- Paul Hogan wasn't the only person the 1986 surprise hit "Crocodile Dundee" launched to stardom. The Australian actor's American co-lead, Linda Kozlowski, likewise catapulted from relative obscurity to the national spotlight with the help of that low-budget comedy.
The acting duo became so inseparable from one another that not only did they go on to star in two more "Crocodile Dundee" films, they also got married. Unfortunately, their greatest success also turned out to be their biggest stumbling block, with neither actor able to escape the gravitational pull of the franchise and break out successfully into new roles. So where is Linda Koslowski now? Let's find out what really happened to this "Crocodile Dundee" star.

What are your thoughts on Paul Hogan?
Before coming to fame as Dundee, Paul had a half-hour show in Australia, "The Paul Hogan Show." It was hilarious.
Don’t know the man, but in his movies he seems quite funny.
@@tyrssen1 agreed.
If you haven't seen "Strange Bedfellows", you have missed a very funny movie.
Hogan. Australian for Man. Jk, but he seems to optimize the embodiment of Australian men. Even better than Mel Gibson.
Paul Hogan was really funny in his Australian shows and in his performance at the Oscars.
The Crocodile Dundee films remain some of my favourites, along with Lightning Jack.
He is a very funny man and I hope he is in good health and enjoying his retirement.
Many thanks to him for all the laughs he gave me, it was a great time to grow up.
God bless and keep him well.
No man can ever forget that derrière in crocodile Dundee...!!!🤗
Absolute fact.
Yes its gone but not forgotten. Dam!!!!
I still remember as a boy!! Made me feel funny lol 😂
Never to be forgotten once seen. Seared on the back of my retina.
Muito gente demorou muitooooo tempo no chuveiro.Tem gente que está pagando as prestações da conta de água até hoje........ A mulher mais bonita e mais gostosa do cinema até hoje.
...this woman'S voice is driving me CRAZY!!
She literally lit up the scream with her charm and gorgeous good looks! Her face was a thing of beauty!
Agree totally, not only that but she also has that kind of “come get me”intense look .haha as far as I’m concern she meet her match,Hollywood or otherwise.anyway 23 yrs i think that was a good run.especially on show business.

I agree, her screaming totally lit me up.
Crocodile Dundee was a wonderful film, which opened up a greater awareness of Australia to the world in general.
He probably never seen a crocodile in his life. A phony like no other/
Koslowski went from dating THE crocodile man to dating a Moroccan tour guide. What an upgrade 😂😂😂😂
‘That’s not a knife..this is a knife’ 🤣🤣🤣 my favorite movies when I was a kid!
Did you know he never said that. He says that's not a nife, that is a nife. 😐
Crocodile 🐊 Dundee film 🎥 is always funny 🤣 the second film wasn't as good as the original.
Her performance (in the first DUNDEE at least), was absolutely breathtaking. The nuance that she brought to that role was incredible. We can see her initially regarding this man as a boastful, toxic male that is purely the subject of a story; then we can read her gradual attraction to this rugged man, we can see doubt, we can see hesitation, and by that last sequence with the stunning soundtrack crescendo, we can see the love in her eyes.
There is a final shot of her face just as Mick grips a pylon to walk to her across the people, and we can clearly see how much she loves him; ALSO - Mick is getting to her in his own inimitable way, and we can see it register on her face, "Of COURSE that's how Mick would get to me!"
It's an amazing performance.
Sharon Stone made her bones in BASIC INSTINCT (1992) long after DUNDEE (1986), but Linda should have been in Stone's shoes by the time 1992 hit, as a known bombshell. She says she "turned down" many roles. Well, that's bad advice from her agent, or bad decisions on her part - so you're playing some funny guy's girlfriend? - that's how you build a career. And then the meaty roles would come along in between the comedies.
She got her-SELF typecast by not accepting anything else. A tragedy. She coulda been a contender...
Yawn yawn yawn , my God you are boring.
100% agree
Thanks for treating Linda and Paul with dignity
Stunningly beautiful and talented. I always wondered about the chemistry and how much it was acting.
Though their relationship started off with controversy, I've always loved Paul and Linda together and like many couples they just grew apart, but I'm so happy they remain friends!
As you go through life, there are moments when you see someone you believe to be the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen. For me it was Raquel Welch, then Olivia Newton-John , and then Linda Kozlowski in Crocodile Dundee. Stunning.
I would add Karen Kopins on that list.
How could you ever not have Kim Novak in your "Concubines"? LoL
Hogan might have been "unknown" in the US before Dundee but he was a living legend in Australia due to the Paul Hogan show.
And here in England.
@@mnbv990 That's right Paul Hogan's England show. I forgot about that.
@@myday805 what was Paul Hogan s UK show?
I met Paul Hogan once. Didn’t like him , not a pleasant man.
@@joannemurdock7899 He was invited to host the Paul Hogan show in England for a while. It was called Paul Hogan's England.
I went to high school with Linda...she was beautiful then and now....funny how life turns out...
Yeah.
Sure ya did, Bucko 😆😊
Don’t forget, she was the lead actress in John Carpenters Village of the Damned and was great in the role.
Thanks for this as I have sometimes wondered what happened with Linda Kozlowski. Watching her in the Crocodile movies, I had a sense she wasn't acting - that she was just being herself. That, to me, is the hallmark of a fine actor. I felt much the same way about Kathryn Hepburn when I saw her alongside Cary Grant in the 1938 film 'Holiday'.
If an actor is merely himself, then all his characters will look and sound the same. That's not the hallmark of a fine actor, it's the hallmark of an actor that doesn't ACT.
(I'm not saying Linda didn't do a great job in Dundee, though. I just completely disagree with your statement about acting.)
She was beautiful for real, she had something special. Classy, smooth, je ne sais quoi. Those eyes. The kind of gal you'd leave your wife and five kids for. Beauty is a destructive angel.
"Both stars were virtual unknowns before 'Dundee?"' No! Not at all! Paul Hogan was already a huge star - both in Australia - and, increasingly worldwide, due to his long-running hit TV sketch show - and advertising cameos promoting Fosters beer. And the "Crocodile Dundee" films were built on his long-established image of a quintessential "typical" Australian (rather like "Barry Mackenzie"), being essentially, "Paul Hogan - the Movie!" These tatty CZcams celebrity profiles, made to sound "authoritative" by people with clearly limited personal knowledge of their subject or experience, are often anything but "authoritative!"
Really feel for Hoges, its one thing to break up with your soul mate but to then lose them half way through a reconciliation (of sorts) late in life would be gut wrenching
Harry was a Croc that used to make planes abort landings at Townsville. Paul was a comedian for years on Saturday night, then 5 nights a week.. Oh he was always well known in Aussie lives. He started work telling jokes while he painted the Sydney Harbour Bridge (which has always been a constant job). Good on ya Paul 👍
Divorce sucks and I wish it on no-one. People change but love should be one of those things that lasts forever. Paul and her I hope will love each other forever. I wish only the best for them and their family.
Yeah I get why Linda quit acting but I'm glad she's happy in her life
I don't understand how "Almost An Angel" didn't do well at the box office, it is an excellent movie.
Obviously people weren't interested in seeing him in that kind of role. Plus the reviews weren't very good, and a lot of people listen to the critics. Even Siskel and Ebert gave it 2 thumbs down
@@chiefscheider Well, Siskel and Ebert mean diddly to me. Some of the movies they raved about,I wouldn't cross the street to see.
Since you only focused on the last part of my comment, I'll repeat the first two parts.
*Obviously people weren't interested in seeing him in that kind of role. Plus the reviews weren't very good, and a lot of people listen to the critics.*
I totally agree. I loved that movie . It was more then a movie it was a message. It still is one of my favorites . Maybe most people just did not get it.
When you realize how everything you think was real has been a media fabrication, you start to look at the past a whole lot differently.
Even an end to a marriage does not mean all feeling is gone.
She still moved on without missing a beat! I'd say she eventually stopped thinking about Paul period.
@@erikturner5073 no, she wouldn't cast him out of her mind. They were together over two decades and have a son.
"The two actors were virtually unknown..." Untrue. Paul Hogan in Australia was known to the entire population and was our foremost comedian. He was routinely on TV doing a comedy segment after a news program. So one of the most famous people in the country.
Unknown in Hollywood was what they meant
Yeah, but Hollywood isn't the whole world. Neither is the USA. Lazy researchers?
@@peterfranklin1759 true, but entertainment news, particularly news focused on movies and TV, is Hollywood centric.
@@LA_Commander Yep, I guess.
Outside of Aus the antipodean was unknown.
Linda Kozlowski was absolutely gorgeous back in those years. Especially in CD. Most Polish women are gorgeous in general of course.
I was in middle school in 1989 and can recall the movie poster. Watched the movie 2 years later . CD 2 took the world by the storm.
It would've been cool if Paul Hogan had had a part in the 'Expendables' series of movies.
Definitely.
They already had a knife guy...lol
The Paul Hogan Show! 😃
And Linda Kozlowski (who played Sue Charlton in Crocodile Dundee) was Paul's wife back then.
Very well done !
I wish that they lived together happily ever after
Paul can't complain, he had a fair go.Remember if we live long enough AGE, comes to us all & she is much younger than him. Also he left his own wife of many years. What comes around goes around.
Yeah 20 years is a big gap.If you find your true Soul-Mate sometimes it can work but cases like that are in the minority.
Yep, poor Noelene.
I agree. Keep away from another mans woman . That cuts both ways.
@Tom Preble I didn’t know that. I guess it was what she wanted at that time otherwise she would’ve booted him out on his ass!
Love the guy but it was pretty shabby way to treat her.
He got seduced by the glitz & excitement of a worldly young American blonde plus all the doors opening for him & one needs to be single to enjoy all aspects on offer.
No way could he have resisted so many temptations & try to be a family man after hours.
He’s very lucky she took him back.
Any idea how long after Linda left did Noeline let him in?
You right . Thanks a lot .
I wish you know h I am .
Just watched this movie that's 11 years older than me... A bit stunned that the main actor and actress actually got married. They looked good on the scream but they are 20 years apart.. And I'm even more stunned to know linda married her tourist guide in morocco after the divorce with paul.. Wowww. The tour guide is a lucky man
I don’t know about your opinions but 25 year marriage is a lifetime in Hollywood in my opinion.
Very nice, I'm glad she is enjoying her new life and adventures.
He left his wife and 5 children, now he knows how his wife felt.
Yep, poor Noelene. She wasn’t a glamour but a stalwart down to earth Aussie mum. Had to hurt, hearing him going off with a hot blonde costar.
Well women leave men quite often for a man with more money.
Good for you Linda. You found a comfortable niche. Enjoy it.
Great movie 🎥🍿 my favorite Linda kozlowski❤🌹
Paul hogan, on an assumed u.k.visit was arguing with Warren Mitchell in a bar, when back home in Aus, the film was shown and hogan was asked, "geez, are all the poms like that?". "No, most of 'em are like his mate". Warren's mate was wearing a Biggles helmet,. I was in aus at the time and both the aussies and the poms were laughing like drains. Paul was discovered by a film crew making a documentary on Sydney Bridge. Many years earlier, my dad helped construct it.
I’ve always thought Linda was so stunning.
She was pretty hot for a while. I wonder what she really looks like today.
Edit: Just checked.. DAM!! STILL HOT 12:00pm.
That's her Slavic decent speaking. Lots of beautiful women from that part of the world.

Paul Hogan was a Sydney Bridge painter before he got to the entertainment business, and since then the bridge has been rusting a bit every year
I enjoyed that! What a lovly couple ans so happy they are contented.
She sure is easy on the eyes ❤.

I loved the Paul hogan show...proper sense of humour..
I LOVE Almost an angel and watch it often!
She was a beautiful lady when she was younger, she probably still is even though there's a lot more of her now.
It's sad that naturally beautiful women like her can't age gracefully. Really sad what she's done to herself.
I'm so tired of people crying that they are not getting work because they are type cast. Take all work and prove that you can do anything. Work in theater and whatever is offered and if you are good and gifted you will be found again.
So true! It would be the same as if I said, "I'm type cast to be a Nursing assistant!" She was well paid, nobody held a gun to her head.

I doubt the whole world knows you are a nursing assistant, genius.
Even your mother probably thinks you are still flipping burgers.
Don't miss her appearance in the Swedish movie "Zorn"!
Grew up here in Fairfield Connecticut - never saw her but graduated from High School couple of years before me.
I absolutely loved and really enjoyed the Crocodile Dundee films.
Easy to say you don't miss something such as acting when the industry has turned it's back on you. Cruel world Hollywood and very dark.
As for Paul Hogan, careful what you wish for as they say, the grass is never greener, now you're all alone...very sad!

All these celebrities are sleeping with each other 🤣
Paul Hogan struck gold with Crokodile Dundee, but his later movies just spiralled downworth.
Pity, but that’s life.
One hit wonder basically. He had no depth to sustain anything else.

It's sad that Paul got so hurt. Life is not always a fairytale. He has a son. He has other kids as well. When we get older, we are lonely because life is no longer easy.
Aussie actors: when you got four or more kids it's time to shop for another store!
Of course we had the Paul Hogan Show in the UK before Crocodile Dundee.
Linda Koslowski was and still is a very beautiful and sexy woman. I always thought she was a very extremely talented and very good actress in fact one of the best I have seen. The fact that Hollywood treated her badly in terms of not giving her a far more successful career than she had shows what Hollywood is about. I am not surprised after working so hard to become a very good and professional actress she was not given the glorious career she deserved she should have gone on and won a lot of best actress awards and nominations I am sure she was that good in my opinnion. Its a loss to the movie world that she did not make it or rather denied by the Hollywood hacks. She only did one good movie a horror movie called village of the damned with Christopher Reeve in the 1990s and that was it. She was excellent in it. I am gutted she did not get the career she deserved. How many great movies with Linda in it as lead role have we missed as movie fans since the 1980s, all because Hollywood had less talented casting directors who did not see her potential. I am not surprised she became disillusioned with Hollywood and left Los Angeles in the 2000s after decades living there in a nice large house living off the success of Crocodile Dundee. She also is a very tough, fearless lady. I don't think any situation or crisis would phase her. All I can say is any man who gets this gorgeous delightful woman in their lives is a very lucky man indeed. Linda Koslowski I love you. I really wish I had seen you or met you. She is the sought of woman you want to meet in your life. Oh well I can watch the movies she is in to appreciate this glorious woman is probably the closest I will ever get to her. I wish I could meet woman like that in my life. I wish you all the best Linda Koslowski I love you.
Women have always been second to the man in careers and the problem here is that the fame went to her head and she thought she was worth more. Nobody is indispensable and only established big stars can get away w turning down work once in awhile to try to keep their careers on track. Someone who may have talent, who gets a boon w one major role opposite a star, doesnt have the luxury of picking roles.
Maybe she said hell no to Harvey Weinstein at the time gotta wonder
Steady on, mate - I’d recommend changing your Y-fronts, too!
You are infatuated wow
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take .
No one has mentioned Linda's role in the television miniseries Favorite Son, which aired on NBC from October 30 to November 1 in 1988. She did a fantastic job of acting in that show. I'll never forget it because one of the episodes aired on Halloween and I was constantly interrupted by trick-or-treaters while watching it.
She was also in the remake of 'village of the damned with kirsty alley and Christopher reeves
The Lone Ranger,,,,, Glad i`m not the only to remember Favourite Son , she gave a real good performance in that series..
I still love these 2 movies
Still have to see the 3rd.
Paul Hogan before he made Crocodile Dundee had a beautiful hot wife with 2 kids.
When he made the movie"Crocodile Dundee" Paul Hogan hooked up with his HOT co-star Linda Kozlowski.
So he left his wife and kids for her.In which it gave Linda Kozlowski a very bad reputation to the world and ended her acting career.
Life goes on!
4:38 “bringing in a measly 1.6 million dollars DOMESTICWEE?” Lmao
What happened to her... she got old like the rest of us.
I always felt that the affair between Paul and Linda, leading to him divorcing his wife with 5 kids, tarnished the charm of the whole CROCODILE DUNDEE franchise with Linda tagged as a mercenary homewrecker. She obviously got some bad career advice thinking that she could "turn down lots of stuff where I'd play the girlfriend of some funny man." 90% of actresses get cast in roles playing the girlfriend of some leading man, or the girlfriend of the leading man's sidekick, or the girlfriend of the leading man's archrival. That's Hollywood.
It doesn't tarnish those movies for me at all. They're an escape for an hour or two, and the personal lives of the actors don't enter my mind. As for the affair, it takes two to tango.
Yeah but 90% of actresses probably need the money and exposure.
She probably didn't.
There was a special attraction between Linda and Paul that came through making the 1st movie great and the 2nd pretty good as well. That kind of attraction and love can't be denied. Linda should have picked up another side role as the girlfriend, then gone after a terror thrlller or such next. She had the acting chops, but she had that pretty woman image that didn't lend itself to other roles, without a shock script. Hogan's Dundee character was so compelling; Saloane would have never made it up the line, the way he did, without returning to Rocky, or his breakout with First Blood. Linda's character role in CD was perfectly scripted and well played. To turn that out another time, would be tough.

Hogan mentioned that they were opposites in just about everything, from food to God knows what. I come across situations described like that, in my own life experience, in my view it may well work out for so many years, or certain length of time. I feel for you...acting must be an uncertain profession, and therefore very stressful. The few who "make it" in a big series or movies are pretty well set, but I suspect the vast majority of actors/actresses wait in anticipation for the casting call abd call backs. I have great admiration for actors and actresses, especially in modern times. I've "watched" from the golden era of 50's & 60's, and acting has only gotten better, along with writing and production.
