- In this session I'm back up the creek with my brother Matty Reynolds chasing one last bass for the season. It's starting to cool down in these parts and we're a couple weeks away from closed season, even though you can legally fish above the weirs these days the fishing definitely slows through the cooler months. This session seemed like it was going to be tough with the water temp already cooling down but surprisingly the eats and the action was on point.

Yeah you get out fishing for sure mate.
Sucks missing a fish but a decent cod will snap 15lb every day of the week if it inhaled the lure and is a goer.
Great session though, these bass sessions with cod are my fav for sure
Yeah up until now I’ve had no dramas running 16lb on the jig setup.

i love these missions, i wish there was more public access to these types of places. it's somewhat good that there isn't though, some people just ruin good things

All of the molix lures are just such high quality. I have a couple of the Molix spinnerbaits and they are really nice straight from america

I’m running 20lb mate, I put that jig deep into some nasty stuff at times.
@@LiamFitzpatrick thanks, used 20lb on my SLX XT yesterday and went well. Lightest I've used on my baitcasters, will use as a creek reel. Running 20lb Mega8 Kastking.

Yeah upper Brisbane River, Pine Rivers a couple stocked impoundments worth having a look.
