LOL that trail definitely looked unstable. The views from the drone of the town was nice! And yes that castle definitely doesn't look like it was preserved that much but it was still cool to check out. Thanks for sharing!

Haha the trail, my husband would totally make me go first too 🤣 Gravelly gravel is the worst. I would have taken the turtle trail 🤣 The drone shots really show how high that castle is. I love the old bricks and greenery growing on it. So nice. Everything I think of when I imagine European castle ruins 👌
April had a bad fall years ago on gravely-gravel, so sometimes she is triggered by it, lol. Right?! This was definitely one of our favorite places we visited on this trip!

I went to a castle like this in Karlovac Croatia that is now a hotel so interesting to compare the two. It would be pre-Hapsburg so not sure who built

I’ll gladly visit you in your home anytime!!! Hopefully the drinks aren’t abandoned too. What a cool tour and hike. How did you find this castle? How does it compare to some of the other non-abandoned castles that you’ve been to?
We'll be happy to have you visit! 😀 Only the best Croatian drinks & wine at our "home"! April found it online... We actually tend to prefer the abandoned; something magical and mysterious about them and they are usually much less touristy. We've been to some non-abandoned that we have really enjoyed though
There is much better trail on the front side of the hill... For some reason every youtuber takes this one
