Still to this day I am obsesseddddddd with the multicolour monogram!! I seriously genuinely wish that they never stopped this collab. It will forever be iconic! Fun vlog! 💕😊
Morning! I have to say, I absolutely love these types of vids. Along with your “fashion news”… they are almost like a mini fashion podcast which is perfect for when I’m cleaning or say drinking coffee and getting ready for work (like I am right now). I find them so interesting/informative and fun. You’re the best💋
* gasp* I will always ALWAYS hold the Murakami LV collection close to my heart. They dropped around when I was a freshman in high school and ALLLLL of the it girls had a multicolored pocchette accessoires slung over their shoulder. I dreamt of the day that I too could carry one, and at the time saved up all of my babysitting money to buy a Coach shoulder bag with buckle (that I still have 20 years later.) That iconic Louis Vuitton “it” bag was what drew me to luxury fashion in the first place, and it’s making me realize that I need to add a bit of vintage nostalgia back onto my wishlist and finally make it mine 💕
Thank you for sharing this - I love these sorts of stories!! It’s pieces like this that really introduced people to luxury fashion and got them excited!
I still have and carry my Celine nano luggage tote in the bright red. I know it’s not as “hot” as it once was but I still love it so much! Feels like a classic to me at this point. I also have some other oldies that I still adore: the Chloe Drew, Prada Cahier, Gucci Soho Disco to name a few 😜
The nano luggage 😍 a classic! I also still love the Drew and Prada Cahier - although the Cahier is still produced by the maison so i'm not sure it's an oldie , it's just not as hot as it was.
I LOVE fashion history with Cassie!!! I don't know much about previous trends because I only got into bags about 5 years ago. You explain it so well too!
You could not separate me from my Stam bag in the early 00's. I actually bought a pre-loved Spy after seeing Rihanna with it. I couldn't afford it back then, so I'm reliving my 20s with it now 😄
I bought the LV Marilyn in the white multicolour 4 years ago pre loved, it’s my favourite bag just to look at. It sparks joy! If 15 year old me only would have known that I own it one day she would have gone crazy 😂
The YSL muse bag had my heart back in the day. I used to drool over it whenever I saw ladies walking down fifth avenue with it. I finally decided to go ahead and buy one just for nostalgia especially since I’ve noticed that BBE is back. I have zero regrets. Ive been seeing other ppl wearing their muse bags out and about in the city and I saw Kathy Hilton on real housewives of beverly hills rocking her muse bag! I hope it comes back out. So happy to see that the muse bag made your list!!!
I wore my lv x murakami pochette accessories around downtown toronto. the amount of glances and stares I got on the bag was insane! I even heard one lady say to her husband “omg! I have that!” 😂 she’s truly an icon. mean girls (the movie) also made me buy it. definitely a forever bag in my collection!
I sold my Celine Phantom Luggage (size medium) last week. She was too heavy for me and she taught me I always need a crossbody or shoulder option. Also, motorcycle/city bags for the win! I have 2 in different sizes and the Olsen effect is all too real - the more you wear them, the cooler they look! I’m actually planning on a 3rd city bag… birthday is coming 👀 Have a nice week, Cass!
The Balenciaga City and Celine Luggage are such great bags and I don't see myself ever getting rid of them. The Marc Jacob's Era of LV for women's accessories has to be one of the best in fashion history, just my humble opinion. Great content Ca$$!🤗
Aw❤❤❤ my LV Multicolore Lodge gm was the first designer bag I ever owned, I still have it 😊 the LV Murakami collections will forever have a hold on me. Amazing video Cassie!!!! You are always a delight!!!!
so much respect to mary kate for actually using her bags. i understand wanting to keep your belongings in good condition but at the same time it’s not a museum exhibit, like use your stuff. you spent enough on it, use it! be looking like they stole the purse from their mom’s closet lol. love your videos so much cassie!❤️❤️
A murakami multicolor black background lv bag was my first luxury bag. I still have it, love it and wear it on occasion. I think it definitely doesn't look on trend or the it bag but it doesn't look out of place either. Great video Cassie!
Totally agree with you about the LV multicolor collection. I have a few pieces and they bring me so much joy. Just seeing the pics of them in your video makes my ❤️ skip a beat. Great video as always! Have a wonderful day 🌞
I would never wear Murakami multicolored but I feel that it is so important that I had to have a teeny tiny part of the collection. I treasure my small agenda cover. Professor Cassie is in the house delivering a history lesson
Would love to see more of the videos of what it bag deserves re-release (plus possible tweaks/upgrades) or redesign a dated bag that didn’t do well in its OG release but would be an it bag today.
Loved it! The LV During MJ‘s reign was epic. Me poor medical student then couldn’t afford it! Probably why I can’t get enough of LV! Mary Kate Olsen is soooooo cool! She could be ice. The story with her bag is just the sweetest. Great content!
Ended this on such a high note! I am smiling just hearing about the multicolor monogram. It brings nothing but joy to me. I have a speedy in the white (passed down by my mother) and everytime I take it out I feel bright ✨
Many of these bags were of my handbag era. I still own my Fendi baguette, my Murakami bags, my Marc Jacobs. I got rid of my Balenciaga bags and Paddington. But I remember when the Murakami bags dropped and they were sold out at the LV stores in NYC, with waiting lists. I remember going to parties and seeing girls like Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan carrying their Balenciaga bags and immediately buying my own. I remember when the MJ store would have a random sales and clear out bags for like $50 and word would spread across the city and masses would turn out to his SoHo store. Dior Girly bags had a huge moment too and later on independent brands like Botkier with their Trigger bags and Mulberry. What a great era for design, it was such fun times!
OMG! I love the video so much! I am really into vintage / preloved so it was soooo inspirational. And I am excited I have so many late "it bags" In my collection (and got all of them in a fraction of a price 😅). My most favorite is my Balenciaga City - adore her! I also enjoy vintage Baguette and denim Saddle from Galliano era 😍😍😍. Love my Stam in petrol - I got so many compliments and the kiss lock??? The best thing ever! My pride and joy is HL speedy in multicolor ❤ It is a gem. Thank you again for the most amazing video. Keep going girl. 💕
i love this series about it bags. I'm all about it. unrelated: please please check out a brand called Trussardi. there's a bag they have called Owena that I think is so stunning. It's been around for a hot minute but I'm growing intrigued by it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Memories! if you didn’t have a baguette or saddle you were no one! 😂👏🏼I went through a few myself at the club!🥵 for crossbody it was the Prada nylon messenger 😉 still have it, don’t use. Damn I loved those handheld heavy bags! & little shoulder were the thing. Great video Cassie! I’ll stay positive these Y2K bags will stay IT for ever too! Haha🤞🏼😅😎😘
You're spot on with these video Cassie! I just cannot get into the luggage tote, paddington vibe even at the height of its popularity! But like MK, I own the Balenciaga first for years!!! I have 2 of them, yellow and black and LOVE to this day!!! Both are beaten up and it add to its character. My LV multicolor deauville is my price possession. I just used it when I was in Vegas and felt great carrying it. One that I also love but you did not mention is the Bottega intrecciato hobo. It'll forever be in my collection and uses it a lot. But I don't really follow trends. Anyway, THANK YOU for this video. Love the 90s !!!
Your Cavalli body-suit is everything! Excellent video and choices! My luxury addicted take on a few of the mentioned bags. I liked the Fendi Spy, but instead I purchased the Fendi Mia for the logo it shared with the Fendi Baguette. My four Celine Luggage totes are still my ride or die work bags. They ride, never die! I'm surprised they still receive so many compliments. My YSL Muse in calf hair ~ no longer carry, just admire it. The Padlock bag was too heavy, gave it away. The OG City Bag in orange, never lets me down. The LV Murakami was too popular ~ glad I held out for the Stephen Sprouse collection. Dior Saddle, have no idea why I have not purchased it even though I adore it! Another fav of mine was the large YSL Downtown Tote in the patent and metallic leathers. They are my forever travel bags - hold so much, indestructible, zip top, easy to wipe off, expandable front pocket and folds up. This bag was the YSL Icare bag of the late 2000's...large, chic, and if you knew - you knew. 😉
I actually saw the multi-color louis vuitton bag in a famous teenager movie called the "Mean Girls". It was one of the really iconic movies! One of the trend in that movies are those small tiny LV purses. I actually think it's a really nice style. Keep on working Cassie, nice video!
The multi color LV monogram is and will always be one of my favorites. I'm just not a Balenciaga fan, there hasn't been anything from them that I have been ohhhh I wish,I want, I need! Anyway great video as always, ciao from Italy/ Jersey bella 😘
I have quite a few of the bags mentioned because that was the era when I really got into handbags. My favourite is the white Speedy Murakami. Mine looks almost new. My local LV store was stunned when they saw mine when it needed to be taken in for a repair. The red color of the interior had ruined the front pocket. I really hope the Spy bag will come back too, I was a bit late to the game when I bought mine. Same with the Celine Luggage (that weighs a ton and in that way I regret the purchase). I still have my beautiful Chloe Paddington too, such a great bag.
Oh the LV Murakami collections. I have a few of those in my bag collection. That has always been my most favourite collection that they did. Wish I bought more at the time 💜💚
@@CassieThorpe I also loved the Yayoi Kusama LV collection. The old ones were my favourite. I still have my Celine luggage bags, my yellow one has terrible colour transfer though. I don’t part with many of my bags, I have to keep them for nostalgia
This video had me reminiscing back to my 20’s. 😂 The Celine Luggage Bag AKA Celine Monster bag! OMG! I vividly remember when it was having its hey-day! I wanted it in the cobalt blue so bad but could never get my hands on it! That bag was always sold out! I’m actually glad I wasn’t able to get it cause I thought it would become a classic. It looks so dated now. About a month ago, a lady walked past me carrying one while in Saks and I chuckled to myself. I felt like I was in a time capsule while eyeballing hers. It’s hard to believe how popular it once was. One goodie that should be on this list is the Gucci Horsbit hobo! That bag was everywhere and was in just a big of demand as the Celine Monster bag! I saw it so much, it annoyed me! 😂 I enjoyed this stroll down memory lane, Cass!
Every time I see the luggage bag all I notice is 'the face' lol. LOVE the multicolor LV and wish and hope all the time that they'd bring it back!! I still like the Balenciaga motorcycle city bag...🤦🏼♀.I had one in baby blue and gave it away and I wish all the time I had it back. Thanks for the video Cassie! 😃
Honestly, you just can’t beat an OG It Bag!!! 😍 Australia didn’t have any of them available back then but I was lucky enough to be one of the first to have the MJ Stam Bag in Australia when this boutique flew 5 in from NYC! 😍 It was my first designer bag that started it all - I even used it to carry my groceries, there was no way I was going to be caught dead with those green bags back in the day! 😂 My friend had a Fendi Spy & it was very IYKYK back then as a lot of ppl didn’t know about it or could get it! I was lucky enough to still be working at LV when Multicolore was around & it really was such a nostalgic era!!! Marc Jacobs just pushed boundaries back then with LV! Even the campaigns & editorials were just so shiny, delicious & FABULOUS!!! I hope there’s a part 2 to this!!! I could talk about IT Bags all day long!!! Love your work Cassie!!! ❤🙌
ahhh loved this video!!🥰 I'm blown away by how much you know every time and I just really enjoy learning from you. And YESSS the multicolor LV monogram, forever a favorite🔥
I had completely forgotten about that Marc Jacobs bag! Also I remember all the bloggers having that Celine bag and I agree with you, it doesn't look dated at all. The monochrome ones in a smaller size still look great.
Not sure if I like most of these IT bags except for a few like the F Baguette, The D saddle and the LV multicolor ones. It would still be interesting to see if they revamp these bags with a twist to fit in the current trends
that multicolor monogram was one i had a fake of as a child and now as a grown up i still want one.. i debate buying it on the preloved market probably weekly
Love ❤️ the Moto cross ( Balenciaga) & the Chloe luggage 🧳 tote 👜 ! Love 💗 your eye makeup 💄, very holographic ( almost) & fall festive and pretty 😍, with the leopard 🐆 turtleneck, I just realized leopard 🐆 & purple/ pink & hint of orange 🍊 are gr8 together! Plus it suits you really well. Hugs 🤗, Amy
Lmao i dont know whats wrong with me Cassie but i blame YOU 😼 - ive been wanting a new, largish slouchy dark-colored bag for fall/winter and been looking to no avail-nothing really grabbed my heart-and then this morning i was like 'ooh new Cassie vid" and sat down to watch and the Spy bag came on. I knew of the bag, i liked it when it was hot but never pulled the trigger, and then it seemed to fade away... anyhoo when u showed it i was like THAT IS MY FALL BAG. I literally paused the video to go do some internet sleuthing, and i'm happy to say a lovely pre-owned Spy in great condition in a dark taupey-brown is winging her way to me as i type 🥰 Its probably crazy, but as soon as you showed it i was like, yes!! Thanks for the inspo! :) 💋
I love the LV monochrome and the Celine bag seeing all those bags and the way we dressed back then is brill brings back good memories I loved the simple life 😂great video Cassie ❤
In the 00s when I was in my teens, our IT bags were the Marc Jacobs-Hillier, Chloe-Paddington, OG Balenciaga- City Bag, Mulberry Alexa (Alexa Chung was the ultimate IT girl)
Cassie!!!!! Girl! This whole video gave me the craziest Nostalgia ever! Wow every bag you showed were absolutely IT bags. That whole era was IT! I remember every picture with every celebrity wearing the bags because we were all wearing them. Loved this video. You nailed it!
I love the balenciaga city/motorcycle bag. I’ve been looking for the best pre-loved one to live out my early 2000’s fantasy lol and I want a fendi spy bag and LV monogram lol. For those of us who’s parents couldn’t afford it back in the day lol.
Agree with everything. I've also noted a trend away from heavy bags. Women want lighter weight leathers and materials. I think we got spoiled with how weightless crossbody bags are, and now many women don't care to lug around a heavy bag. Especially during travel season. Great video as always
Gosh this video was such a blast from the past 😅 I agree with everything you said, the only one you’re missing is the Alexander wang Rocco duffel bag. Everyone and their neighbours had one (or a knock off)
I have always wanted the classic Chanel flap bag, but the one I really wanted was the LV Marimekko in white. I bought an almost identical copy --but the catch was it did not have the LV logo. I can't believe how many people thought it was real! I bought at a Contempo for $20! It was gorgeous and I loved it like it was the real thing! LOL Sadly, I wore it out withing six months and had to get rid of it.
Another amazing video lovely Cassie. OMG these bags brought back such memories. I had the Chloe Paddington and Stam bags, the YSL Muse and the Fendi spy bag. Oh how I loved them back then. I wouldn't like to carry the Paddington around now with that heavy lock that's for sure. I think I still have a couple of Stam bags stored away somewhere. 😅 What memories. Thank you. Much love to you, Nii and your wonderful parents. Jenni from Australia. XXXX
Interesting selection, The Gucci Jackie bag an honourable mention❤. Was always in 2 minds about getting that Balenciaga city bag and then I went to Morocco and bought a hand made version. Need to dig it out😳❤.
when I finished high school and started university, I saw many international students at school wearing multicolor "LV." At the time, I wasn't into fashion let alone knew what the heck Louis Vuitton was. However, after seeing them literally EVERYWHERE, it grew on me and I researched and that's when my love for LV and luxury in general started. I may love many different brands (and different LV styles), but the Murakami multicolor line will always have a special place in my fashion-obsessed heart. I would love your opinion about Iconic and trendy LV pieces throughout the decades. I think that would be a wonderful video idea. Love u Cassie :)
Yaaaas takashi murakami multicolour collection is elite and timeless and will ALWAYS be IT! 🤌🏾 That’s right! Balenciaga motocycle is timeles, not sure why but is just is especially with that vibrant golden studs from back in the day! Just gorgeous! But all these other bags look like they were made even before early 2000 lol they look so dated 🥲😫 BUT I would always choose them over what’s it’s made today. At least they were not melting or cracking in your hands after 20 minutes of use! 🤓😎
Ha, this was like my life in It bags!!! The only two I did not own are Fendi Spy and LV. (You left out Mulberry Roxanne....that may have been the first one, though it's well dead in the water 😂). And indeed, back in the day, crook of the arm was the way to carry your bag, crossbody was wildly out!! Also any size less than jumbo classic flap was out out out. Advantage: I had my babies in 2007 and 2009 and could simply wear my It Bag as a nappy bag 😂😂😂.
I own the ysl muse bag and the city bag from Balenciaga,🙈🙈 I still wear these bags.. 😖😖🙊 at this moment I'm still hunting for a fendi spy bag.. 🤣🤣 Great video as always! 💗💗👍
I have the mini Stam bag it only has a chunky chain strap, I still get compliments on it. I was obsessed with the original version but had to settle for the mini. I don't regret it one bit! I agree that it should be remade. As for the LVxMurakami... it will forever be ICONIC!
Just want to say a huge thank you! I was watching an older video where you mentioned The Restory. I sent a pair of shoes to them, and they just got back yesterday. They are perfect! Thank you for the recommendation.
I feel that really good design is timeless. Think: Eero Saarinen, Gio Ponti, Bonnie Cashin, Halston etc. The padlock on newer Givenchy Antigona bags is reminiscent of the lock on the Chloe Paddington bag in scale. Part of the charm of an older bag is definitely nostalgic. I’ve been collecting vintage clothing for many years, mostly Western wear (yee-haw!) and it’s pretty dated, but it’s also cool as hell.
Great bag choices! Fendi baguette & Balenciaga city bags are definitely timeless classics👏 Wow i just realised have all of these bags, except for Dior saddle & Mar Jacobs Stam bags.. Muse bag also comes in small size, i have it. It was extremely hard to get back in the day, like getting a Birkin or Kelly nowadays😂
Very insightful. I'm only in the luxury handbag family since one year and it was quite interesting to learn a bit about the past :-) Thank you very much for it.
I have been lucky to find both the Chloe Paddington and a Marc Jacobs Stam bag in charity shops in the last couple of years. I used the Stam bag regularly and would love another. Everything comes back in fashion if you wait so when they do I’m prepared!
OG It Bags are destined become dated because they define an era. It makes everyone say, "remember when", even in the best ways
But some have stood the test of time better than others 😍
@@CassieThorpe personally, I love the nostalgia 🥰
Still to this day I am obsesseddddddd with the multicolour monogram!! I seriously genuinely wish that they never stopped this collab. It will forever be iconic! Fun vlog! 💕😊
FOREVER!!
I know! I really wish I had bought something when it was in stores. Now they are so expensive on the pre loved market 😩
I a pochette accessorie in multi color two years ago and the colors and pattern make me so happy ❤ also for nostalgic reasons

I so agree the LV multicolor will forever be an it bag. I have the Pochette in black and multi color and I love it!
I’m jealous!!

The nano luggage 😍 a classic!

You could not separate me from my Stam bag in the early 00's. I actually bought a pre-loved Spy after seeing Rihanna with it. I couldn't afford it back then, so I'm reliving my 20s with it now 😄
As you should 😉
I’m doing the same, couldn’t afford them back then…….collecting them now……same with gamers collecting their youth games haha
I bought the LV Marilyn in the white multicolour 4 years ago pre loved, it’s my favourite bag just to look at. It sparks joy! If 15 year old me only would have known that I own it one day she would have gone crazy 😂

LV multicolor will forever be my favorite. That speedy just hits different.
🤤🤤
what I like about the 'dated' designer bags is that they rarely had any logos. it was mostly a 'if you know, you know' moment
I will forever be thankfull to my mom for giving me all her LV multicolour pieces. I always get compliments when I wear them 💕
😍😍😍
I sold my Celine Phantom Luggage (size medium) last week. She was too heavy for me and she taught me I always need a crossbody or shoulder option.
Also, motorcycle/city bags for the win! I have 2 in different sizes and the Olsen effect is all too real - the more you wear them, the cooler they look! I’m actually planning on a 3rd city bag… birthday is coming 👀 Have a nice week, Cass!
It’s definitely one of those bags that looks better the more you use them 😍
Ohhhhh this was such a good 90s/Y2k deep dive, Im a sucker for geeking out on fashion history...Thanks so much for all the cool insight Queen xx
Glad you liked it!!
The Balenciaga City and Celine Luggage are such great bags and I don't see myself ever getting rid of them. The Marc Jacob's Era of LV for women's accessories has to be one of the best in fashion history, just my humble opinion. Great content Ca$$!🤗
Marc was perfect for women’s LV 😭💖
The Balenciaga Motorcycle is top of my 'want list' 😍 I can't wait to wear it with my skinny jeans and be laughed out of town 😂
YES SUZANNE I LOVE ITTT

That is so ICONIC
I love the way you give the history of the brand with your awesome reviews ❤❤
So glad you like that!
Love my Murakami Pochette. Will wear it till I die. If I remember correctly LV was struggling and this collection got them back on the fashion radar.
Totally agree with you about the LV multicolor collection. I have a few pieces and they bring me so much joy. Just seeing the pics of them in your video makes my ❤️ skip a beat. Great video as always! Have a wonderful day 🌞

Omg an agenda cover?! That’s my dream!!
I got one of the small Chloe Paddington bags. In real life it’s quite mesmerising. No idea why tho 🤷♀️
Would love to see more of the videos of what it bag deserves re-release (plus possible tweaks/upgrades) or redesign a dated bag that didn’t do well in its OG release but would be an it bag today.
Adding this to my list!
Loved it! The LV During MJ‘s reign was epic. Me poor medical student then couldn’t afford it! Probably why I can’t get enough of LV!

That MJ Stam bag is new to me 😍 might have to hunt that baby down in the teal color. 100% agree that MJ should consider reissuing it!
😍😍

🙌🏽💖
Omgggg I’m jealous of your speedy!! 😍😍
Oh the LV Murakami collections. I have a few of those in my bag collection. That has always been my most favourite collection that they did. Wish I bought more at the time 💜💚
An amazing collection!
@@CassieThorpe I also loved the Yayoi Kusama LV collection. The old ones were my favourite. I still have my Celine luggage bags, my yellow one has terrible colour transfer though. I don’t part with many of my bags, I have to keep them for nostalgia
Dior Saddle Bag and Fendi baguette have my heart I’ll wear them forever and ever 😍 I want a LV multicolor monogram nano speedy still!!
You and me both 😍😍
This video had me reminiscing back to my 20’s.
Omggg how could I forget that one!
The face on the luggage really does just stare at you 😂
The Celine luggage bag is still bag goals for me lol
I love your feedback on these styles. You may not carry them yourself but you don’t slam them either. Nicely done! Fun video! 👏🏼
Thank you!
Loved this video! I forgot about the face on the Celine bag until you said it and now it’s all I see!
😂😂🙈
Ugh what a time that was!! Marc was amazing at LV 😍😍😍
ahhh loved this video!!🥰 I'm blown away by how much you know every time and I just really enjoy learning from you. And YESSS the multicolor LV monogram, forever a favorite🔥
You’re so lovely!! Thank you 💖💖
I had completely forgotten about that Marc Jacobs bag! Also I remember all the bloggers having that Celine bag and I agree with you, it doesn't look dated at all. The monochrome ones in a smaller size still look great.
🙌🏽💖
Not sure if I like most of these IT bags except for a few like the F Baguette, The D saddle and the LV multicolor ones. It would still be interesting to see if they revamp these bags with a twist to fit in the current trends
Let’s keep our eyes open 👀
that multicolor monogram was one i had a fake of as a child and now as a grown up i still want one.. i debate buying it on the preloved market probably weekly
I think you have to get it soon 😍
Love ❤️ the Moto cross ( Balenciaga) & the Chloe luggage 🧳 tote 👜 ! Love 💗 your eye makeup 💄, very holographic ( almost) & fall festive and pretty 😍, with the leopard 🐆 turtleneck, I just realized leopard 🐆 & purple/ pink & hint of orange 🍊 are gr8 together! Plus it suits you really well. Hugs 🤗, Amy
Ahh thanks Amy!
I hope LV will produce Murakami monogram again…love it so much 🌈
Lmao i dont know whats wrong with me Cassie but i blame YOU 😼 - ive been wanting a new, largish slouchy dark-colored bag for fall/winter and been looking to no avail-nothing really grabbed my heart-and then this morning i was like 'ooh new Cassie vid" and sat down to watch and the Spy bag came on. I knew of the bag, i liked it when it was hot but never pulled the trigger, and then it seemed to fade away... anyhoo when u showed it i was like THAT IS MY FALL BAG.
I literally paused the video to go do some internet sleuthing, and i'm happy to say a lovely pre-owned Spy in great condition in a dark taupey-brown is winging her way to me as i type 🥰
Its probably crazy, but as soon as you showed it i was like, yes!! Thanks for the inspo! :) 💋
Omggg you are QUICK!! The heart wants what it wants 😉💖💖💖
@@CassieThorpe it does 😎 im still getting the new gray Fendi fleece Mon Tresor, but i had to finally gey my Spy 🥰
I love the LV monochrome and the Celine bag seeing all those bags and the way we dressed back then is brill brings back good memories I loved the simple life 😂great video Cassie ❤
The simple life was AMAZING 😂🙌🏽
Cassie, you're awesome! I could just listen to you all day! Honestly, I love every subject you do videos on so I guess its YOU I come to hear!! :)
You’re so kind! Thank you 🥹💖
I loved those YSL bags that had the Y on them. I remember a small tote type bag that had a metal Y clasp. Just stunning.
😍😍
In the 00s when I was in my teens, our IT bags were the Marc Jacobs-Hillier, Chloe-Paddington, OG Balenciaga- City Bag, Mulberry Alexa (Alexa Chung was the ultimate IT girl)
Gosh she really was!
I think the Chanel CF and the lady Dior fall in the same category with the Fendi Baguette and the Dior saddle.. loved the idea😍
🙌🏽💖
Chloè Paddington bag is the "it" bag for clubbing or nightouts- massive padlock can be use as a secret weapon and no one will thought of it! 😜
Ahhh that’s the reason!
Cassie!!!!! Girl! This whole video gave me the craziest Nostalgia ever! Wow every bag you showed were absolutely IT bags. That whole era was IT! I remember every picture with every celebrity wearing the bags because we were all wearing them. Loved this video. You nailed it!
That era was everything!!!
@@CassieThorpe yes it was!
I love the balenciaga city/motorcycle bag. I’ve been looking for the best pre-loved one to live out my early 2000’s fantasy lol and I want a fendi spy bag and LV monogram lol. For those of us who’s parents couldn’t afford it back in the day lol.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Agree with everything. I've also noted a trend away from heavy bags. Women want lighter weight leathers and materials. I think we got spoiled with how weightless crossbody bags are, and now many women don't care to lug around a heavy bag. Especially during travel season. Great video as always
Yes I completely agree!
I love this video, it's like a luxury Y2K blast from the past recap lol
😂💖
This video was just so good. 👌
Aww thank you!!
I can't keep my eyes off the Jo Malone candle and worry about your bags next to it😂
I’ve never lit that candle so they’re safe 😂
Cassie, you need to design your own Cassie bag! You have the best eye!
Maybe one day 😂💖
I still have, love and use all my Murakami pieces. The Marc Jacobs era of LV will never be beaten.
So true 🙌🏽
I saw on Farfetch that Marc Jacobs release a re-edition version of the Natasha bag, which was pretty iconic too.
Oohh!!
Gosh this video was such a blast from the past 😅 I agree with everything you said, the only one you’re missing is the Alexander wang Rocco duffel bag. Everyone and their neighbours had one (or a knock off)
My gosh how could I forget!
XXXX
Cassie I can’t have my morning coffee with out your videos 😅❤ now I’m going to find my daughter one of the LV bags it is a happy collection.
Hahaha I’m glad I’m a part of your morning routine and you’re an amazing mum 🤩
Interesting selection, The Gucci Jackie bag an honourable mention❤. Was always in 2 minds about getting that Balenciaga city bag and then I went to Morocco and bought a hand made version. Need to dig it out😳❤.
The Gucci Jackie is a classic to me 😍
And again a fantastic video..I love everything you show us…thank you❣️🙏🏻
Wishing you a wonderful day!
when I finished high school and started university, I saw many international students at school wearing multicolor "LV." At the time, I wasn't into fashion let alone knew what the heck Louis Vuitton was.
I love that that’s the collection that started your interest 🤩🤩 and I love that idea!
They were indestructible!!!
How our arms survived I do not know 😂😂
Love multicolour Lv D gorgeous collection ever. It will nice if this collection will be back again ❤️
Girl, I’m still rocking my LV Multi color bags 😂❤️. And still get compliments 👍🏾
As you should!!
I own the ysl muse bag and the city bag from Balenciaga,🙈🙈 I still wear these bags.. 😖😖🙊 at this moment I'm still hunting for a fendi spy bag.. 🤣🤣
Great video as always! 💗💗👍
🥳🥳🥳💖
I have the mini Stam bag it only has a chunky chain strap, I still get compliments on it. I was obsessed with the original version but had to settle for the mini. I don't regret it one bit! I agree that it should be remade. As for the LVxMurakami... it will forever be ICONIC!
love that you’re collecting compliments with her 😍😍
I wish marc jacobs would bring back the stam bag. The small size is very cute.
🙌🏽🙌🏽
YES to the Balenciaga City bag's perpetual cool! 🤘🏼😎 (I held my breath through that bit, just in case) 😂💕
I like to keep you on your toes 😉
I LOVE my City bag, my Spy bag AND my Mini Paddington 🥴
🥳🥳
My ysl lipstick monogram bag is timeless, imho.
Agree the motorcycle bag is a classic.
Great topic. Just about handbag university 😂😂😂
🙌🏽💖
Just want to say a huge thank you! I was watching an older video where you mentioned The Restory. I sent a pair of shoes to them, and they just got back yesterday. They are perfect! Thank you for the recommendation.
Yayyy!! They’re amazing!!
I was so scared at the end!!!
😂😂
I feel that really good design is timeless. Think: Eero Saarinen, Gio Ponti, Bonnie Cashin, Halston etc. The padlock on newer Givenchy Antigona bags is reminiscent of the lock on the Chloe Paddington bag in scale. Part of the charm of an older bag is definitely nostalgic. I’ve been collecting vintage clothing for many years, mostly Western wear (yee-haw!) and it’s pretty dated, but it’s also cool as hell.
Love that 💖
This should be a series!
👀👀
Great bag choices! Fendi baguette & Balenciaga city bags are definitely timeless classics👏
Wow i just realised have all of these bags, except for Dior saddle & Mar Jacobs Stam bags..
Muse bag also comes in small size, i have it. It was extremely hard to get back in the day, like getting a Birkin or Kelly nowadays😂
Love that you have most of these!!
I love all of them still 😩 you look amazingly gorgeous my favorite 🥰
😭💖
Very insightful. I'm only in the luxury handbag family since one year and it was quite interesting to learn a bit about the past :-) Thank you very much for it.
Glad you enjoyed!
I have been lucky to find both the Chloe Paddington and a Marc Jacobs Stam bag in charity shops in the last couple of years. I used the Stam bag regularly and would love another. Everything comes back in fashion if you wait so when they do I’m prepared!
Woowww you’ve attack gold!
Pleaseee do a makeup tutorial! Yours always looks flawless 😍
Aahhh thank you!! 😭
Omg I liveddddd for my white Louis Vuitton multicolour speedy!! I wish I’d kept her 😩
What a bag!!
