Most of the time it is the lazy bastards but honestly, I agree with it. It felt like such a waste of time taking English every single year of high school when it was just the same thing over and over. Post 10th grade, english class really wasn't useful. Let me actually learn something meaningful instead.

When I was growing up in a Christian and abusive household my AP Bio teacher helped me cope with what was happening even though she didn't know the details or that is even was abusive and come to terms with the fact that I wasn't straight. She's the reason I escaped my household as sane as I am. Thank you Dr. Milks.
When I was 12 I was admitted into hospital due to an eating disorder. I was there for three weeks, and a couple of my friends visited (like, literally _a couple,_ only two came) my year 5 teacher (4th grade) came and visited me. She hadn’t been my teacher for three years and I hadn’t seen her since I left primary school. She didn’t need to visit me, and I didn’t expect her to, but she did. She brought her baby and I got to meet him. It made my day!

After graduation, one of my ex math teachers found me after I got kicked out. They offered me a room to stay and even got in contact with people to help me find a more long term solution. Another teacher offered to get me a senior prom dress, another gave me $50 for necessities… they literally changed my life for the better. Also the teacher rap was way better than jake Paul’s lmao

its honestly insane how nice teachers are, i went out to the hospital earlier this year and was out for two monthes because of a suicide attempt and the staff was so flexible and did everything in their power to help me while i was out of school. my math teacher constantly answered my emails full of questions and set up weekly meetings and she has the sweetest soul. they set up a 504 plan, and to this day still help me get through school and offer support. the last people i would ever EVER want to judge would be the people who have helped me stay here.

While there are definitely flaws in the education system, none of them are the underpaid teachers’ faults.
They are victims of it too, we have the biggest potential to be the best education system in the world yet we aren't.
