No Bakelite, solid polished aluminium casting, a lovely camera, great presentation, thanks. The winding method you were using was for 12 images, but it is designed for 24 45x30 "half" frame images, the sequence is wind to figure 1 in first window [or any subsequent number up to 12], take shot, then wind figure 1 to next window, take shot, then wind figure 2 to first window, take shot, then wind figure 2 to second window, take shot, then wind figure 3 to first window, take shot, and so on....... Best to use easily removable light proof material over the red windows these days.Oh one more thing, on this model the lens is not collapsible it is fixed, at least mine is.
You have very knowledgeable knowledge of this camera model... I have heard good teaching. Thank you.
@@lian68812 I hope I didn't upset you, anyone can make a mistake and that includes me :-) You have a massive collection of cameras, i think I must have sixty at most and trying not to buy any more as I am running out of storage space. I wonder if you just collect cameras, or are you using them too? Are you searching for any special cameras or does almost anything go provided you don't have it? that's it, I am off to bed now, keep yourself safe and good luck.
Don't worry. I have been grateful for your advice. I was a photographer when I was young, and now I've just become a person who loves the camera so much. It's a pure camera collector. I'll think about the future schedule next time... hahahaha
@@lian68812 Yes, it becomes an obsession after a while, you don't realise it is happening until it is too late ;-))) Cheers
Thank you for this fine presentation. This used to be my father's camera back in the 70s. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I have this camera. My Grandfather bought it for me on my 14th birthday. I am now 78 and it still sits on the shelf to admire. Only problem is the centre focus ring has stopped turning. Maybe its corroded .
I have one but the focus ring us stiff but love it. I have just read online you can use 35mm film the canister sits snuggly in to the holder, would need to cover up the red windows.
I have one of these cameras. Despite being almost an aluminum Holga, the one I have produces very acceptable images. Unlike Holga class cameras, this one doesn't try to use too much of he image circle, leaving the aberrations and field curvature mostly outside the frame mask. And it's hard to argue with the economy of 24 frames on a roll of 120.
hello, thankyou for this video, its been hard to find info on this model. i was wodering how much would a camera like this sell for? it is being sold in a second hand store for just £1 near me, im hoping to be able to buy it when coronavirus calms down and shops open agian but for now ill have to just see it in the window :,( how expensive would the film for it be too? i hope to take some nice pictures with it so hopefully it isnt too bad, especislly considdering is practially free for the actual camera i wouldnt mind paying more for film as its so much nicer than digital :)
You are from England. Most of the cameras I collected were collected while walking around Cherity shops and car boots sales during my seven years in London. England is the best place to collect cameras I've ever experienced I wish you a good camera collection. I wish you good health.
I have a similar but possibly older model. No flash cold shoe and less details on the lens ring. There is film in it from many years ago when my father upgraded his camera. How do I rewind the film?
My video shows how to rewind the film when it is about 1:20' If you look up the camera model on Google, you will find the camera details.
