      Stoked that Bloodbowl is getting some love :) Also, a severe lack of high level Harlequin tutorials would love to see your grim dark take on them!

      Love the content, I’ve mistakenly purchased some water mixable oil paint. Would you recommend me getting regular oil paint instead or is it similar for shading?

    • @demonrich
      @demonrich  Před rokem

      @@totinoshotpizzarolls3312 You should be fine with it. I have used water mixable oil paint before and you get some nice effects with it. I've even used it on Golden Demon winning pieces for weathering!

    Just want to know that I've spent many, many years on CZcams. And this video I play almost once a day. I think you've done excellent work here. I am attempting to put this style pauldron my my current model. I won't do your video justice, but I just want to say this video is my favorite video on CZcams. You've done excellent, excellent work.

    Im using this as a reference for my General Radahn cosplay from Elden Ring and this really intimidates me for the timeline of my lifesize armor 😢, but! If it turns out half as good as this, it'll be really great!

    Thanks for the comment re: light volumes and realism. I think one of the reason that stuff like NMM really makes me hesitate is that I'm worried about getting the light 'right'. I did want to ask, do you have a kind of rule of thumb for how many bounce highlights you use? or should it just basically be to taste, and based on, the main focuse of the model? Love your work! I watch your videos quite a lot. So thank you very much for making them!

  • @ainsinnes

    I noticed you've generally used the same colours here to paint bronze, as you have for other tutorials involving gold. Is the trick to creating a distinction between the two metals about the relative size of highlight volumes, or the speed of transition through the highlight colours? For my banana-versary project, I'd like to paint a Custodes in NMM, as a mile marker from my first ever mini. I''d like to do the trim and filigree as a different type of 'yellow' metal and was wondering what the trick to it was.

    Wait, so I agree that this looks like bronze and rogal dorn looked like gold, but aren't they the exact same recipe? I love your RD gold recipe and have used it a lot, I guess I expected bronze to be different. Is it mainly in how much balor brown you use?

    Could you suggest a tmm technique?

  • @saltedllama2759
    @saltedllama2759 Před rokem +5

    People get anti-NMM because they watched a thousand videos without trying it, tried it once, it didn't go how they wanted, so they returned to sloppily applying true metal + wash. Very few of the results we want as miniature painters are the product of "natural talent," but rather practice. The ones against things like NMM typically don't want to practice.

    • @timstinies9519
      @timstinies9519 Před měsícem
