Yeah, we literally went from sharing random stories, random photos of the cities we lived in at the time and playing video games & that were things we both enjoyed doing. So, now we’re putting our love for traveling to use, my love for coffee shops ( his love for hot chocolates ) and traveling to places we’ve never been together and just creating new memories 🤎 - Jia

So, what do you have in common...besides video games, shyness?
I won’t lie this is such a hard question to answer. Mainly because there are things we have in common like our love for certain tv shows, movies, learning about different cultures, our communication style, our sense of humor, traveling etc. but im also still learning about him as well so believe it or not there are more things that we might have in common as time passes. So, whilst this video was just about how we met and how we developed from a friendship to a relationship I’m hoping once we film another one of these videos when some time has passed then who knows maybe we won’t be as shy lol

LMFAOOOOO I joined HelloTalk YEARS ago actually but I deleted the app for awhile & once Covid hit and things started shutting down slowly I started just talking to people who were all facing the same issues of lockdown and loneliness. I met one of my best friends on HelloTalk as well!
It was a work trip not through hello talk but with another company and whilst I had like 2 friends in Chicago at the time I wanted to meet someone who was willing to be not only a friend to grab coffee with but explore the city with as well. That was my main reason for messaging Yoo because he had his location turned on.
When my work collab fell through cause of Covid we just kept in contact but at this point we were on HelloTalk anymore but on KakaoTalk.

I never really understand why do a how we met and skip the juicy part or be all shy?. I mean point is we more interested in how you interacted, how you felt like gossip details.
