Thanks to the channel to bring R.D. Burman's one more aspect through Ustad Shujaat Khan. It was a treat to listen finer nuances of sitar in the context. Once again proven that music has no barrier of genre, border or time.

Ustaad Sujaat Hussain Khan has explained well about RD creations. RD has even learnt hindustani music from another Guru..A sarod player..Well I forgot the name....I have been doing certain research.Just to clarify that he was well-versed in Hindustani music. RD learnt music from S.D.Burman , his father and also Salil Choudhry. No doubt why we all are mesmerized even today and coming centuries. God bless our BOSS

Wah lajwaab,Pancham was God gifted musician, only few are are born with such great talent. Every song created by him has melody and feel in it.I wonder he has made such classical songs and are so sweet to listen.Like 1.Tere bina zindagi se koi. 2.Aey re Pawab dhoonde kisey 3.Bada Natkhat hai. 4.Bechara dil kya kare, sawan jale And many more.Love you Dada.
Sir Namaste! It is so gladdening to see a musician like you. Thanks to Internet. We are getting to know those who never got the name outside their small clan of musicians.

Some amazing insights by Shujaat sahab on Pancham's immortal music. Mr. Shujaat himself is a great composer, i particularly liked the song Ai Khuda from movie Mr Singh Mrs Mehta (2010).
Waah ustaad... This video means a lot among the lot of mushrooming clips who claim proximity to RDBurman after his work is getting appreciated posthumously...Anyways...I am a fan of your performances ... Loved this one immensely... God bless you...

Behtereen analysis, Shujaat Sa'ab! Boht meherbaani. Loved every bit of it. Would be an incredible learning experience for us amateurs if you do more analyses of contemporary music from time to time.
At 5:32, he started talking about Panna Ki Tamanna, a song I wasn't quite fond of, and almost always skipped our tuned out of. But I heard speak of it, and the thought and construct behind it, and I went back to it this time with some education. Not only is my opinion of it renewed, I'm also almost apologetic for having missed its genius, considering I'm an RD disciple otherwise. A special mention of the violin in the background, it has its own track, but complements the song so well, you almost want to split the layers, and listen just to it. What a time it must have been... I wasn't born then, but consider myself fortunate for having heard and appreciated it at all. Many thanks for the video.
