Got my 77” A95L & hooked up the Bravia-Cam, not for gesture-control, but because I thought I’d be able to use Voice-Command to turn on/off the tv, seeing the unit also has build-in microphone. I know I can use the remote for voice-command, but I was really hoping to be able to say; “Hey, Google. Turn on the TV”.. Is that not possible?
Yes...and you dont even need the cam for it, you can control your house lights and what ever else is compatible too! The TV itself has a built in Mic for full voice control without using the remotes own SEPARATE built in Mic (like my previous AF9 had) but you will have to enable it first in the settings. Unlike in the vid, The A95L has an updated unit with a dedicated cam port instead of a USB lead to USB port, so you just push/click it into the port and follow the on screen instructions when it's recognised. The TV mic is much better than scrabbling about for the remote each time, and you can just shout if you're in the hall or another room and it hears you! For me searching for Zoom gives no results?!
If I have a Sonos surround sound setup for audio (Ark soundbar, subwoofer, and 2 Era 330's for rear surrounds) will the audio calibration feature of the Bravia cam function on an A80L? I don't expect it will, but if it did I'd buy it!
Wtf, my sony bravia cam doesnt have USB cable. It connects directly to the TV through a plug but it doesnt show up on my TV menu.
And gestures controls? Where? How? Nothing mentioned, although marketing included gestures controls also. :(
