    Good laugh watching as the 2 Thais were not concerned at all. I can understand Thai so it's easy for me.
    He was saying "no worries, my brother is out here too, I'll call him on my mobile if I need to"
    The engine was overheating as the oil was leaking. So they waited for the engine to cool down.

    Just as well it was sun up and not sundown..You should buy one of the self-inflatable life jackets for around $100 or less..They fit into a small backpack and would be handy for trips to any of the islands instead of the big orange blocks they provide on the ferries

    @SiamLars Před 4 lety

    I used to go fishing in Phuket. Old wooden boats that reeked of oil. Last time was nice weather, but after lunch black clouds came rolling in. Soon we had heavy wind and rain. Swells picked up big time, and one bad side wave broke the transfer linkage from engine to prop. They didn't have the tools to fix it so we drifted while awaiting help. Everyone got seasick in the high seas, but the only one to feed the fish was the Thai second mate lol. After a couple of hours the owner of the company showed up in speedboat, and the dude dropped his bag of tools in the ocean trying to give it to our captain. Almost died trying to jump on to the speedboat, so that plan was soon canceled. Another fishing boat came to tow us to calmer waters at 2 mph. After an hour or so we finally managed to get on the speedboat and it still took about 30 minutes at 35 mph until we where at the peer, around 9.30pm about 5 hours late. Yeah.. i don't fish anymore..

    Awesome stuff :-) I'm a Sailor and plan to buy a new (old) sailboat... When sailing in SE Asia, sailors are always dodging fishing boats... There are thousands of them... On my boats we have AIS, which is a satellite system that lets other vessels know your location and all of the important information... I've seen only a couple of (Larger) fishing boats with the system, despite it being Required, internationally... Small vessels like this one would never have it... So, Sailors have to keep an eye open for them... Can't wait to sail back to Thailand :-) Oh! There are not many, if any, videos on Sailing to Thailand... Requirements, Public Docks, etc. You might consider making a few... :-)
