for me the most striking thing about the film was the relative permanence of all the Styrofoam boxes compared to the quite ephemeral human presence that the time-lapse brings out.

Love love this- her accent is mesmerizing=] This is what ASMR is for me=] For someone with a technical mindset- this philosophy better allows you to deconstruct physical and mental constructs or machines, and see the individual parts that form "large systems", and is an exact compliment of "systems thinking". I may be wrong but maybe this is the origin of the popularized meme "good vibes" or "good vibrations". This exposes rhytmanalysis' ability to see both the infinity in the external world and the infinity in the internal world- a sort of double infinity. I would love to see this same analysis done with the famous "la boqueria market" in BCN. This philosophy also mirrors eastern Waabi Saabi zen philosophy. It also has benefits of creating the skills to "quiet the mind" in very noisy spaces- to better separate the signal from the noise. For your average lawyer, financier, philosopher, engineer, doctor, scientist, or architect, LeFebvre is like having a "tuning fork" if you are a piano technician. The eastern philosophy is clear, and to use Mahatma Ghandi's metaphor, even the basic toothpick is in many forms a "machine".
