I love the black community and all they have done to make America the greatest place on earth to live. I was raised on food stamps in the projects for 5 years and all my friends was black. They were great buddies and athletes and I learned how to be a awesome baseball pitcher and football quarterback because of their encouragement and hard luck teaching. Yes i got bumps n bruises and im thankful they taught me to stand up for myself.

This is when music was music!! I love that these guys all dressed in suits and ties, choreographed their moves, and sang live!! I can actually paint a picture in my mind as they’re singing!!

Do doubt Dave. This music is absolutely timeless. I grew up in NY, where it was played constantly on 77 WABC and 66 WNBC daily. I'm so fortunate to have grown up in the best musical eras ever.

What a fabulous voice ,money was tight back then just rented my first house a son on the way but had to buy this record and played it to death.
I so miss this era when we sang songs for the woman we love,without referring to them as bitches or hoes. Truly sad indeed.

As a child when I listened to this song on my moms record player, I always felt something and I use to cry. I don’t know why but his voice was so beautiful. And listening to this now, wooow, not much has changed. His voice still touches my soul. Such classic music that still gets played and sounds just as good as it did 33 years ago! ❤️❤️❤️

Not the original lead singer. Russell Thompkins Jr was the lead singer.He has his own group the "New Stylistics". This guy Eban Brown is good, but Russell is better by far.
Their name fits them perfectlyl with so much style

What a terrific group they were an era that will never be repeated today’s music doesn’t come close they knew how to sing back then I could listen to them all day .
This was when men talked good about woman, and they dressed like men.
I remember having my Oscar de Laurenta 2 pc suit fitted at Men's Wear house in Calgary. I was a slim guy, lol. I felt like a million dollars! The Stylistics remind me of when men cared about how the looked.

Only Russell Thompkins jr is the real deal. Lead singer and recorded over 300 songs over 30 plus years as Stylistic lead. Eban hired in 2000 to imitate Russell's falsetto and sing songs Russell recorded the gold silver platinum and double platinum singles and albums.

The Stylistics are one of my favorite music groups in the music industry way down memory lanes.I also like Russell Thompkins Jr's singing voice before the new lead singer doing right now. Herb Murrell is only surviving member of the group.
