The English version was first (from as early as their demos, to Vanishing Vision). The Japanese version came later with the release of Blue Blood. So it's not merely an alternate version. This is the original version. :)
and there is a version that came out on a floppy disk in Rockin'f Magazine, where the lyrics are in English (even though the name says "original Japanese version") and the intro is on piano

歌詞が英語になると平凡な感じするな……。VOWWOWやLOUDNESS聞いちゃうとちょっとね。デモなのかもしれないけど、前2者に比べるとテクニックや音響にも差が感じる。音楽つくるのにリバーブ掛け過ぎってNGなんだけどね。

日本ローカルの記録的セールスばかりがクローズアップされますが
かなり特異な混ぜ物サウンドだったと思います
それとメインストリーム志向の方には今のCrystal Lakeやichikaあたりが優れて聞こえるかも知れません
