One of my all time fav beats. A downright haunting atmosphere like you’re anxiously walking around in a ghost town with no one left but you instinctually feel like someone staring at you in some hidden spot. Super sluggish piano, tambourine here and there, bass and drums are very plain. It’s like the instrumental is desperately trying to stay on beat but they end up hitting the beat just a fraction of a second too early. And obviously Kendrick goes hard as F for three sweet verses.

I don't see the horror aspect of this song this is more depressing if anything like your reminiscing while in a depressed state.
I feel like K RINO "Man with the mask" is more what you described that definitely sounds like psychological horror.

    3:12 onwards
addicted to those melancholic brass-like sounds, especially at 3:30

    I agree to disagree
    Holding my thoughts together
    Scattered inside my mind
Only to find I’ll live forever
    In spirit and soul
    My body is dead
    I will never be whole
    God bless me
Why I know what I know?
Why I feel what I feel?
    Must I be this way?
    The burden of constant change
Heavy is the world around me
    The pressure I’m not amazed
    I’m wanting to be complacent
    Forgive me my mind racing
    Does peace truly exist?
I’ll pray but if I’m mistaken
The pain that I feel within me
    Is holy the rots contagious
Wrote this real quick. Kendrick taught me our thoughts are unique. Think about it. Share your thoughts. Be heard.

This entire song made me question myself. If Kendrick believes he will go to hell, then everyone of us is shunned.
