- For me this felt like a proper adventure, cut off by the tide I was the sole inhabitant of my own Scottish island, steeped in history with loads of ww2 structures and buildings to explore I was hoping for this to be one of my best camp to date,
As always theres plenty of rum and some good food, hope you enjoy !!!

Bit like Holy Island with the causeway and always a funny feeling when you are completely cut off. Looked a great place, apart from the glass and fires, that people made no attempt to cover over. It may not have been the pitch you were expecting (where have a heard that before) but it still did look pretty good to me. Absolutely loved the time lapse mind and that steak was a beast lol! Who wants boil in the bag cardboard when you can have a feast like that - not me!! The weather may not have been the best but you had food, you had rum and you had shelter from the rain, not bad at all, cheers Alan
cheers Al, it was a great little camp to be honest, im starting to think there is no such thing as the perfect place to pitch.
I don't think I'll ever go back to the boil the bag food, just shows you can pretty much cook anything,
give me a tent some rum and some food and im happy whatever the weather

That is a very cool adventure indeed. There are a number of island off the coast of Nova Scotia that a person can access at low tide and become marooned as the high tide approaches. Great privacy for sure! Bruce and Otis

in thought that Rach, I stumbled across in on google earth so thought I had to give it try, if im being honest though the amount of rubbish, glass fires and even the beach was crawling in sand flies !!! I think I pitched in about the only half decent place on the whole island ...

Cheers Alan and new kind of adventure from you this time! An island that can be cut off by the tide is a bit different than the wild and lonely highlands. Soon you will be doing wild camps in the cites if this continue - no I am joking off course! The problem with this kind of sites is the rubbish you get from those who just want a party and not the nature; so we better keep those green spaces free from pollution! I was working away for a week in scotland, came across this little island on goggle earth so thought id give it a try as something a little different,

yeah unfortunately the Scottish weather is very much 54 weather, it was really cool to see all ww2 stuff.

the tripod was mine its what I use to do the Timelapse.

Turned out great after saying it didn't go well! Nice location alan, to think, we were only like 35 miles away at a castle outside edinburgh before the weather changed 😂 📌 🍺
Haha this was a few days after I spoke to you, I think it was on the Wednesday, yeah it was a great little camp, I actually preferred the other camp,
This was ruined by the amount of rubbish etc,

Awesome place to camp. I think a drone delivery service for necessities like beer would be a very good idea when the tide goes out.
Probably should do the cooking while there's still some sunlight.

I should of taken an England flag, pee some of the locals off lol, drone would be no good its on the flight path for Edin burgh airport hence why I didnt put min e top lol
