I think it’s a 10% extra speed at 10 coins, not 100% sure. Also, Simon should focus on driving over corners with mushrooms.

My Physics Teacher in High School lived in Japan for a while and went to a bunch of Mario Kart LAN Tournaments and he learned something about the design of Mario Kart. The characters sizes range from Lightweight->Medium->Heavy (ex:Toad is lightweight, Mario is Medium, and Bowser is Heavy). Lightweight characters are able to pick up speed faster but their top speed is generally slower than the other classes. Medium is just as it’s name suggest, the middle in top speed, time to get to top speed, and weight. Heavy class characters take a little bit longer to get to their top speed, but their top speed is greater than any other class. It’s rare to see people in Japan not use Mario or another medium character because it’s balanced in everything

Simon you have to use the items you get, you're holding on to them for way too long and focus on collecting coins. Coins give you a boost

I don’t think he does cus he actively tries to avoid the coins for the most part.
Gun you hate Baby Park Simon you need to use any boosts that you have around the corners so you save an extra 2 seconds going around
