Heidi is a hoot, and a most excellent person. I had the pleasure of cruising with her on Hazel the Wellbeing boat. A real pro, she is!
I liked your videos when you had your boat, but I like your videos since you sold your boat, and gone to this way much more. I didn't think that was possible. So much to see and learn. Thank you. One of the biggest benefits is seeing the English countryside by boat, seeing all the different people you interview.

I just love the narrow boat pirate. I am so glad you did this documentary. She is such a wonderful lady. Funny also. She's very inspirational for women. I have learned so much about the canals, locks, toe paths. High tunnels and different bridges. I hope to visit your country someday. Just beautiful.

Came onto Heidi's videos from David's, and have now gone back and watched 20 or more of hers. I do believe this is the first video in awhile I haven't heard Heidi mention 'Lock j!zz." Or 'wet the lips' with Kraken or Dead Man's Something or Other. I sincerely do appreciate the uniqueness you both bring into the world.

I keep watching you pilot other people's narrow boats and know Wreyland was a fine lady for your first. You, sir, will own an electric tiny or short narrow boat. You, like many of us, just can't escape the water and boat life. You just have to find the right fit. I've called it. Put my money down! 😂 You'll improve your house, sell it at a profit, and buy your almost-dream-boat (bc who can really afford their actual Dream Boat?). Keep at it, Mr. Johns. You're doing great!

Am really impressed by The Rum Wench's swimming ability. She may have a 3 foot draft but she moves through the water with hardly a ripple even when up to normal cruising speed and also appears to suck very little water back when going through the Llangollen bridges. A good hull design and build no doubt.

When it comes to watching narrowboats you're the only two I ever watch here on CZcams and I'll tell you the rest cannot compare to the content you two put out when it comes to narrowboating, the content that's put out by you and Heidi is highly educational and entertaining plus you guys are not a bunch of conceited airbags that just go on and on about nothing never miss an episode of Cruising the cut and The narrowboat pirate😎👍👍💯🇨🇦🇬🇧

Another fine episode, also following Heidi which is another great channel to follow. There was a distinctive smile when you took the tiller, I see you with a Wilderness Boat one day, towing it around behind the camper van to explore distant waterways :)

I’m enjoying watching as you have discovered the joys of simply being a passenger.
Occasionally helping out of course, but otherwise enjoying the ride, or getting on with other tasks.
There are endless vlogs from the perspective of the pilot/driver, but not much from anyone else onboard - am I making any sense.
I don’t know, it just seems like the overall experience of being a passenger/crew would be really different from that of the pilot/driver/captain. VERY different indeed.
🤔 it’s just a thought, but it is glorious to see you discovering the simple joys of just being a passenger.

Two unrelated and perhaps opposing comments:
1. I do love the sound of those old engines. That 'chug-chug-chug' sound is peaceful and enjoyable.
2. If I could relocate to the canals--it will never happen--I would want to live on a hybrid with a mostly-silent engine.
But more than anything, I enjoy your vlogs because of the sound and video quality. It is clear that being a professional presenter, not just a CZcams influencer, makes your videos far more enjoyable than many I watch...and I spend a LOT of time cruising the cut on CZcams!
