicks is also up on my list for engineers.
Have the mr Lou and the lofgrens both are great but you are right lofgrens are so comfortable and well finished my favorite boots if you have high arch and high instep go true to size not half size down
There is a pair of used RW 2966 on sale from Japan for $1650. Buy it now. Also, a pair from Germany in an auction with the current bid equal to $223. With just under four days left. Which I am currently bidding for.
Hello there, good stuff, I have Red wing engineer boots steel toe and I must confess that it's a pain in the ass and make me cry wearing them but now 3 years later they feel like a glove !!!!
I love the looks of the Lofgren engineers. I'm always concerned about fit, because I've heard nightmare stories with engineers but have little experience. I've read that for the Lofgren 1/2 size down from Brannock is ideal I have a moderate width foot at toe box, moderate arch and skinny heel. Any recommendations to allay my fears (first world problem I know!).
Great question! Simply put, it's the result of a specific leather tanning process that "emulates the nuanced break-in of vintage leather by in turn emulating older styles of tanning and finishing leathers". Take a look here for a great article on the finder details: www.heddels.com/2020/03/teacore-leather-whats-it-all-about/
Great video. Just got some red wing 2268 pt91s coming and a friend got me some vintage Herman Bluetags. Can’t wait 😄 I’m new to the engineer boot thing but into the vintage denim, Aero/Eastman leathers and Ray Ban, Persols etc. Time for a boot upgrade 😄 it’s funny because being older I can afford this shit now just staying fit so that everything fits not for health reasons 🤣 Vanity’s a bitch.
I have an answer for you man... i am a great yr follower from Italy, superpassioneted about style. I would like to know about the size...in relationship of red wing 875 the size the john Lofgren is the same, larger or smaller?? only you can safe my choice on the Net (in Italy is not possible find them in shop). Great congratulation for yr work i love it. Best regards.
The first boot looks like a biker type guy or for a guy like you , it's not for everyone , can't wear jeans that's tapper or casual blazer . Had to edit , the 2nd boot is same style as first , it's not for everyone , i would dare to say less than 50% of men wear those , maybe in Texas or Arizona. Well built outside but I'm not in military nor have a horse or motor cycle ..lol
Some brands also made shoes. I have a few pairs of Wolverine 1000 mile shoes and a pair of Red Wing moc shoes. Both models have been discontinued but if you hurry you might be able to score a pair on eBay. Good luck.

Keep up the great content, what western shirt are you wearing in the video? Would be great to see your current shirt collection
Yes, agreed a shirt collection( for me especially denim shirts).
My dad has the exact same red wing boots! Those boots are with own family for more than 30 years
ANOTHER FANTASTIC VIDEO !!! THANK YOU !!!

Loving your enthusiasm. I can't wait to get a pair of John Lofgrens engineers one day.
Thanks so much. 👊 They are amazing.
Engineer boots look amazing, and to their credit can be comfy. I won't put my fellow man through that "clomp, clomp, clomp" anymore though.
Would you put toys mccoys engineers in the mid or end level?
Get Clinch’s Engineers, too
Nice job overall on making this video. Would've been nice if you mentioned today's price for each boot.
perfect timing for this video. i’m currently trying to make a decision on my first engineer boots. so many great brands.
love my Mr. Lou’s from Wesco
Glad I could help! 👊 👊 👊

How’s it going man ? How would you stretch out the instep on some wesco boots ? Boots feel fine but the instep kills me
Sadly I don’t think redwing makes engineer boots anymore
是非、FukurokujuのBootsを履いて欲しい。
Sergei great video once again. What size did you go with in the Lofgrens?
Forgive my ignorance, but can you please briefly explain what t-cor is? I really enjoy your videos. Keep 'em coming!

@@Fjorde Thank you so much!
What about the “Walker”, that was my favorite brand as engineered. Very hard to find now.
You should check out Dundas Footwear! Great boots.

I got a question! Where is that beautiful denim shirt is from?!
It looks like The Flat Head to me.

You need to try Willie’s Leathers from Philippines.
Who makes that denim jacket? Love the western yokes on it.
