Hey, we're Chad and Paul. We lived a pretty typical life up until a few years ago. Chad was a speech-language pathologist and Paul was an attorney. We worked in New York City and by all means were set. But we didn't feel settled. We wanted something different. We started a bunch of online businesses, quit our 9-5's and now we live an unconventional life in our van (a Storyteller Overland MODE 4x4). Follow along with us on our journey.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both of you. Thank you for all the entertaining and informative videos over the last few pandemic years. It really helped keep me sane and has only increased my appetite for one day getting a van and traveling around. I am hopeful that with the flood of vans on the market the last two years that eventually many will find their way back to the market at much more affordable rates in the coming years (hey, a guy can hope can't he?). Hi Chadd & Paul (u too Orlando and Carl), Ever since that adventure expo where you two first fell in love with the deck lounge, Iâve been expected this roof upgrade but you guys really went all out everywhere on your beautiful Stealth mode! For a minute I thought I was watching pimp my ride!! So cool. Whatâs not to love about this van. Journey on!

Did full time living in a Travato but there is no way I could full time in that van. Be a great short term adventure van canât see living it it.
I have been researching and watching real user reviews. I was leaning toward the Travago GL but hands down the Storyteller Overland is the best bang for your buck. I like that they don't have that huge waste of space with a wet bath. I would go with the Beast simply because it's better to have the 4x4 and not need it then to need it and not have it.
100! FYI all of the MODE 4x4s (beast, stealth and classic) are 4x4.

Weâve been leaving it on the groovelounge and actually prefer it that way now! Otherwise you can roll it up and store it in the garage, or above the flex space/love seat.
Great video, so many upgrades to want... Question, am I remembering wrong that you had mentioned earlier about a bed extension? If so, CAV don't have them yet?
Weâre not getting one, but canyon adventure vans does have them I believe. We have some friends with them that love them

@@ChadandPaul trying to leave Utah today to go play in Tahoe! I try to go where the snow goes! Then up the west coast and over to Big Sky Montana til the end of February then back south through Utah and then to Colorado. We will catch up unless youâre headed to FL
Very cool upgrades. Still waiting for my Stealth. Just heard from La Mesa that itâs scheduled for a January build. I noticed that yours didnât have the stock racks on the back doors and you opted to install the owl van tire carrier and storage box instead. I may opt to do the same. Did you have the stock racks removed or did your van ship without them? Iâm concerned that if I remove them I may have some holes in the back doors to deal with.
Hey Jay! You can have them removed easily- there's only one tiny hole (about the size of your pinky finger, if you have little pinkies) that can be covered, and you can get the MB emblem for the door. Really appreciate how Storyteller Overland designed the NVADER rear racks so if someone decides they don't want them, they can be easily removed. Owl Vans can do it for you if you're interested.

While I like the showtime curtain, those light gaps up above would be a deal breaker. Wonder if there's a mod to completely seal off that light?
Haha it's nuts! We're headed to Florida soon and will definitely be wearing in that rooftop patio. We've found the showtime curtain actually does good job keeping out the light- at least for our needs. Though we do tend to get up before it gets bright out.
Yoo yâall literally have the hook up! Any chance those pop up chairs that you have in the back of your van work for say a Skoolie build Iâm working on? I ask bc they said they specialize only in STO and Revels. Would love to have those seats in my skoolie

Yes! That was still in development when we visited. I would give Canyon Adventure Vans a call or shoot them an e-mail and tell them you want one. It's really functional and looks super clean.

10:53 if they added a valance along the rail it would make a big difference to block out that light leakage over the top of the curtain.

What nice mods. Love the storage under the bed and the mirror. Can you use the work mode for a ânapâ mode without constructing the entire bed? Leaving only half up? Just curious.

All of these mods are SO COOL! I know with custom mods the prices can vary a lot but I'd still be curious to know a ballpark/median market price of how much these mods would cost to do -- said because I'd probably get every one of them if my budget was unlimited lol

We love all the mods! Does the TV use 110 or 12 volt?
110- inverter needs to be on to use it.
How do you access the rooftop aircon for service? Are you willing to tell the cost of all upgrades combined?
If for some reason you need to pop off the a/c cover to access the air conditioner you can remove the chair system. You can go to canyon adventure vans website to look at the prices of each item youâre interested in.

I don't think so. It feel quite solid and stows away securely. We had a TV in our first van and didn't have any problems.
